It is day one for Maplewood Public house and it seems like they've been here for months. The staff is attentive, the beers are plentiful, and the food service has been quick. I'm looking forward to a warmer day where I can sit outside. I'm about for now, sitting inside seems like part of the family.

Great food and service. Especially liked the chicken and dumplings. Can't wait to go back. Everything we had was delicious.

Their beer has that tang you'd expect from a sour ale without the molar-wrenching pain that makes drinking more than a few ounces difficult. They nail the flavor and it's always clean and smooth. Some of the best wild ales made. Their taproom is small, but really nice inside with seating at the bar and around the taproom that is more geared towards small parties. They have their full menu on draft and bottled bears available with a few guest beers. I think it's Sunday that they have discounts on their bottled beers and it's a great opportunity to take advantage of!

If this is not your style, then you will likely not enjoy it. My boyfriend was one of those people. I however enjoyed 4 out of the 6 we tried. 3. Price. For my flight with tip I paid about $25. 4. Staff we encountered was great. 5. Hours. I looked them up in the past but could never tell if they were open or not. Give them a try if you are in downtown Lombard and they are open!

They have a small private parking lot but there is also plenty of easy street parking out front.   The big place wasn't particularly busy until close to 7pm trivial game time.  Overall, I'll go with 4.50 rounded up to 5 stars particularly for their nice $5 per pint Thursday promo.

The beers were excellent, and the food looked and smelled so good that we vowed to come back! We've been back twice now and loved it each time! You can't go wrong with their beers! Their flagships are solid and they always have a healthy number of experimental brews. Best of all the worlds! This time we both got IPAS and loved them all: Trail Trip, West Coast Pixel, and Swells! Trail Trip was my favorite because I prefer non-hazy. For dinner I got the double-dipped fried chicken sandwich with a side of fries. YUM! Bursting with flavor and deliciousness! The spicy gochujang sauce is divine! And super filling! My husband did the OG Burger, Fries, and 10 oz beer for $15 Monday/Tuesday deal. He loved the food, drink, and the deal! The space is so clean, open, and inviting. The front dinning area is spacious enough with plenty of seating and the bar, but there is also a fantastic outdoor space. The servers will all friendly, helpful, and professional. Things can move a little slowly, but it is worth the wait! On busy weekend nights, they do have online reservations, so that can be a good way to secure a spot! Next time we are in Elmhurst, we will definitely be back. We love Phase 3!

On this coldish Wednesday winter evening, it wasn't as busy and boisterous as our previous visits, and that was just fine for our usual catchup party of 3.  Sam was our fine and attentive server and she adequately took care of the whole dining room on this night. Arriving at 5:30pm, we took advantage of Happy Hour and had 6 beers by 6pm for $5 each.  We also had a cheese curds appetizer for $10 (discounted from regular $12). I had my usual 3 beers for our catchup session, namely: - Moreover hazy IPA, 6.5% ABV - Mango Double Marbles Imperial IPA, 8.0% ABV - Appetizer hazy IPA, 5.5% ABV For food, I had their chicken tikka masala platter for $22.  My colleagues had a high steak sandwich with salad ($20), and an Italian Beef with fries ($18).  All were delicious.  There is now a 3% credit card fee.  Overall, still one of the best Chicagoland brewpubs around.

The on-site parking lot is quite small, but other business lots and street parking is available nearby, especially during events. I tried a sample of their light pilsner and purchased a 12 ounce prickly pear sour. It had a unique flavor to it and wasn't too tart or sour, as I find some to be. I would like to return and try the cranberry sour and German, dry pilsner. Perhaps after "Dry January!" (Hello Mocktails). I did not order any food but I do plan to return and would like to try some of their menu items. I enjoyed sitting at the bar with others and our server was delightful. I have also had their wheat beers which are tasty. Inside the brewery there is a cozy feel and the singing cook in the kitchen was fun to listen to, as he had a nice voice. Check out their fun fan merch for sale too. Happy "Brew Year" all!
