I love visiting this fruit stand on the edge of UCLA's campus. I've tried the sliced mango with Tajín and the mango Tajín slush, which was an experience unlike any other ... the sensation of spicy ice!! It's affordable and fresh, and so convenient if you're visiting the Westwood area or touring UCLA's campus. Be sure to drop by!!!

Piña Colada Shaved Ice ($3). So good!

This year for my New Year's Resolution I told myself I was going to eat healthier and cook more and…read morethis is the best way for me to do that. Good Box Organics is not only convenient, with the food being delivered right to my door, but is entirely healthy as well. The owners Samantha and Mark started this business in 2010 and have a mission of creating a healthier future. The best part is they work with local farmers to get all their produce and find multiple ways to give back to the community. They also have their Support a School program where they donate 5% back from every box sold. They have different boxes to choose from and different sizes as well. Some boxes are fruits only and others include fruits and vegetables. I went with the half size fruit and vegetable box. Before delivery, you get an email of what is going to be inside the box and the best part for me is, it includes recipes of what you can make with the items in your box. My box included an avocado, pears, apples, oranges, broccoli, cilantro, pink chard, and lettuce. One of the recipes included Baked Broccoli Parmesan Fritters which I am definitely going to try out because I always need new ideas for meals with having two small children. The delivery fee for their boxes is $6.95 or you can pick up the boxes for free at many of their local pickup locations. The service area covers the greater Los Angeles Area , San Fernando Valley, Pasadena, and Conejo Valley so definitely something for everyone!

The farmers are kind and good people. The produce is local, fresh, and can't be matched. The small team that makes this company work are AMAZING individuals. Sam and Mark are truly two of the kindest and most genuine people in my life. I couldn't recommend supporting a small local company more. I genuinely mean it.

Don't forget to get tour ticket validated at the store when you walk out. It's small store but does pack a major punch. Always busy as UCLA is around the corner. This location does have one of the best floral department. It's alway loaded with amazing potted plants, loads of orchids plants and a fully stocked supply of fresh cut flowers. Bigger selections than some other stores I've been to. Layout pretty much is all the same. Service is alway great as everyone is alway ready to help if you have a question. If there's something that I can't find, they'll either check in the back or look it up to see if a shipment is available or if it'll be stocked later. It's usually been an older crowd that's wanted whatever health products were popular 10-20 years ago. At one point during the late 90's and early 00's, it was tremendously popular with the celebrity class of LA, and it was Erewhon before there was Erewhon. It has since drifted into a more relaxed, slightly frumpier incarnation now in 2026. As you can see from all the 1 and 5 star reviews, it's a place that inspires both stubborn loyalty and intense frustration in equal measure, and I think that about sums up experience for the uninitiated. You'll see that I've split the difference with this 3 star review in an attempt to capture reality. This is far from a perfect grocery store -- the prices are high, a lot of the produce is not looking so good, the milk is always about to expire, the aisles are poorly organized, they're missing lots of things you want. But it's also a real co-op and not a chain, it's possible to eat healthfully from here, and they are extremely responsive to their member's (numerously and frequently delusional and extremely SaMo) requests. The angry reviews about bad service here are overblown; I've been here dozens of times and never had a problem. And as long as it's member-owned, it can always change for the better very quickly, which I've seen happen here before, and may happen again. Personally, my reason for not shopping here is just the poor organization of the store overall, selection of dry goods which are widely second-rate to me, and shabby, soon-to-be-expiring produce and perishables attached to a luxury price. I see no reason to shop here when I have the SaMo farmer's market AND better organized specialty stores like Erehwon or McCall's right near by -- which are, despite what numerous reviews here desperately proclaim, the exact same price point as Co-Opportunity. I hope this clears up why the reviews here are all-over-the-place, it's because the store is too!
