This was my first time at this location and unfortunately my go-to order of the sea salt caramel coffee with no sugar fell flat. It was too watered down and didn't hit like it usually does. I tried the viral Vietnamese coffee with sea salt cream and that was made well but definitely had way too much ice and not enough drink. Service was quick and staff was nice.

85 has recently started selling taro rolls--two for $2.40--and they are so good. They're similar to Porto's cheese rolls, but filled with a taro filling instead. I have honestly never seen this anywhere else. Every time I have visited this location, they were sold out, so I was thrilled to finally try them today--and they were absolutely worth it. Worth, worth, worth it! I actually like the taro version more than the cheese one. For cheese rolls, I still prefer Porto's since they have a stronger cheese flavor and a creamier filling.

We decided to stop in at 85° to get boba. We ordered a green tea with boba, a mango green tea with lychee and a soft jasmine tea with lychee. I tasted all three and they were quite good. The front of the store was clean and the line moved reasonably well. I'm only giving this place three stars, because I had to go use the restroom and it was just filthy. The door was stuck and the lock was very difficult to close. The floor was covered with all kinds of stuff, paper stuff, and there were no paper towels. I hope I never have to use this bathroom, although I did let them know what the counter that it was a mess and there were no paper towels.

The cake wasn't soaked in coffee.

I bought a whole tiramisu cake from this bakery for a friend's birthday since it's his favorite dessert. Unfortunately, it was very disappointing. The cake had no tiramisu flavor at all, there was no coffee taste whatsoever. The only thing that resembled tiramisu was the cacao powder on top. The white cream tasted old, and the cake itself was dry, which makes me believe it wasn't fresh. The cream didn't taste like mascarpone at all, it was more like buttercream, which completely changed the texture and flavor you would expect from a traditional tiramisu. I've tried a dessert from this bakery before, and while it wasn't amazing, it wasn't bad either. I decided to give them another chance, but sadly this experience was not good. I wouldn't consider this a reliable option for special occasions.

They have a large selection of bread, drinks, and cakes. A few of my favorite are the taro marble bun, coconut twist, milk pudding bun! They also sell loaves of bread and egg tarts. The sea salt coffee is my favorite. It sweetened Americano with sea salt whipped cream! The sweetness can be adjusted too. Delicious! Parking is easy and located in the rear in the structure or there is street parking. *Tip: Come early for the best selection of bread!

I went to the Arcadia location for some pastries. Not too busy. Friendly and helpful staff. Store is clean. The selection is good. Parking garage is behind Rating: 4 Stars

I always liked 85 degree bakery and cafe. This time I went to the one in Arcadia, CA. 1. The seating area is huge and plenty. I like the fact they not only have tables and chairs but also 1-person sofa and coffee tables. 2. The breads and cakes are neatly displayed. 3. Service was quick and the cashiers were nice. How can I resist the yummy cakes?! Buy buy buy!!! Uh, I forgot to take a picture of the cafe area. Next time.

    Wishing 85 has better packaging

They've been running out of small boba used in zebra milk tea but it's a good thing because I get to sub with lychee bits and it's very nice. green tea with lychee bits will go very well. Update on cake slices and prices in caption. Enjoy

A boy cashier just left all my bread like this, no tape? Some bread dropped out when I was walking to the parking lot. Dude even after paying that guy let me get the receipt by myself, and all the bread still in the tray. If you don't wanna work just leave . Manager should hire better staff

On a Saturday morning in mid June, my sister and I came here for pasties. The parking garage lot is behind bakery. Inside has an interesting layout. Rectangle area of baked breads and it's kinda cramped with spacious tables area. The line was short to pay for pastries. Nice ambiance in the seating areas with music in the background. The garlic cheese bread is my goto bread and it taste good.

I'm here with my mom and got some pastries for breakfast. There's a great selection of pastries. The cashier was extremely rude when I tried to scan the points. She said that it won't scan if I did it that way in the rudest tone. Not friendly at all my receipt says Kaitlyn but I'm not sure if that was her. She's a hispanic woman and I just felt so unwelcomed by her and how rude she was.

