Two young girls were repeatedly running in and out of the restrooms, slamming the doors, yelling, and disturbing other customers nearby. A staff member asked that the behavior stop. Instead of acknowledging the issue and correcting them herself, MaryBeth took exception to the correction and doubled down. I stayed long enough to see how it played out. Despite what she implies, no one was cited or charged with anything. The police responded, made it clear they were uninterested in the situation, and everyone went on with their day. People can certainly have different opinions about how the situation should have been handled, but this review does not accurately reflect what I witnessed. Most parents either wouldn't allow their children to behave that way in the first place or would simply correct them and move on. Writing a review that misrepresents what happened is another matter entirely.

A good brewery will always have yummy food too and right here I must say they totally are doing that with their burgers if then we went with the bacon and guacamole burger and it was just what it should be cooker perfect and full of flavor with each bite of our burger goodness. The bartenders here were friendly and fast to serve everyone on a busy night which I can tell this place gets busy on the weekends as we were here early on a Friday and it was already getting packed. Overall this is a great local brewery with good food and beers it's the type of place I would frequent if I lived in the area!

The burnt ends were also good and came served over a bed of French fries, making for a hearty appetizer. The cheese curds were just okay and didn't really stand out. For dinner, I had the steak, which was just okay and didn't really impress me. We also tried the cheesesteak with jalapeños. It had good flavor, but was a little dry. The burger was good overall, although it was a bit on the salty side. The craft beers were good and definitely added to the experience. Service was also good, although the restaurant seemed particularly busy, possibly because of a large party upstairs. Overall, 93 Octane is a decent spot with some good food and drinks. The onion rings and burnt ends were probably the highlights for me, while some of the main dishes were just average.

I may give 93 Octane another shot, but I'd need a lunch special or something to bring the price more in line with the quality.

I was pleasantly surprised at how well the space was converted to accommodate a non- music event (including sofas upfront - which I enjoyed thoroughly). Our server was kind and attentive before, during and after the show and her presence didn't distract from the show either. I was easily able to enjoy my beer while laughing through the sets. My friends were able to enjoy some beers and canned cocktails as well. We all were impressed with the combination of sold out event and service. I would recommend coming by here on any night - especially one with live entertainment.

Pollyanna is one of the top attractions in downtown St. Charles along the Fox River. Has the brewery as well as a patio that's nice when it's warm enough. They also have a distillery for those who are getting the hard stuff. Best thing about this place is of course the beer, but it also has a chill atmosphere. It's located in the middle of downtown in a plaza. There's a patio in front that will be packed in warm weather. For this particular trip we sat inside. The inside is actually pretty big, and has the bar area as well as an area with quite a few tables. It's about $7 a pint. There was a pretty good variety. I got the Sweater Paws. It's a blonde ale that's on the lighter side. This beer has notes of coffee and vanilla. As for the food, not much else besides $1 or so bags of chips but you can bring stuff in. Has Colleen's Breadsticks for $6 a bag which are local. There's several restaurants next to here that will deliver an order. Has a pretty fun atmosphere and most important has good beers to choose. It also has cans to go. The brewery also hosts some food trucks.

They have close to two dozen beers, seltzers, etc. and out of the 10 we had, they were all pretty darn good. The maibock was our favorite! Happy New Year 2026! My first review of this year. Cheers!…read more Church Street is a spacious, but intimate feeling brewery with a relaxed vibe, tucked away in an Industrial area of Itasca. The on-site parking lot is quite small, but other business lots and street parking is available nearby, especially during events. I tried a sample of their light pilsner and purchased a 12 ounce prickly pear sour. It had a unique flavor to it and wasn't too tart or sour, as I find some to be. I would like to return and try the cranberry sour and German, dry pilsner. Perhaps after "Dry January!" (Hello Mocktails). I did not order any food but I do plan to return and would like to try some of their menu items. I enjoyed sitting at the bar with others and our server was delightful. I have also had their wheat beers which are tasty. Inside the brewery there is a cozy feel and the singing cook in the kitchen was fun to listen to, as he had a nice voice. Just a month ago, Maplewood Public House opened after taking over the space formerly occupied by…read morebrewpub Two Hound Red.  I've now seen both businesses, and wow, Maplewood really draws them in here.  For one, Maplewood is a great brewer and one of those brands for which I can say I enjoy every single beer I have tried of theirs.  Their signature beer is their Son of Juice IPA and it's one of my favorites. MPH occupies a big space, has a patio facing their small parking lot, and also open windows in the front which makes the front table area pretty much a patio as well in good weather like we had on this night.  Our party of 3 arrived at 5:30pm on a Wednesday and the patio was already 100% full and the big space inside was about 60% full.  If you don't find a parking spot in their small adjacent lot, and that is likely, free street parking is readily available out front or nearby.  By about 7pm, the place was totally filled.  It can get loud inside also but with the front windows removed it wasn't all that bad, but if they are closed, expect LOUD and boisterous lol if they're busy. As far as food and drink, they have a ton of great brew offerings as well as tip-top great brewpub grub.  Our server was Zoey, and she was friendly, attentive, and competent.  We shared a nice beer battered cheese curd appetizer ($14).  I then had my usual 3 beers and a burger.  I had their juicy black and bleu burger with fries ($22) and both of my colleagues had their smashburger with fries ($19).  I had the following 3 beers, and they were all yummy and delicious: - Peanut Butter Fat Pug Nitro, 5.6% ABV, $7 - Juice Jorts Hazy IPA, 6.0% ABV, $8 - Cuz of Juice West Coast IPA, 6.5% ABV, $8 My colleagues also had 3 brews apiece and amongst them were - Pulaski Pils pilsner, Lounge Lager, Sidewalk Surfer DIPA, Brewer's Handshake (pint of Pulaski Pils with a 1.5 oz shot of Fernet Liquor), and a sampler of a Pulaski Radler (pilsner with blood orange soda). Prices are starting to get elevated, like $22 for a burger, oh well.  The same with beers.  Our outing cost each of us $62 all in, and that's about twice what we used to start at for our brewpub outings a few short years ago lol.  Anyway, it was a delightful catchup session in a chill brewpub and it was worth it, and I look forward to returning.  The flagship Maplewood brewpub in Chicago Logan Square has been on my bookmark list for a long time, but with this actually more convenient location, I guess I can remove it now!

