We came during happy hour when there was no one there yet because the main kitchen was not yet open. We spent a while at the bar just enjoying appetizers and our drinks until the kitchen opened and we quickly got our food and everything was delicious. I also used the bathroom and the toilet water was steaming... so maybe get that checked out?

This place is definitely a splurge, but the food is delicious. You're paying a bit more for the ambiance and location, but it's worth it for a special outing. The cocktails were a highlight, and the fried chicken did not disappoint. The complimentary seaweed chips were a nice touch. Staff is also incredibly helpful guiding you through the menu. Just be prepared to spend a bit more, as portions lean toward tapas-style.

Went here solo and I'm really glad I did. I sat at the bar bar and had a great time. The food was amazing, the vibes impeccable and the staff super friendly. I had the yellow tail, 888 roll and chu toro nigiri. One small point off because the chef didn't put wasabi under the fish on the nigiri. The vinyl collection is impressive and so fun that they have someone spinning them live every night. If you like sushi and cool places you have to check it out!

We did the Kiichi's Korner experience and it was totally worth it! The ambiance at this restaurant is well thought out. It's got a very modern chic lounge vibe and there's a live DJ spinning vinyl all night. The cost for the experience is $150pp and you definitely get your money's worth. We arrived at 8 and were eating until 11, with more credits left over that we just couldn't finish. After the otoshi and chef's selection, each person has $75 of credit to order anything else on the menu, which we used on more drinks and dessert. Would definitely recommend the 5pm slot to allow for more time before the kitchen closes! The server was very attentive and it was so nice to talk with chef Kiichi through the night! It's clear he loves his craft and it shows in his work. I've done omakase before but this was a lot more intimate and better paced for the slower eaters like myself! No question, I would do this again. Thanks to Chef Kiichi and the wonderful staff!!

888 is not a restaurant, it's a psychological operation. First time I walked in I thought, "Oh... I'm not rich enough to be here, but they're letting me stay." By the third visit I was fully expecting someone to wipe my ass, moisturize my hands, and whisper affirmations about my potential. They don't but the vibe suggests they could. The food is unhinged in the best way. Sushi that has no business being this seductive. Salads dressed better than me. Chicken that tastes like it was raised on generational wealth and classical music. Every plate shows up looking like it wants applause. You eat it and immediately start making irresponsible life plans. I have to space my visits out because my bank account starts sweating. Like actively shaking. This is a "once in a while until I get promoted, married rich, or commit light fraud" type of place. Still? Worth every dollar and mild financial panic. Staff is mostly immaculate. I did get one server who was dry and slightly rude but listen, I'm not here for therapy. I'm here to chew. Humans have moods. I lived. The food still changed me. Music? Loud, sexy, and disrespectful. Decor? Aggressively hot. The entire place feels like confidence, poor decisions, and a credit card with no spending limit.

First of all the ambience is such a vibe it's dimly lit. The sushi chef is right next to the Dj and there's final behind the Dj the art and the decor is so fire. Sat at the bar. Got the salmon Love roll and the crunchy tuna roll with the crispy rice and the Nori chips. BEST FOOD IVE HAD IN NASHVILLE. Jocie (our server) is amazing. Will 5ever give them my business anytime i eat out. Wow. No brainer, a MUST if you are considering.

Overall: A great higher end restaurant that has such a cool vinyl concept. The spicy tuna sushi was pretty solid and props to the ube espresso martini! Chicken kaarage was alright for me, but my friend loved it. We chose this for a girls' night out and it did not disappoint. Service: Our server and host were super kind and knowledgeable about the menu / recommendations. Ambiance: So pretty inside and got lots of great photo ops :)

I took my fiancé here for his birthday. The album feature of the night was "The Internet". This is a very busy vibrant place, which made it very hard to enjoy the music and hear it. The vibes were amazing though. My espresso martini was sooo good and strong! Overall I give the food 5 out of 10. Nothing to rave about. I won't come back for dinner again, but I can definitely see myself stopping by for happy hour. Also, parking is validated if you park at the JW Marriott, which was very convenient.

This is it. Speakeasy meets sushi house. A "must visit" for anyone in Nashville looking for an effortlessly chic spot with coastal fresh sushi and elevated cocktails. Friendly service and focused menu. Highly recommend the 888 roll.

Sushi and vinyl? Yes, please. The staff was attentive from start to finish. The dj took requests (checkout their playlist on their website beforehand). The music was never too loud and we sat near the speaker. The sushi was great!

I stopped by after work with some coworkers, and I'm so happy I found this place! The food is delicious! and the drinks are well made! A perfect balance! Food that was ordered: Chicken karaage : 9/10 Okonomiyaki : 10/10 Edamame :10/10 Donabe Fried Rice : 10/10 Drinks: Matcha Mezal Sour : 10000/10 totally recommend !

If I could give 10 stars, I absolutely would--888 Sushi Bar is one of the very best in Nashville! The food was unforgettable. The tempura asparagus was outstanding--perfectly crispy, incredibly delicious, and full of flavor with every bite. The jalapeño salmon roll was also amazing--fresh, flavorful, and simply perfect. Honestly, these two are a must-try if you're ever in town! A little tip: the restaurant is a bit tricky to find--it's tucked on the corner of 8th and Clark. You can valet at the JW Marriott, and the restaurant will validate your parking (up to 4 hours), which makes it super convenient. The vibe is intimate and upscale, so definitely dress up a little and make reservations ahead of time. Service was also outstanding--my server, Babs, went above and beyond and made the night extra special. To top it all off, I was treated to a complimentary dessert--emoji ice cream in birthday cake flavor--which was just perfect! I paired it with a cup of green tea that was smooth and delicious. From start to finish, everything was truly outstanding. If you're looking for a top-notch sushi experience in Nashville, this is the place.

My wife Sam and I went to 888 for my birthday and we both really liked it. The place has a great vibe with stylish décor, a super cool vinyl wall, and a DJ spinning vinyl records. We sat at the sushi bar, which I loved because it felt like we were right in the action but the regular bar and booths looked just as inviting. The staff was incredibly friendly. The cocktails were fantastic. Sam had the "Cheet Code," and I had the Matcha Mezcal Sour. The mezcal flavor really stood out, not so much the matcha, but it was still delicious. For appetizers, the yellowtail and jalapeño dish was hands down our favorite, I want to drink that sauce. So fresh and flavorful. The wagyu skewers and chicken skewers were good but skippable next time. I'd rather try their cucumbers or another veggie dish. We shared the whole branzino and it was beautifully cooked, perfectly seasoned, and served with a flavorful aioli. We also tried the hot salmon sushi, which was excellent. And the birthday mochi was a delicious touch at the end, thanks y'all. Overall, 888 is a really cool spot that I'd definitely recommend to anyone visiting Nashville who wants an elevated and interesting sushi experience - loved the vibe.
