Was excited to try this place, but everything they had on the shelf had soy....that was disappointing.

A little late for this review, but we came here during their soft opening. The lines were long but all the goodies were there. We also stopped by during their grand opening and was able to get a reusable tote bag and a t-shirt. We had to spend $30 in order to get the t-shirt but it was worth it. So happy there's one in the West Valley and no longer have to drive to Chandler for it! read more

I waited so long to finally visit this location (I have been to so many other 85 degree) I was so underwhelmed and irritated. Every single person who was working today (I went around 1:30) was EXTREMELY slow. We waited 20 MINUTES for our drinks to be done (we ordered two really basic drinks). The bread is amazing! All of them. Three bites and they disappear! BUT not the best for drinks. They take about 20 minutes to make your drink if you order one. The wait to pay also takes some time, especially if the people before you get a cake or a slice of cake. So don't come here in a rush, service is slow. The bread tastes great though. read more

I can't say much about the guy at the speaker/window, but I ordered the Vietnamese coffee with sea salt foam after i saw it on tiktok and I LOVE Vietnamese coffee so I decided to stop by. However this time it was a let down because my drink was literally done in 5 sips. there was way too much ice in an obnoxiously skinny little cup that was supposed to be a "large". the coffee didn't taste strong enough like usual Vietnamese coffee either. we walked in, and there were only three tables inside all of which were taken. It's a very large place, but very poorly organize organized. We walked out and left. There is plenty of space outside to add tables, chairs, and umbrellas for customers to enjoy outdoor seating. If the owner were to invest in outdoor seating, it would bring them a lot more customers. First off I never write reviews...this is solely on my online/drive thru experience. The first time I went to this place I had a rude lady at the drive thru, I excused it being brand new and just opening. Now, I placed my online order for my mom's Mother's Day Cake well in advance - 2 weeks. I go to the drive thru cause it's convenient not to carry a cake by yourself, so why not? Thought it be a breeze, no one in line and I already paid for it long ago. Nope. I get to the window and I'm asked to show confirmation of my order. Mind you, the app itself is a pos, and difficult to use. Nor did I get an online email confirmation for my order. I show him the screenshot. I'm now asked to show a detailed order of what I order. Like wtf?! Shouldn't you have that in your system? I'm searching for the emails, but nothing of my order, only advertisement ads for the bakery. After what seemed an eternity of him watching me search for this damn email, then says, do you have the order confirmation number? I'm like yea, it was in the screenshot I showed you. And after that, he couldn't still find it & telling him the exact date/time I placed my order. Finally, asks what's your phone number, maybe I can look it up... ding ding ding!! Well, what do you know?! He FINALLY found my order & goes to grab the cake. Acts like nothing happened and says, Happy Mother's Day as if it was all good.. Although, I love 85* pastries. They could do better at this location. This is my 3rd time coming here on a weekday because its the closest one to the West Valley. I would come after work so typically around 430-445pm. And every single time ive come on a weekday, there are no pastries available. Theres prob only a tray or 2 left. I would ask the workers if they have any more and The response I get from workers Is that they typically dont make a lot during the weekdays. I was hoping that would change but apparently not. Your staff is aloof. Better training is needed. I went to pickup the order I made by phone. They retrieved the little box of cake slices from the fridge and handed it to me. While driving to my friend's party, I noticed chocolate stains on my white shirt sleeve. None of my cake slices were chocolate, how did I get these chocolate stains on me?? I found hardened chocolate smeared under my box, which I gently balanced on my forearm as I opened my car door. Somehow they got chocolate on the bottom of my box before it went into the fridge. Most workers if they're paying attention I think would have recognized what they did and would have changed the box. But no. They either didn't notice, or just didn't care. Please train your staff to be more attentive and conscientious and care, have some pride in customer service. This was quite embarrassing to show up with brown stains on my shirt! Hello first off, i am not a picky person when it comes to food but i have a bone to pick with this "bakery". As soon as i walked in, there was no room to walk and look comfortably, secondly the bread was going out quick and when i did try the bread it tasted as if it was sitting there for a while. The service that the employee in red gave me was alright, she was on her phone and i tried to go up to her to ask about a pastry and walked away super quick. the other employees did look very overwhelmed.. i will say but they were great and super helpful despite it being super busy! read more

The food and drinks (if made right) are good, but the service is terrible. Why does it take 20 minutes to make one drink?? I've been here multiple times, and even if it's not busy and there's only 1 other order, it still takes 15-20 minutes to get my drink. One time I made a drink order, waited about 20 minutes and then the girl told me that they didn't have anymore foam. But didn't give me any other option, just said, "we're out of foam." Well ok...but I paid for the drink already so what do I do? She just looked at me like "IDGAF." So I said, well can I get a refund then? Made me wait in line at the front to re-explain the situation, then that person had to go check to verify what was going on, and then finally give me a refund. Waste of time. Not sure how this business can function like that, if they don't shape up their employees, they're going to lose business. I actually started to come less often because I know I'd have to wait a long time for my drink order, so I end up choosing to go elsewhere. I would have given a higher rating but many racks and sections of the baked goods were missing. So the selection of goods was very limited, even though we got there about 1/2 hour after they opened. I picked up their raisin coconut tart and matcha roll. The coconut tart lacked raisins (three raisins just did not cut it) but was good. It tasted just like a coconut macaroon. I wanted to love this bakery. It was cute when we walked in and had a great assortment of pastries. This place was a disappointment, from start to finish. There were big signs telling you to order your drinks HERE on these computers, but the computers weren't working. We waited 25 minutes in line, checkout was SO slow! When we finally got up there, she told us it was cash only, because their internet was down. That should be announced long before checkout, like on the door when you're coming in! I dug around and found the cash, but many people in line behind me were super pissed that they waited so long and they didn't have cash, only to put their stuff down and leave. When the girl went to make the latte, she told us that they were out of milk, so she had to use soy or oat milk. Would have been nice to know and my daughter would have ordered something else. Alternative "milk" products are pretty much gross. While we were waiting for my sandwich to get toasted and my daughter's latte to be made, one of the girls behind the coffee counter was absolutely stuffing her face with huge bites off of a spoon, right on the food and coffee counter! She brought my daughter's coffee with her cheeks full of food and wiping her mouth. Really?? The food was ok, mostly just MEH, but the pineapple cake was absolutely disgusting. It didn't taste like pineapple at all and it was dry as a bone......like build a house with it; suck the spit out of your mouth, inedible dry. Customer service ONLY because I love the product.. I've been to 85 degrees everywhere! I'm patient and it takes alot for me to get annoyed. However, the last THREE times I've been there, yes 3 times in the less than 2 weeks open the people are so rude and sound annoyed. Will I keep going? Yes.. but you guys would definitely benefit from hiring more friendly, less sarcastic employees. I've never had this at other 85 bakeries so I know it's not how you roll!
