This is my absolute favorite place for Thai food! Service is always friendly and prompt, food is always delicious. I frequent this spot for dinner with friends and also for takeout! I highly recommend the Yellow Curry, I get it with shrimp but it's great with any protein. Pad Thai is also some of the best I've had anywhere. Wow! So impressed with this place. First the decor is breath taking and captivating. It so inviting and calm. I ordered Chicken Pad Thai and Thai Chicken Wings to go. I waited at the bar for my food and the waiters, waitresses and hostess was very attentive to keeping me updated on my food, I think they all 3 checked on my food at some point - it took a little time because of the chicken wings. They also Offered me a beverage while I waited. I ordered a water. This is probably the best Pad Thai and Thai Wings ive ever ate. This will be my new "go to" Thai Restaurant. read more

This is one of my favorite places to dine in after work. They have the most beautiful, creative, and exotic interior that I've ever seen in North Carolina. I love the fast and attentive service and also how the food is being presented from beginning until the end. My favorite dish is the yum chicken because it is soooo authentic and cooked to perfection. However, I do have one exception (food that I don't recommend), which is the pho. I do not recommend the pho here because it is not authentic or even close to it. However, I still give this place 5 stars because it is still superb! read more

Wonderful food and great service! I had the cashew chicken. Rarely do I actually finish a meal at a Chinese restaurant but this was fabulous. My hubby has the pho which I normally don't like but I loved it too. My son ordered the crying tiger steak. He thought it was the best food he has had in a long time. The hour towels after the meal were a wonderful and much needed treat as well. I know where I'll be the next time I want Chinese sit down. Yum. read more

Walked in to the Resturant and was pleasantly impressed by the decor and atmosphere of the place. Food was great. Loved the Tom yum soup, chicken wings calamari and the rolls.very fresh!!!!! For the main course we had the steak fish and chicken fried rice. Excellent. We were served by a waiter name law- great server. Also price was very reasonable approx $35 per person. This is one of my favorite High Point restaurants. Atmosphere: It's NOT the usual run down, sticky floor, Chinese restaurant. It has a modern design with friendly staff. They've consciously made a decision to not just be a good, "Asian" restaurant, but strive to be a GREAT restaurant. You won't find a better crew! Bar: Leche Martini. Nuff said. Food: 98 offers a wide variety of Asian cuisine. My favorite is the beef pho. The one thing to stress is the freshness of the ingredients. I found promising reviews and they did not disappoint! I live in Washington, D.C., the options of great dining are endless. The experience we had here is one of the best I've had in a long time. The restaurant is beautiful! Great atmosphere for a special occasion. The service we received was fabulous. Our waitress was friendly and very helpful. She even took pictures of us and found spots with perfect lighting. She encouraged us to walk around and enjoy the other beautiful rooms. The wait staff covering other tables were also very attentive to us. The food was excellent. They were willing to substitute or modify almost any dish to make it vegetarian or without eggs or sauce. My brother and I eat meat and our food was great! We really enjoyed meeting and spending time talking with owner Tu. Really impressed with 98 Asian Bistro. It doesn't even seem like you're eating at a restaurant in High Point, NC. As someone who went from CA to NC, it's definitely a stand out in the area. The service was attentive, and consistent throughout the evening. The food was well prepared, very flavorful, and authentic. The Tom Yum is literally the best Tom Yum I think I've ever had. This was our first time but it was awesome! We didn't know it was even there but went tonight. I had the Drunken Noodles and my wife had Pad Thai. Both were so flavorful and presented beautifully. I finally tried 98 Bistro tonight. I read their reviews on yelp, which were good. I was so excited to dine there! The restaurant is impressive when you first walk in. No expense was spared on the décor. It is beautiful! The staff was very friendly and pleasant. I had the chicken saatay for starters. It was ok, but I wouldn't rave about it. The spring rolls were pretty good. I make spring rolls. I think mine are better. The dipping sauce was very sweet and not as flavorful as I have had in more traditional Asian restaurants. I love Papaya salad. It was not on the menu, but the staff was very accommodating in preparing the salad just for me. I felt bad for putting them to the trouble, because the salad was terrible. In my experience Papaya salad is light and very flavorful. This salad was heavy with fish sauce. I didn't want to hurt their feelings so I asked for a to go box. The waitress thought I didn't like the salad because it was spicy. I asked for hot. The heat was not the issue. I LOVE hot food and I eat it all the time. The salad was that bad! I also had the chicken Larb. It was ok, but it wasn't as flavorful and wonderful as Larb can be, from my own experience. I really wanted to love this place. I really did. I left disappointed. I will not go back. There are way better authentic Asian restaurants in Greensboro that are also a lot less expensive. read more

My friend and I had lunch here Monday and couldn't have been happier. We are already fans of their family's restaurant on Eastchester so when Todd and Tu branched out on their own we couldn't wait for them to open. It's really amazing what they've done with the space, combining traditional Asian pieces with a contemporary atmosphere...stunning. The food was delicious and they are very accommodating to vegetarians. This huge for me as its difficult to find restaurants in this area that cater to my diet. As they get over market rush, they plan to keep expanding their menu. This will include traditional Thai combined with other pan-Asian flavors and ingredients. We are lucky to have a lot of Thai/Vietnamese restaurants in the greater Triad area but this little jewel is unique. read more

When I walked into this restaurant, my first thought was "wait, am I still in High Point?" This place is absolutely gorgeous, from the tiny tea lights, to the gorgeous fabric on the pillows & banquettes, to the large Buddha that holds court in the center of the restaurant - no detail has been overlooked - yet the end result is anything BUT pretentious and stuffy. And, as a side note, they do have a private dining room - perfect for a holiday party or company dinner. I stopped in for lunch after a hectic morning & the ambiance was just what was needed to soothe my jangled nerves. I got the Chicken Pho - my goodness, what a portion for only $8. A bowl the size of Jethro's cereal bowl appeared, filled to the brim with delicious broth, noodles, ample white meat chicken and cilantro. This gorgeous presentation was further enhanced by the underplate, which contained bean sprouts, Thai basil, fresh sliced jalapeño and lime. As others have mentioned, your entrée is preceded by your choice of a fried or cold spring roll. I opted for the fried version, and boy was it delicious. It came with a sweet sauce with a hint of sourness; absolutely delicious. I could totally make a meal out of those spring rolls alone. My dining companion got the Chicken Pad Thai & enjoyed it very much as well. I can't wait to go back to try something new! read more

Really great food and atmosphere. Best fried spring rolls I have ever had, which came with a tasty citrus based dipping sauce. They also have fresh spring rolls. Your choice, either one comes with all entrees. The Pho was amazing as was the lemongrass beef served with steamed rice. Comfortable seating with throw pillows on the booths. Price was reasonable. $8 for every entree on the lunch menu. All the food descriptions looked good, so I will definately be back to try other items. read more
