This is the BEST RESTAURANT in Moab. Their cocktails are creative and super delish - high end mixologists stuff. Their menu is Vietnamese fusion. It's the best Bahn Mi sandwich I've ever had and I live in the Oakland Ca. area which has good Bahn Mi places. They do something here I've never seen at a restaurant before; you can order bone broth as an upgrade to the potato chips that normally come with the sandwich! This place was an amazing delight. We had the chicken phó the first night and it was so good that we were back again for banh mi salads during our short trip. The flavors were so fresh, nuanced and unique. We did carry out and everything came packed in separate dishes (noodles, broth, sprouts/cilantro/peppers). The banh mi salads with chicken were such great flavor combinations - we tried the vegan black garlic and vegan orange dressings and loved both. Both times we walked in and ordered an only waited 10-15min for prep, but I think we could have called ahead. The person at checkout was friendly. I stumbled across 98 Center because my travel buddy is vegan and I like to explore vegan options with him on our travels. In that regard, 98 Center did not disappoint. He ordered a vegan "cheesesteak" and really enjoyed it. While the name of the joint does little to clue you in on this, it is a Vietnamese-fusion-style restaurant. The atmosphere, staff, and clientele were so hipster I found myself mocking it all a bit, but I do have a tendency to gravitate toward those types of places. They always promise an interesting experience at the very least. The service was friendly and helpful. I got the impression that the staff really cared about the place and the customers. I would recommend especially for vegans, vegetarians, and people who enjoy Vietnamese food. (Personally, I discovered it's not really my taste. Wow! Ate here twice...and we were only in town for 3 days! Bahn mi sandwich was delicious, Hi C drink was a dream; literally a grown up version of the classic. But, they make it easy and call you when they have a table available so you can window shop while waiting. We were lucky to get the coveted corner table. The food was AMAZING. With its Japanese styled pork belly and kimchi deviled eggs this is much more of a fusion restaurant than a traditional Vietnamese place. But don't let that stop you from coming, fun and inventive takes on classics help reshape the cuisine in to something new and refreshing. They do suffer from many of the classic problems fusion places often do. Some of the classic dishes could be more refined; the pho was too small, noodles were bunching, and it could take more meat. The price too, was higher than a traditional pho place. I also think the location is at danger of becoming causality of their own success, busy to the point where it feels crowded just sitting, and our poor waiter was so busy he looked like he could use a glass of water... That said, coming here didn't disappoint, and what was good far outweighed the poor. the bahn mi was well balanced and tasty. The salad was creative and colorful. My favorite thing about this place was the giant cookie we got and the fact that they have their own simple syrup for their tea. We got some sort of sandwich with melted cheese and avocado and it was very yummy! Home made chips are good too. I was a bit disappointed with their scallops but everything else was good. Loved this place. Arrived about 5:30 on a Thursday in April, and it was already pretty busy but not full yet. We sat at the community table in the middle of the restaurant (patio was full). Drinks from the bar were a little slow to arrive, but service was otherwise quick and friendly. Got the New York Sour, which was good, if a little sweet. Pork belly app was AMAZING, as was the rest of our dinner. My 11-year-old loved the Philly Cheesesteak. The rest of us went with Vietnamese options-- Beef Pho was delicious--I would have taken that broth home with me if I could have and my husband, who loved the pork belly banh mi. For dessert, the lemon blueberry cheesecake was outstanding (crust was so-so, but it didn't matter). Ate out 4 nights in Moab, and this was our favorite. Go while you're in town! read more

After hiking the Arches, we wanted something hot to eat since it had been cold and raining. We came across this place and we were sold on having pho. It did take awhile to have the pho served (which I was not used to) but it was totally worth it. It was tasty and it hit the spot to what we wanted. I also ordered a double chocolate chip cookie and my BIL ordered a blonde dessert. My cookie tasted dry and stale and my BIL's blonde dessert was not as good as he thought (lost one star). The pho is great but be weary of those extra serranos. They pack a punch! The space is nice although definitely small for as popular as they are. Unfortunately it's the service that is the weak point. It's not that they're not trying but there seems to be a breakdown. They almost felt understaffed. There was a solid 30 minute wait, but we watched our table sit vacant for a good 20 minutes until we were sat at it. We only saw our server twice. They took our order and then they didn't stop by again until the end after we had been done for a while. We felt invisible. I didn't get the sense that this was a unique experience. I saw multiple tables waiting for their server and saw plenty of people that likely would have ordered another drink (or more) had their server been available to ask. While I like not being pressured to leave, it's hard watching new people get told there is a 30-45 minute wait when they restaurant is simply not turning their tables. People didn't seem to be camping out by choice. That said, the food was good enough that I would definitely come back so the issues are not in the back of house. read more