We were very happy with the pimento cheese dip, delicious and not as heavy as so many others, but as pescatarians could have chosen from half a dozen things to split. I will echo what a few others have said, namely some of the prices. Yes, some of the prices are pretty high for a brewery - I'm not sure a loaded smash burger should be $28, and most of the sandwiches start at $20. I know the area is pretty affluent, and the downtown area has grown so much in the past 5-10 years, but I could this turning some people away. The service was super friendly, from the hosts to the servers. We had a small mistake or two with a drink order, but overall no complaints. And yes, it is pretty loud in there. Also, it's a brewery. So, I'm not entirely sure what the complaint there is. Could they do some sound deadening? Sure, but it's still a good space with the option of a great patio and a semi-closed off front room. Not sure when I'll be back in Glen Ellyn, but this would absolutely be a stop when I am.

They do not have a host, so customers basically just go up to the patio and sit wherever they want, which is nice only if the restaurant can handle that. No one was cleaning the tables after customers left. I watched about 4 groups of people sit down at dirty tables, and they sat there for like 15-20 minutes with no acknowledgement and no one coming to clean the dirty tables from the previous customers. They had to get up and ask someone themselves for the table to be cleaned. There were maybe 2 or 3 waiters and maybe 2 or 3 food runners, and it still seemed like they were all overwhelmed. I don't think it should have been as complicated. Not sure who even was our waiter because they kept switching. One runner kept bringing food and drinks to wrong tables, and claimed she was confused because they changed up the patio seating so maybe that had something to do with it.

On July 26, 2026, my wife called the restaurant specifically to ask if their patio was dog friendly because we planned to bring our small dog. She was told that it was. Based on that information, we drove 31 minutes to the brewery looking forward to trying several of their beers. When we arrived, the employee informed us that only service animals were permitted on the patio. I explained that my wife had called ahead and spoken with a male employee who told us dogs were allowed. The employee admitted he was the person who answered the phone, but first claimed my wife never mentioned bringing a dog. I was present during the call and know that she specifically asked about bringing our dog. He then changed his explanation and said he "must not have understood." I found that explanation difficult to believe. I then informed him that our dog is a service dog. Instead of asking the questions permitted under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), he repeatedly asked to see the dog's credentials. Under ADA guidance, businesses generally may not require documentation or certification for a service animal. Even after I explained this, he continued asking for credentials. To make matters worse, this all occurred around dinner time when the restaurant and patio were completely empty--we were the only customers there. The entire experience left me feeling unwelcome and frustrated. Whether this was the result of poor employee training or company policy, the staff handled the situation in a way that reflected poorly on the business. I drove over half an hour to visit a brewery I was genuinely excited to experience, only to leave without ever being served. I'm an avid craft beer enthusiast who travels around the country reviewing breweries and sharing my experiences. It's unfortunate because Hopvine had several beers I was looking forward to trying and reviewing. Instead, my only takeaway from this visit was a very disappointing customer service experience. I hope Hopvine provides better training to its staff on both communicating accurate information to customers and understanding the ADA's requirements regarding service animals.If you're posting this publicly, you may also want to attach any evidence you have (such as a call log showing the timing of the call) and keep the review focused on your firsthand experience, as that tends to make reviews more credible. Until then I would avoid this brewery at all cost until they can update their pet policy and provide better customer service.

I looked at their menu online to see what they had offered and I was blown away to see that they had a Cider on tap so I was immediately sold. Snack wise I did try some of their chips but then one of my friends gave me an extra spoon to try out their soup and it was by far one of the best soups I've had such a long. I got more friends that stay in the area too and I'm recommending them try to place out when you get a chance. Everything inside of the establishment came from Ireland itself! The staff here is absolutely friendly and I love the restrooms here too. The vibe here is also very incredible I love that it feels small and it feels inclusive. They have an outdoor area as well. They can accommodate for other dietary restrictions too which is pretty impressive! Overall, definitely give this place a shot it will exceed your expectations!

Good beer, good vibes!…read more I am happy to see Tayto potato chips here, simple joys! I had it in Belfast Northern Ireland and been wanting some. Paired it with Guinness, of course! Happy camper. We went on a Thursday night and there was a group of Irish musicians playing some irish music, so nice! The bartenders are very nice to customers. The only thing I am concern is parking. It's not enough. It gets challenging.
