Honestly, they were lucky I left a tip at all. Very disappointing experience, especially considering this was only my second visit. I will not be coming back.

If you're craving super fresh poke, 8 OZ Poke is the spot! Every time I come here, the fish tastes like it was just caught -- super tender, flavorful, and always top quality. I got a bowl with spicy tuna, fresh tuna, seaweed salad, crab mix, avocado, and rice, and it was absolute perfection. The portions are generous, and they don't skimp on the toppings. I also love that they sprinkle sesame seeds on top, adding that extra little crunch and flavor. Our server even went above and beyond by asking if I wanted my toppings and protein mixed for me -- which is always tricky since I end up spilling it when I try to do it myself. She mixed everything perfectly, making it so much easier and extra delicious. You can really tell they care about the ingredients and the presentation. If you like a more traditional, fish-forward roll, they've got it. If you're craving a more creative roll, they've got that too. At other spots, I'm not much of a rolls person, but the CBS roll here is divine. The hand roll combo is so good; I usually start there and then grab a few other items if I'm still hungry. I recommend checking their specials board, as there's usually a star item waiting to be tasted! The food is enough of a draw, but I would be remiss not the mention the incredible people that work at Studio Sushi. Every single person in the Studio Sushi family is lovely and you can tell they take pride in making your meal memorable. I've spent birthdays here, taken out of towners here... it's always a hit. Go to Studio Sushi, and tell a friend or two... please just make sure there's one spot left at the sushi bar for me.

I…read moreactually love this place, the food and service is great but the use of robots for delivery is unacceptable. I had sushi delivered and it came by way of robot and with no cooling inside robot box. Eeeooww. I know what you're thinking, it's not their fault. Yes it is. They can easily got to robotdelivery@uber.com and opt out. Putting delivery drivers, ya know people trying to make a buck, out of work is bad enough, but to have raw food delivered painstakingly slow by a robot is a horrible idea. Do you know how many times I've been on Ventura Blvd at Laurel Tavern and you see people stopping those robots on the sidewalk. Messing with them, walking in front of them, taking selfies with them. Sorry, but I can't recommend Studio Sushi to anyone who wants delivery and for that reason 2 stars. Ditch the robot and I will update this review with five stars it deserves. It's tough love and tough $hit.
