Cup of pho broth and Bahn mi sandwich
    Lana K.

What a pleasant surprise! Service was friendly upon arrival until departure. Came here after the storm and it was empty, which was nice. They offer booths and high top seating with real flowers. A nice touch. Menu is straight forward. We ordered the deviled eggs, a cup of pho broth, Bahn Mi sandwich and a cheese steak sandwich. All of it was delish. If you are looking for flavors outside of the burger and pizza joints, give 98 a try. They do take out also.

After traveling through Utah visiting parks we were excited to finally have something different than burgers and pizza. Thank you 98 for bringing diversity to the food scene in Moab! Delicious food and drinks. Our server recommended my cocktail and it was fantastic (all I know is that it had cilantro and soy milk). Nice dog friendly patio too.

Nice ambiance and fast, friendly service. Both the bahn mi and cheesesteak were tasty, served with regular potato chips.

What a find! We got incredibly lucky and arrived just before the lunch crowd, managed to snag a perfect seat outside. While we didn't try the cocktails or mocktails ourselves, plenty of people around us were ordering them and they looked absolutely fantastic. We ordered the bowl, nachos and devils eggs and the food presentation was stunning--honestly, it was just fun to look at! But the real highlight was the taste. The second you bite into it, you know you are fueling your body with something that is both incredibly healthy and genuinely delicious.

The appetizers were incredible...hence the 4 stars. The pork over eggs were so delicious we eat 2 orders and then had the pork belly plate. The bahn mi and pho was pretty standard, not overly flavorful. The salad was enormous and an amazing black garlic ginger dressing. The vibe and atmosphere was great and service outstanding.

I got takeout from 98 Center in my second week living in Moab. I got the pork belly plate starter and the bánh mì plate. The pork belly was spectacular, and I'm always a fan of marinated soft-boiled eggs. Same with the meat in the bánh mì entree. The side vegetables were also good. The rice was a little tough. Overall, I think eating in restaurant would be much better with everything fresh. I was in Moab helping build houses with Community Rebuilds. One of the new homeowners worked at this restaurant and I was honored to help support a local business!

The restaurant was super busy and full house! Kudos to the host, who was so friendly. I love when I walk into a restaurant and am greeted by a nice, welcoming host. That first contact make such a difference. Food was interesting. It is a Vietnamese restaurant but there is a little twist to it, which I like. I had deviled eggs and banh mi rice bowl. They were both delicious. I never asked so maybe there is an option for it, but I would prefer to have this bahm mi bowl with some vermicelli noodles instead of stick rice. My friend had a beef pho and she said it was one of the best phos she has ever had. My only comment (not complaint but just pointing out) is that I thought there was way too much noodles in the pho and not enough soup. I did overhear someone asking for more soup.

    You must get the eggs!

We came here based on the Yelp reviews and it did not disappoint. The beef Pho was outstanding and better than we expected. Service was laid back & easy to order checking regularly on us. Ambiance was casual- we showed up for lunch after a morning hike. We later read an article in the New York Times that spoke highly of this place, they definitely got it right.

Pho with organic chicken and shiitakes

98 Center serves the most incredible salad I've ever had. We're repeat customers whenever we're in town, and it's all about the bánh mì salad. The spicy Thai chili dressing takes it to new heights. Our server admitted that she's often been disappointed by overhyped salads, but this one truly lives up to the hype! Hubby had the pho with organic chicken and shiitakes. The pork belly plate appetizer was fork tender and a flavor bomb. We sat outside on the dog-friendly patio. I have often experienced slower service while sitting outside on restaurant patios, but not here. The service was prompt, friendly and up to par with the quality of the food. Thanks Sayge! We'll definitely dine here again and so should you.

After a long day of hiking at Canyonlands, we were craving great food and even better service--and we hit the jackpot at 98 Center Restaurant thanks to Maddie! From the moment we walked in, her warm smile made us feel so welcome, and her prompt service was exactly what we needed. My husband ordered the beef cheesesteak--juicy, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. I had the mein chay (noodle salad) and added chicken for extra protein. Let me just say... this salad deserves its own fan club. It was fresh, vibrant, and absolutely divine. Honestly, it's become the talk of the town (at least in our household!). I'd go as far as saying it's my favorite salad of all time. Lastly, my husband absolutely loved the sweet syrup for his iced tea that Maddie recommended--such a perfect touch! Maddie really knows how to make the experience special. We kept saying how much we wish we had a 98 Center back home in Southern California. If you're visiting Moab, do yourself a favor and eat here. The food, the atmosphere, and Maddie's amazing service made this one of our most memorable meals on our trip. Highly recommend!

