I am so glad they opened 85° in North County so I don't have to drive down to San Diego or up to Tustin for my Asian bakery fix however I think this one is still working out a couple of its kinks and the prices are comparable but some of the baked goods I got were not quite up to the quality that I'm used to at 85° The Matcha chocolate buns I got were barely filled, but I will say the moon cakes and the bread were awesome. I am so happy this place is down the street from our place. We will definitely be a regular here. I just wish they stayed open past 2pm but it's okay. My fave is the spicy sausage roll, the fresh milk bun, the tomato ravioli roll, the cream cheese brioche bread, and the strawberry deluxe cake. Also I really loved the jalapeño cream cheese roll too, everything we got here was delicious even the drinks, I loved the strawberry mango blended drink, fresh strawberry milk drink with boba , and the lychee milk tea drink with crystal boba was good. This bakery/coffee shop is amazing! I ordered a cake last month and it was the best I have ever tasted! I usually don't like cake because it always seems too dry and sweet. This is what I ordered: Deluxe Chocolate Mousse 8". Chocolate chiffon cake layered with chocolate mousse and dusted with sweet snow sugar and cocoa powder. Decorated with dark chocolate flakes, strawberries, chocolate glaze, and milk chocolate shards. It was seriously the best chocolate cake I have ever had in my entire life! I also went back to this store a few days ago with my daughter and granddaughter. My daughter loves this chain and has been to a few other locations. She was excited that there is now one in our home town. She ordered some milk bread and a boba drink and we each got a latte. I ordered a cinnamon twist. All of the pastries are individually wrapped, which I've never seen before. I don't usually eat pastries because they are way too fattening. But the cinnamon twist was worth the extra calories - so delicious! I highly recommend this place. It is very clean and well run! Funny story about the cake - I bought this cake for our senior pastor's birthday. I honestly didn't know how old he was - if I had to guess, somewhere in his late 60's. SUPER excited that we finally have an 85* Bakery here in Oside! It's not fully opened yet but there are quite a few pastries that go out daily. My favorite isn't there yet but once they fully open, it should be. I ordered a few new-to-me items to try since my tried and true options weren't there. But the staff was super welcoming and friendly. My Jasmine sea salt tea was just as delicious as l remember from other locations. I ended up getting double charged on one pastry but it is a soft opening so l know they'll have some hiccups. Overall, thank y'all so much for being here in Oside. We are so appreciative that we finally don't have to drive up to OC, out to Temecula, or down to SD to get our fix! North County is on the map! read more

Ive been waiting for this place to open up for a while. If you know anything about Asian bakeries, you have 85C and their competition, the Paris baguette. This place takes an upper hand in my opinion with great prices and delicious pastries. They are currently open for their soft opening and I believe will be fully open starting January 2. Either way this place is busy already. I love the location right here in the Midvalley and a business like this will definitely pump the shopping center up. No longer do I need to search for milk bread as 85°C bakery has opened their doors with a 7 min drive from my house. I highly suggest that if you plan to be a regular that you download their app for perks and freebies.. I typically don't shop at places during their soft openings as inventory is low and employees are still learning the ropes but this place had a decent amount of goodies to take home and enjoy. One of my favorite bakery is finally in my neighborhood! I like almost every single item they have, one of my favorite is the coconut twist, I hope they bring back the mango coconut smoothie this summer it was the best! We do wish they had more product and it's a little weird moving around when there are other people in the same aisle. I am sure everyone is excited for this new spot and it shows! I went on Saturday afternoon and it was pretty packed. It was hard to get through the aisles and inventory was limited. I was going there to get a Gift Card but there were none, I had to ask the cashier if they sold them online and she had no clue. I searched it up later and of course they do since it is a HUGE company. Next time, I will order my drink at the kiosk and then shop so it will hopefully be a shorter wait. So excited to have a Taiwanese Bakery in Oside and not have to drive out of the way for these delicious goodies!!! Everything is baked fresh and I have yet to not like something! Their cakes are $$ but beautifully made and soooo light and yummy. The great thing about Asian dessert is that nothing is overly sweet. My favorite is their ube bread and their Taro bread. So excited about it opening up in Oceanside so we don't have to travel all the way to Mira Mesa. We walked in today at 11:15ish and were hit with a strong smell as we entered. It smelled like a dog kennel inside! I thought maybe it was from outside the entrance so we kept on browsing the selections and I just couldn't get myself to purchase anything because the smell was so bad I couldn't trust anything I bought let alone eat it. I'm so disappointed. I don't understand how the workers can't smell it so I did let one of the workers know that there's a strong odor in the store and she didn't seem to notice. I'm used to getting hit with the wonderful smells of bread and sweet pastries not dog kennel! I hope the owner sees this and fixes this because it's so off putting that we had to leave without purchasing what we were craving for. If you plan to order in person, be prepared to wait at least 20 minutes, so it's not the best option if you're in a rush.
