A very good grilled bacon cheese burger

First time stepping in here in a few years. Saw them on Sweet Deals and picked up a voucher. Few locals hanging at the bar, few tables having dinner were in there on a early evening mid week in the summer. Bartender was new and had no experience, learning as she went along, owner was the cook in the back who came out to assist a few times and a Russian server were the staff. Signs posted saying best food and seafood on Cape Cod(usually to overcompensate for something when you see signs like that from the business itself), a website that doesn't come close to resembling the establishment it self. But it's a local dive, it has keno and karaoke three nights a week. Karaoke seems to be what brings the crowd in. Broken jukebox and not the most comfortable bar stools. Pretty good beer selection, granted they were out of a good few which was advertised. Menu is small but offers a decent selection for pub food and seafood. Chicken wings were brutal, frozen breaded, but they do make a good burger. I was impressed with that. I see the image and type of establishment it wants to be, but it's not quiet there. Owner seems like a great guy though and it's a nice little spot to relax in. They also could use some bigger tvs, sitting at the bar you have to squint to watch one of the tvs from a distance. Kind of a turn off, but it is what it is. Walk in with moderate expectations, and you won't be disappointed. .

That's a burger bun soaked in dirt from the grill. Ugh.

Just re-read the address to make sure I went to the place so many people raved about. I've beenYelping for quite some time and rarely does Yelp fail me. I guess I was due. If we were not pressed for time I would have left 2 minutes into this experience. The interior of this place was just depressing and the carpet smelled bad. We ordered two burgers and checked in on Yelp in order to get a free basket of onion rings and thank goodness we did. They were the best part of the meal! The burgers arrived glistening on grill dirt and oil. Not joking. The taste of a dirty grill is unmistakable. See photo. I'm appalled that we were charged $11.99 and $12.99 for two dirty burgers. Ugh. Best part of this place was the waitress.

Fried clams, fries, coleslaw & a beer !

The seafood is top notch! Service/waitstaff are top notch! The owner is top notch! Lisa, the Bartender, is the best. Pat is great. The onion rings are the bomb! Best fried clams ( from Ipswich, Mass ) in the area. One of my favorite places to go! Last ate there on Friday night, August 21, 2015. We got the prime rib, and the salmon. We shared and made a surf/turf meal. Prime rib was great, cooked just right, and the Salmon was slammin good! Cooked to perfection. Best I have ever had. I have been there to eat on several occasions, always has been great.

Overall everything was great. Texas Burger was juicy and flavorful. Take advantage of the yelp deals. Great wait staff!

    Cozy.

I will come back here for sure for the outstanding combination of flavors. My boyfriend had delicious the meatloaf sandwich. The staff was extra friendly. Highly recommended!

Our server was pleasant enough and the small restaurant was cute. Bar, hightop, booth and table seating are available. I ordered the fish and chips while my wife ordered the fish tacos with sweet potato fries. The fish tacos were very good but had too much cilantro but the taste was very fresh. My fish and chips was excellent. The fish was cooked perfectly, flaky and still glistening. The batter was crispy and was thicker than tempura but thinner than beer batter. The only issue was a fairly small portion size. My wife had the same amount of fish on her tacos. We did have dessert, which was unusual for us. My pecan pie was extremely well done and had a wonderful flavor. Only way to make it better would be to serve it cold, not room temperature...but that's just personal preference. My wife got the tapioca pudding, which was a little less successfully prepared. The texture wasn't bad, it was served cold but had to option to be heated and the serving size was good. It just didn'tdidnt have much flavor...tasted more like a custard, but it was even bland for that. Over all? Very positive experience and we will be back