Tucked away in the arid landscape of Moab, 98 Center is a culinary mirage. This tiny restaurant is a favorite among Moab insiders. Don't be fooled by its size - the flavors are gigantic. This hidden gem serves up Vietnamese fusion that will tantalize your taste buds and leave you begging for more. Fresh seasonal veggies in the desert? Yes, please! 98 Center's commitment to quality ingredients shines through in every bite. - Bánh Mì Bowl: a symphony of flavors and textures - Chicken Cheesesteak Bánh Mì: because who doesn't love a good mashup? - Beef Pho: rich, savory, and utterly soul-warming (you can get a cup of the broth as well) Knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about the menu. Ask for recs - they won't steer you wrong! Mocktail Magic: Fresh honey, ginger, and seasonal ingredients conjure up potions that will make you forget all about the booze. Check those specialty hours - you won't want to miss out on this flavor oasis.

This is my new favorite place to eat in Moab! The presentation and food were awesome! The staff were great, knowledgeable, engaging and funny. We had a great time overall.

    Tofu Banh Mi

Must visit place for a vegetarian/vegan in Moab! Great mocktails and cocktails - they are quite creative. Heart opener shrub was my favorite - it had a refreshing flavor. Switchel also had amazing flavor of citrus and ginger. Main course we ordered Tofu Banh Mi, Vegan cheesesteak and noodle salad. My personal favorite was Tofu Banh Mi - it was flavorful packed with all the fresh ingredients. The dressing added a spicy kick to this sandwich! The best Banh Mi we have ever had. Noodle salad was so fresh on a hot summer day for lunch. The chili oil dressing took this dish to another level along with peanut adding the crunch. Vegan cheesesteak was basically mushroom cheesesteak. So glad they didn't use beyond meat to make this dish. It was great too! The service is pretty quick and Dev gave us good suggestions! The ambiance is quite hip and casual.

Everything was available for pickup at the promised time, and it was all still hot! This was great after a long day of driving. I especially appreciated that they acknowledged our "nut allergy" note in our order. The food was flavorful and colorful. I would come back again if we stayed in Moab longer. We found parking easily but I can imagine it being busy since it was in the center of the town.

I really like the tamarind duck. The sauce is sweet and sour. However, I really hate how half the mushroom is cooked and half is not.. This curry is not very different from normal thai curry; the shrimp is cooked well, still has a nice crunch. Satay is normal, sauce is a little too sweet. Papaya salad is the worst dish, way too salty and sour. Green bean texture is too soft but seasoning is on point. Mango sticky rice is not good either: sticky rice is undercooked and mango is sour. I don't like the service here. We were still eating and they came over and just started to take our plates away, and when we still haven't finished the main course, they already asked if we want dessert. Also, they didn't really ask for spicy level of all the dishes and just assume we would go with the same spicy level. Food does come out very quick.

I arrived at the store after 50 minutes to give a little time cushion, but it turned out they hadn't even started on our group's order. The total cost was over $250 for five meals. That's pretty pricey, but if the food was good, we wouldn't have minded. It was not. Many of the ingredients did not taste fresh and the overall flavor was pretty bland. Their customer service was actually phenomenal. The hostess was very apologetic, but it really wasn't her fault. It truly wasn't even the fault of the kitchen staff. They were drowning in there. I don't know if they need more staff, but it's likely they do. I know for sure that they need more training for efficiency and to revise their recipes and ingredient quality. If they were that behind on a busy night, it is easy to assume that they are also too busy to be checking their ingredients for freshness. But this can all be fixed. They obviously care a lot about what they're doing. They just need to get organized and work on the quality and efficiency to make their lives a LOT easier.

After we were sat, we were promptly greeted and given our drinks. We also ordered potstickers at the server's suggestion. We ordered off the lunch menu which had a great selection and also included an egg roll and either a salad or hot our sour soup. We decided to do the Garlic Chicken with Wild Mushrooms and Red Hot Beef both with jasmine rice. Fried rice is also an included choice or you can choose to up charge for lo mein or egg drop soup. As other reviews have said, you will need to pack your patience here on the wait for food. It took 15 minutes for the soup and salad to arrive, 30 minutes for our potstickers, and 45 minutes for the main. There were only two other tables when we arrived, and they had already ordered. Four more came in a little while later, but they received their entrees within five minutes of ours arriving. Definitely be patient as everything we had was worth the wait! The potstickers are made on demand and are so good! The hot and sour soup and salad were also very delicious! The star was really the Garlic Chicken with Wild Mushrooms. It was so full of flavor. The Red Hot Beef was also very good. We will certainly be back as we want to come for a dinner experience, but we might make it an early dinner instead of during the dinner rush. Come enjoy the excellent food and relax into the experience.
