Peach Green Tea
Travis P.

Pretty typical 85°C with good breads and drinks. I was in the area and stopped by to grab a peach green tea. What I like is that the drink prices are much cheaper than many other tea spots, and the quality is still decent. The location itself is fairly small, so it's better as a grab-and-go spot rather than a place to sit and hang out.

Smaller 85c set up more as a coffee shop than a bakery. Came in for a quick ice coffee before going to see Angelina Jordan's concert at the Alex Theater. Service was quick and the ice coffee was good as always.

I feel like it's so hard to find the cheesecake bites these days! Stumbled upon this 85 degrees and was so glad to see they had a few!! service friendly! Simple and nice interior.

Mooncakes for sale, mooncakes for sale! Did I say ? This is exciting! Mooncake! Mooncake mooncake mooncake!

Brioche 5/5 - this is my go to! So soft even after a couple days. It's sweet but not overpowering sweet. Mango and berry take 4/5- I thought these would have more jam but there isn't much. The bread itself just tastes like the brioche which is still good We came on a Saturday night around 5pm and they still had a good selection of bread. Some other ones I go to, they run out of bread towards the end of the day. There was only one cashier so the line moved kinda slowly. It is a smaller location and not much seats. But they do validate parking.

I love all 85. I've only had one bad experience at an 85. And they fixed it. This location is much like the other ones. Great service, fresh pastries, wide variety and clean restaurants. Parking is bad. Right in the corner of a busy area. I came in for some oolong milk tea. And I loved it. As usual. I really love their prices. Everything is priced fairly and I've had plenty of their pastries and desserts. All good! I spend enough money at 85 to earn points in freebies. So that helps. Not much to say. Just shedding love on this location. I hope my review helps. Keep up the good work guys.

Iced drink doesn't even get ice!!!

This place has gotten soo bad, the staff are ignorantly busy, and the drinks taste bad just bad! Would love to support the business for the cakes and pastries, but unpleasant staff are making it difficult to return to this location.

I really like this location. I was in another location (Alhambra) earlier and that was a huge disappointment. They didn't carry all the goodies and this one had more than enough. It was also very spacious and had plenty of seats. If you're in the area, be sure to give this place a try.

Something's definitely wrong here!! What happened to proper business attitude and sales skills? Am I totally off, or have they really just never gone to business school or sales training or learned basic politeness, or has Covid created disseminated sociopathy? So I went to pick up some items (6/26, 1:30pm), each one of them nicely wrapped in a clear bags such that there is no contamination by other people. So far so good! But then I went to the cashier. The lady before me with several items elected to go to the restroom before completing her transaction. Can happen - no judgment. But the sales gentleman wasn't so gentle and just elected to ignore me. Not at word, no "I'm sorry I need to take care of this first", or "I can take care of you at the next register", or something along those lines. But simply just ignoring me. I would not appreciate or accept this in my line of work either. PREVIOUS REVIEW Amazing selection of pastries and other sweets/desserts that almost (!) reach the subtleness of European elegance and quality. Most items have to be taken out the display showcase, a few will have to be retrieved by the staff. Combined with a nice coffee, there is not much else to desire.

The customer service is awful- don't go and ask any questions, you'll get barked at. Won't be back at this location ever.

Hello Marc, Unfortunately, we do not have any dairy free cakes. I do apologize.

Has anyone bought a full size cake of any variety? if so what did you think?

Got dark chocolate cake. So moist, soft & not so sweet. Good for small gathering. Price is reasonable.

Always a pleasant experience at these bakeries. This Glendale bakery café was clean, bright, and beautifully organized with a large variety of pastries, cakes, and drinks on display. I tried the Strawberry Soft Cream Cake, Berries cake, Curry Croquette, and their signature iced Korean lattes. The pastries were soft and flavorful without being overly sweet, and the cakes looked just as good as they tasted. The curry croquette wasn't a favorite of mine. It was my first time trying and the spices didn't amaze my palette. I will have to try their garlic bread next time if I feel like getting something savory. Their sweets are always a hit for me! Overall, the staff was friendly and greeted customers warmly as they come in. Small parking lot at this location but still worth the wait. Good visit!

I returned to the store to request an exchange, but I was told that it is the customer's responsibility to check the expiration date. The staff pointed to a "Beyond Use Date" on the bottom of the packaging labeled July 20th. It is also the store's responsibility to not sell expired item. I went through the bread that were on the shelf with the worker and most of them had expiration date for the same day. If the bread is freshly baked each morning as they claim, it is unclear how it could expire on the same day it was made. I bought bread from Paris Baguette for many years, I have never experienced bread molding within one to two days. While the issue with the product itself is frustrating, I am most disappointed by how the situation was handled by the team. Also, I suggest putting the expiration date where it's visible so that customers can responsibly purchase bread.

