911 Appliance was the company chosen by my home warranty company to fix my oven (the door wasn't closing and a gasket needed to be replaced). The technician came to diagnose the issue and we were told the parts would be ordered. After the parts arrived I called to schedule the appointment for them to come fix the oven, and I verified it was to install the new parts. When the technician called to say he was on his way he said it was to diagnose the issue, and the parts hadn't come in... Eventually he came back and said he fixed the issues. Three months later, I just had to file another home warranty claim because the door is not closing again. The technician from the new company I called said the hinges were NOT replaced, which is the only way the problem can be solved. 911 Appliance repair is extremely difficult to get ahold of and clearly they don't give 100% on their jobs. I will never use them again and if your home warranty company assigns them to fix your appliances, I'd strongly recommend finding a different company. read more

Best service!!! My dishwasher wasn't draining all the way so I ran to yelp and found this business. They scheduled me an appointment with a typical 2 hour window for ghe next day. Abraham showed up 15 minutes after their courtesy call and was incredibly friendly. Quick and efficient, he diagnosed and serviced the dishwasher in about 20 minutes. If you have any appliance issues give these guys a call. It's a $40 service call if they don't perform any repairs and if they do, the minimum is $65, which I feel like is completely the norm. Had a great experience with this company. Called in the morning, and got an appointment time for that same day. Requested for them to call me half hour out since I was at work and would leave to meet them at my house, and they did. The techs Jesse and Anthony were straight forward and honest about the repairs that my refrigerator needed, and they answered all my questions in helping me make the best decision possible. We decided not to make the repairs since we have a new fridge in storage, but they still gave us the quote and the money paid for the visit for up to six months if we change our minds. The first technician, Jesse, installed a freezer gasket incorrectly so a new one had to be reordered. The second visit about 10 days later, Jesse along with his boss, Abraham, finally arrived after first going to the wrong city. I recently hit a home run with a handyman (found on yelp) and have the best auto mechanic - so as a single gal without mechanical know-how, I feel blessed to have selected 911 Appliance to complete my trifecta of repair awesomeness. I was scheduled for a service call quickly (no one likes laundry piling up) and their service call charge was reasonable. Abraham, the supremely knowledgeable technician arrived on time and was quite patient and kind considering I gave him my work address instead of my home address. He assessed the situation quickly and gave me options so that I could make the washing machine repair cost effective considering I had purchased the unit used and apparently defective. The machine used to screech like a jet engine during the spin cycle and I was getting embarrassed apologizing to neighbors every time I did laundry - it is now a joy to run the thing with it being so quiet. I have faith that I'll get quite a few more years out of it and it will have been money well spent in purchasing the damaged unit and now having it in top shape. read more

These guys are simply exceptional!!! I bought a Frigidaire refrigerator from Lowe's. Just over a year after the fridge stopped working displaying error messages in the front panel. The guys at 911 Appliance came the same day, calling just before arriving. They fixed the issue by replacing the entire circuit board. Months later the fridge kept on giving us trouble. They came back and replaced the board one more time at no charge. They came on a Saturday as promised and got it working again. Our tech gave us his cell number in case something went wrong. I needed a tech fast. Had a leaking refrigerator and I live upstairs and was leaving for a week. I didn't want to come home to a flood and a pissed downstairs neighbor. First guy on yelp couldn't come out for 2 weeks even tho I had the part I had overnighted from a website. 911 appliance sent someone out the next day. Jesse shows up on time and did a great job. 911 appliance said they don't work on Samsung but since I had the part they could make it happen. Jesse took less than an hour and only charged me 65$. I told him the phone quotes from others who couldn't make it out soon enough were starting at $90 and up to $135. He said since 911 Appliance doesn't service Samsung he would only charge me $65 since it was a training opportunity for him. I was like whatever here is $70. I was so happy. We tested it out and I showed him on the web where I purchased and he show me the $56 dollar bigger part the I could install myself that would of also fixed the problem. 911 Appliance is the real deal. BEWARE!!!! No way would i ever consider this company again. I called to have an appliance looked at and they told me there is a fee to diagnose the problem. But it's waived if you have them do the work. Rude repair guy with no manners at all, clearly uneducated, asked to come a few hours early. I told him ok but i wont be home and my house keeper will let him in. He looks at the unit, calls me and tells me that the drum is not spinning. DUH!! He cant diagnosis it because it's stacked. He tells me he can come back the next day with a additional guy to help him, Great! But he needs to be paid for today? What? He did no diagnosis and expects to get paid. My refrigerator died and sat for a few days before I decided what to do about it! The freezer appeared to be working fine. I checked Yelp and found 911 Appliance. These guys are great! I made an appointment online in the morning, got a call back in an hour setting the time, Anthony and (sorry didn't get his name) knocked on the door 45 minutes early! He walked to the fridge, opened the freezer and said...this is a frost-free machine, see all that ice in the back? He explained what that meant ($235 minimum to repair, unless the compressor was going bad). He also explained that a compressor replacement would total at least $600! I told him I should probably just try to buy a used machine, he recommened 2 brands because they are easy and inexpensive to repair (just in case). He also expained that I probably have about a week until the freezer shuts down. I paid the $39 house call gladly (forgot about the $15 coupon on their website), it was worth every penny to have all that information from two such nice people. If any of my appliances need work I will defintely call 911 Appliance. I RECOMMEND THEM and would give them 6 stars if it was possible! read more

I called this company this morning to check out my Maytag gas stove, The oven was sounding like the oven kept relighting, ( like a poofing sound) especially while it was auto pre heating. I called them around 9am and they gave me a window of time from 12pm - 2pm, same day, the guy arrived around 1pm. So far, so good. He was pleasant and seemed very knowledgeable of the symptoms of the oven I was explaining, he diagnosed it quickly, it was the igniter of the oven, it was wearing out. (This was also a reason why the oven would delay in heating up, at least 50 - 60 seconds to even start up). They seem to only last 3 - 4 years, depending on use, He did have one with him. I then asked about a stove top burner and how it was acting funny, one stream of the flame was much longer and bigger than the rest of the flame. He said the burner was rusting out and should be replaced. He had that part with him also. He gave me the estimate, and honored the total when he was done. The house call is free with any appliance repair. They also have a $15.00 dollar appliance repair coupon at their web site. They have a 1 year warranty and a low price guarantee. This year (2012) we had techs from 911 Appliance out twice. Once was for dishwasher that wasn't drying. They ended up remving and reinstalling a part I had replaced. Somehow that did the trick and was only charged $40. Another time fridge wasn't getting called. They had to recharge freon for $180, but gave me $30 discount cause we had earlier work done on fridge. Good service, very reasonable charges. If there weren't companies like 911 Appliance most people would end up tossing good appliances in junkyard. read more
