I will say that when you venture outside of the more popular neighborhoods that carry boba/bubble tea, milk tea, matcha, etc. (specifically Midtown Sacramento, South Sacramento, & Elk Grove), it can be quite challenging to find a decent independent business that specializes in this for people that live and work in the area. This is where you'll find "Dream Tea" in the Rosemont neighborhood in Sacramento. Located in a small strip mall directly off of Bradshaw Rd and tucked in between Old Placerville Rd and Goethe Rd, this place has been serving up delicious beverages dating back to early-2024. Since then, they have been offering a ton of options on their menu including milk teas, fruit teas, coffees, matcha drinks, smoothies, and slushies. The combinations are quite endless as you can customize the level of sweetness in your drink if you choose in watching your sugar levels. They even offer quite a few snacks that include egg rolls, popcorn chicken, potstickers, and much more. The interior layout is very well-lit, inviting, and cheerful with bright neon lights in various areas, a sleek backsplash that adds to the upscale look, a comfy white loveseat for relaxing, and a few small tables just in case you choose to stay for your visit. There are two very easy to read digital menu boards and a very cool white marbled flooring. Much of the music that was playing included quite a bit of trendy Gen-Z tunes; top 40, hip-hop, EDM, and pop music. And just a heads up, they do not offer public restrooms nor do they offer any outdoor seating. I chose to order mine when I arrived as I like to ask their opinion for what recommendations are the more popular. Since I was enjoying my weekend (on Saturday 5/16/2026 at around 3:15pm), I was craving a sweet beverage to elevate my day. I finally settled with their "Caramel Matcha Milk Tea" (priced at a reasonable $6.50). I opted for only 25% sweetness as I didn't want to go too overboard on my sugar intake. Within 5 minutes, my drink was ready and provided with a very cool plastic cup with their business name on it and a sealed film on top to prevent any leakage. As for the overall taste and consistency, I thoroughly enjoyed the hybrid blend of matcha, tea, and caramel all infused in the milk. With as extensive as their menu options are, this is the type of place where you can go to every day for several months and still not get through their entire lineup. My coworker and I stopped in today for a sweet treat for lunch and we both ate basic with our boba. We both got the Brown Sugar Milk Tea. The gentleman who helped us was very kind. He repeated our orders back to us and made sure he got it all correctly. The place is well lit and very cute. They had some kids handmade artwork on the wall, which I thought was adorable. I got mine with Almond Milk (they also have Oat Milk). As someone who's allergic to cows milk, I do appreciate places that have alternative options! I also went with 25% sweetness. Came to Dream Tea for a pick-me-up with a friend after grocery shopping. Dream Tea seems to be named after Kirby's Dream Land due to all the Kirby paraphernalia strewn around the little shop. So super cute, and I wish I could collect all the different colored Kirbys they had lol. The inside is naturally brightly lit, and has a small seated area with a claw machine for fun. The menu is quite extensive and both my friend and I were intrigued by the butterfly pea tea series they had. The girl who worked on our drinks and took our order was helpful in explaining that this type of tea was non-caffeinated. It was my first time checking out this place a couple of weeks ago while I was in Rancho. The place had nice ambiance- bright, clean and colorful. The quality of their drinks was also not bad; I enjoyed to soft fresh-tasting boba! I got the Thai milk tea for $5.50 and the boba was an additional .50. Me: I'll have a brown sugar milk tea 50% sweetness with egg pudding. Cashier lady: Oookay..... .....Is that too much of a specific order? :X Didn't seem like she knew how to make the drink 50% sweet because it was still very sweet, so much that there was a dense pool of brown syrup concentrate at the bottom of the cup. I also tried other things, like the Vietnamese coffee. Pretty decent Vietnamese coffee! Not the boldest Vietnamese coffee taste but still gets the job done (it woke me up for sure). Popcorn chicken is American style (like mini McDonalds or Tyson chicken nuggets w/ no five spice flavor); not what I expected but still complements well with the drinks. Chicken wings are crispy but have little meat to them. One major critique is that the staff announces orders too quietly. I had to get the attention of a staff member to double check if the food/drinks on the counter were mine (none of them were sticker-labeled). I'm lenient when it comes to new spots so I'll give a 4 star rating. Wouldn't say that it's a must-try but if you're close by here I'd say it's worth the stop. read more

We came by on a Monday afternoon and there were a few other customers. It's a pretty small place, just some bar seating and a couch, so plan on taking your drinks to go. Their cloud drinks are super cute with marshmallow clouds piped on the sides of the cup, but I wasn't feeling like a smoothie so I went for the peach guava tea and added the cheese cream on top. It was very refreshing but definitely on the sweeter side. If there is a way to adjust sweetness I'd definitely do that when coming here! Next time I'd like to try their milk teas to get a sense of the actual tea flavors. I saw someone order a strawberry matcha and both flavors looked pretty faded out, and you could tell the matcha was not great quality based off the color, so I'm not sure I'd order a matcha drink but I would try the actual milk teas instead! I was on my way home from a sporting event with my dog and it was quite the warm afternoon for mid-March. I figured, what better way to quench my thirst than a drink from a boba shop? I looked up boba spots from the Rosemont to Rancho Cordova area, and honestly there aren't many in that side of Sacramento. However, I came across Dream Tea and decided to try it out. Dream Tea is located in a quiet strip mall by a Dollar Tree off Bradshaw and Old Placerville Rd. When I walked in, it was quiet and modern, with fun neon lights decorating the interior. The menu items are displayed on TV screens, and I decided to get their butterfly pea flower passionfruit tea. I always opt for light ice and either 25% or 50% sweet when I order boba, and for this drink I asked for 50% sweet and light ice, which they were able to accommodate. It didn't take long for my drink to be made, and I'm glad I was able to order first, as a group of people came in right after me. This drink comes in one size, and is honestly a really good size considering how thirsty I was (water just wasn't cutting it for me that day). As another review mentioned, it is a large cup and only one size, so if you're getting another drink that isn't just fruit tea, such as milk tea, it will be quite a large drink, but personally it was the perfect size for me. The passionfruit tea was the optimal amount of fruity and sweet, especially after I mixed in the butterfly pea flower portion of the drink. I personally would have liked more passionfruit seeds as I enjoy the texture, but that's just me being picky. I didn't get boba in my drink this time as didn't feel like it, but I would like to try their other teas next time and add boba. Overall, I'm happy that there is a boba shop in the Rosemont area, and will be back. read more

My son ordered the strawberry lava and I ordered the brown sugar milk tea, 30% sweetness (based on other reviews). I didn't want my drink to be too sweet but 30% is lower than my desired sweetness so I'll shoot for 50% next time. The options are abundant and the prices are perfect. Drinks 4/5 I just wanted to note that this is probably not going to be an accurate score for the rest of their drinks hence the overall score of 5/5. I'm on a diet so I asked for a plain oolong milk tea with 0% sweetness, the ladies were super accommodating. The milk tea came out about as expected and was pretty good, I do wish the tea was like 20% stronger as the milk did overpower the tea flavor. I added vanilla monfkruit on my own after and this brought the drink up a notch.