Sweet Demi Lune Bakery & Café…read more Sweet Demi Lune Bakery & Café reminded me that we live for the wonderful experiences that remain to be discovered. After a wonderful lunch date with my wife at Raffi's Place (please read my review and thank me later) in Glendale, I decided to look for the perfect dessert. After scouting several nearby locations, I decided I was in the mood for a great cinnamon roll. Sweet Demi Lune Bakery & Café looked like the place that would deliver the experience I was seeking. SDLBC is listed as being in Glendale, but it's located in the historic Old Town of Montrose. That's beside the point; I only mention it because there are additional places to explore just up the street. We arrived around 3:00 p.m. on a Saturday, and there wasn't much of a selection left, including the highly sought-after cinnamon roll. The gentleman behind the counter greeted us warmly, and I immediately asked if that was all the pastries they had. He said yes. I contemplated leaving because of the nonexistent cinnamon roll, but I didn't want to be rude, so I decided to give the bakery a try since we were already there. So, we basically took half of what remained behind the glass display case: a Peach Almond Croissant, a Raspberry Pistachio Croissant, an Almond Croissant, and then my curiosity focused on a few lonely-looking pastries that were unfamiliar to my discerning eyes. I asked the gentleman what they were, and he replied with something that sounded completely foreign to me: Kouign-Amann. Kouign-Amann (pronounced queen ah-MAHN) is a traditional pastry from the region of Brittany, France. It is often considered one of the richest pastries in the world because it is made with just a few simple ingredients in generous proportions: bread dough, butter, and sugar. Figuring we needed a few more sweets for the road, we took all the remaining Kouign-Amanns. Two were the traditional version, and the other two were filled with crème and blueberry jam. We also ordered a Café Americano and a Café Mocha. While we waited for our drinks, I simply couldn't wait any longer. Like a kid on Christmas morning, I eagerly opened my gift and dug right into the Kouign-Amann. Hesitantly, I tore off a tiny piece with my fingers, expecting nothing extraordinary, and instantly gave birth to a brand-new experience that exploded in my mouth. The crisp exterior gave way to the soft, flaky center, followed by waves of what tasted like delicate honey. I tore off another piece and shared it with my wife. One look at her eyes told me she wanted more. By the time our drinks were ready, we had devoured one of the Kouign-Amanns and confessed to the gentleman behind the counter that we had just experienced pure ecstasy in the form of a pastry. Kouign-Amann is, in fact, one of the richest pastries in the world, so don't let the unfamiliar name keep you from trying one. The Café Americano and the Café Mocha were also exceptionally well prepared. With everything that's happening in the world these days, a simple yet profound experience like this reminded me how wonderful life can still be. Like Arnold said... "I'll be back." Enjoy!

I love the indoor seating, but they also have outdoor seating. I washed it down with a short Americano, two shots and I threw in some extra cream. It's delicious. The coffee has a nice mild flavor, but nothing beats the sweets. I have to tell you this chocolate mousse cake is the right portion otherwise I would eat the whole thing in this case the powers that be more wise and gave me a slice and Man was it delicious.

I'm always on the hunt for a Piroshki, one of my favorite delights that I think originated in…read moreRussia and is East European by origin. I think Papillon is Armenian which I believe has European cuisine, as Armenia is considered geographically to be within Western Asia (the Middle East) and the South Caucasus region. Sitting within the mountainous Armenian Highland, it acts as a transcontinental bridge between Eastern Europe and Asia. Their Piroshki is long and thin, whereas I'm accustomed to them being robust short stocky and round almost resembling a giant baked potato in size and shape. So these look like a "Chinese Donut" a.k.a. Youtiao (油条) in size and shape, same girth but length maybe 6"-8" long. What I liked is the filling of the Beef was minced ground beef with sauteed onion bits mixed into a blend and seasoned with a bit of spice but overall was very moist and juicy and the fried dough was very good. So, I'd recommend that. Oddly, I tried the Beef and Potato reluctantly thinking the pure beef option was going to be better... and the Potato was soft and perfect so I'm thinking they're equally good depending on your mood. I tried the beef empanada, and it was very good, similar flavor of the beef empanada to the piroshki but not exactly the same, otherwise I might say the empanada is bigger and gives more protein of the ground beef. The desert shaped like a peach fruit was very good. It reminded me of Asian style deserts where they're not overly sweet and has a healthy refreshing taste more so than being too overwhelming with thick sugary creams. I found out they have multiple locations. It feels maybe the Armenian and Russian community in So Cal are more toward this area and The Valley, so I do have to take what could be a 60-90 minute journey to come here, and even longer of a commute to their other locations. I think they'd do well in the SBBC (South Bay Beach Cities) down South past Santa Monica but before Long Beach and Orange County. I'd recommend this place for the food and service.