We bought an elote, tortuga and can't recall the third piece of pan, and alfajores. The elote was delicious, I love that you can see little specs of cinnamon, soft and tender and vanilla scent. The tortuga was a bit more spongy, fragrant, and nice balanced of sweetness. The alfajores were buttery, crisp and smeared with dulce de leche. I needed a bday cake and decided to order the strawberry shortcake, because it looked so pretty. The cake was a hit with the family. The frosting was super light, the filling is one layer of custard and the other of light whipped cream and berries. The sponge is moist, the cake is not sweet, but decadent in its creamy texture. The inside of the store is aesthetically appealing, traditional glass cases showcase the pan. I'm so glad to have a nearby bakery and cake shop!

Like some of the reviews already mentioned, this location is more of a "grab and go" type of place. They have a solid selection of cakes, pastries, and drinks. If you are looking for their full breakfast menu, the Monrovia location down the street is where you would want to go! When I visited, they were celebrating their 1-year anniversary with an outside table of samplers. They had a balloon arch outside to signal to the community that they are celebrating something special as well. The lady out front shared with me what they had to offer, and she also mentioned that they do catering! I like my coffee strong but also on the sweet side. When I asked for the stronger option, I was recommended to get the cappucino rather than the latte and they can make the caffeine a little bit more concentrated without sacrificing the flavor. The cookies were a little dry for my taste but maybe it was because the samplers were sitting outside for a little too long. I would go back just to try the breakfast sandwich, but the experience of grabbing food was pretty fast and the food was flavorful enough! Excited to have a closer Cafe de Olla to me and wishing them so much success!

But as a once-in-a-blue-moon splurge, I'd say it's doable. The staff overall are courteous and accommodating, though not overly friendly. It's definitely the kind of place where you can tell it's meant to feel more upscale rather than casual. As soon as you walk in, everything looks polished and well put together. That being said, I'd give it about a 3/5 for overall value. If you're budget-conscious but looking for an occasional treat, this could be a good spot. However, if you're on a tight budget, this probably won't be the place for you. On the other hand, if you don't mind spending a bit more, you may really enjoy it here. As for the cakes, I'd say they're decent overall. I'm not sure all of them are worth the price, but there are definitely a handful that stand out and are worth trying.

I've driven past Gokí Café countless times on my way to work and finally decided to stop in--and…read moreI'm so glad I did. For those who aren't familiar, Gokí Café draws inspiration from the flavors and traditions of Oaxaca, Mexico, which is reflected throughout the menu. You'll find everything from horchata and mazapán lattes to Oaxacan-inspired drinks, pastries, and food items. I ended up ordering the iced Horchata Latte and an oatmeal cranberry pecan cookie. One important tip: mix the latte before taking a sip. The espresso sits at the top while the milk settles at the bottom, so giving it a good stir makes all the difference. Once mixed, it was absolutely delicious. You could taste the horchata, cinnamon, and espresso all working together perfectly. It was smooth, flavorful, and definitely strong enough to get me through my morning. The oatmeal cranberry pecan cookie was equally impressive. It was soft, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the coffee. Honestly, I finished both much faster than I intended. The café itself is beautiful inside. It's clean, cozy, and thoughtfully designed. One thing I especially appreciated was the study/work area along the wall. Each seat has its own outlet nearby, which makes it a great place to bring a laptop and get some work done without fighting over charging space. The only challenge is parking. The café is located near the railroad crossing, and the parking lot is fairly small. If you arrive during a busy time, you may need to look for street parking or park nearby. Getting out can also take a little patience if a train happens to be passing and traffic begins to back up. The owners and staff were welcoming, and while English may not be their first language, they were kind, patient, and made every effort to communicate with customers. If you speak Spanish, that can definitely make things a little easier as well. Overall, this is a charming local café with unique drinks, excellent pastries, and a welcoming atmosphere. I'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu because there were so many items I wanted to try.

One cashier behind the order counter who is also making the drinks. No clean trays were available. Shelves were quite empty. One person "carefully" putting out the pastries from a rolling cart. The person filling the shelves decided to help at the counter due to the line. I can see the pastry I want on the rolling cart that got moved and parked behind an employee-only area. Seeing how busy they were, I patiently waited, while customers keep coming in, to ask for a tray. By then I probably already waited about close to 10 minutes. Then I patiently waited for another 10 minutes or so after all those customers had been served to get my desired pastry. It was the slowest service I've experienced at a PB.
