I came here on the last night of a 3 week long business trip and am upset I didn't come to this place sooner! I'd been eating at some decent places in Franklin but wish I had come here to dine sooner! Our server, Chris, was top notch. So freaking friendly and affable. Even if the food was horrible, which it wasn't, I'd still come back here just to have drinks and sit at one of his tables. We had a group of 7 and they have these cool arrangement where a wall between two adjoining booths can be sunk down to make it one long table. That was awesome for our big group. We also came on 49 cent wing night, so obviously the majority of our table partook in that. The margaritas were also $3.99 (!!!!). I mean, I thought I had died and gone to heaven (even though my company was paying for my meals, I can't turn down a good deal). Great quality American style food, and the lobster roll and Shoreline combo looked great. Great value and great quality food. Also, as we were leaving we saw that they were conducting trivia in the adjoining bar! And you could actually hear the guy conducting it talk! We had been going to trivia at The British Beer Company for the past few weeks and noise had continually been an issue during our dinners there. Great service. Manager (Dave) went out of his to make sure we were happy. Even personally delivering our lunches. Food is good consistant inexpensive chain fare. We look for 99 restaurant and frequent them. This is the best one. read more

The food is pretty average with a few exceptions. The prices are fair. The best thing about this location is Desiree, the bartender. She always has a smile for us and even remembers our names even though it's months between visits. read more

Yes, It's the "99", a chain restaurant, however I have yet to have a bad experience there. Waitstaff is consistently friendly and mistake free. Food is consistently good. The "99' in Franklin is my "go to" place when I'm looking for good food at a good price, without any surprises. The fancy Incontro is across the street, I have been there, not impressed. Called the restaurant at 4:38pm to place an order to be picked up at 5:30pm. It was three entrees. I got to the place at a little after 5:30pm. I asked the lady in front - she told me to ask the 'to go' desk. The guy there said it wasn't ready. So I waited. TWENTY minutes later my wife walks in asking what is taking so long. So, I ask again. This time another young lady was there in addition to the initial guy. She says 'I'll go check'. She comes back a few minutes later with a puzzled look on her face. I was concerned, so I asked the first lady. And no lie, she looked at me and said no idea. So I asked for a manager. In the mean time the girl that went to the back was looking under the counter at where the guy was standing. She pulls up a bag and says 'here it is'. OMG I've been waiting for my food and numbnuts was too stupid to look at the bag under the counter. The manager came out just about then. I explained my situation and told him he has a customer service issue and I left. they have a piece of wood hanging on the wall right as you walk in and it says something along the lines: You have 1 chance to make a good impression on the customer. I have don a lot of take out recently and the food there has been great!

The Franklin restaurant is hit or miss. We've been going here for years and have had good food/service and very poor food/service. We're now in a poor phase where they can't seem to get a simple order right. Take out orders are messed up approximately 50% of the time. They need to read their menu and become familiar with how the dishes are described in the menu. We're taking a break from 99 for awhile. read more

Decent food and convenient. Just wanted to commend the nice young man we recently had as a waiter. Very attentive hard worker. He went out of his way to ensure a great experience. Not your typical 99 experience. We will be requesting one of his tables next time. read more

My first time eating here and The bartender recommended the Angus chopped steak on garlic mashed potatoes with asparagus and it was pretty darn good, best chopped steak I've ever had. The service from the bartender was excellent, she asked my name and called me by it the entire time I was there. She knows her beer, treats you like you've been going there for years...what more could you ask for? read more

Walked in with friendly 99 employee who was instantly and pubicly put on spot by manager, very uncomfortable and unprofessional. Was seated at bar area and ignored while bartenders chatted among themselves. Lousy customer service - ended up leaving without ordering. Do yourself a favor and drive to Milford. read more

One star based on the discourteous, rude and obnoxious front desk staff, who could not be bothered to acknowledge anyone walking into the restaurant or literally even look up from their desk. Being unfamiliar with the intricacies of 99 Restaurant setups, we were unaware that the first hostess stand you encounter is not the "real" hostess stand and the blank-faced disinterested person standing there can't actually check your party in, but instead gestures in the general direction of the second and, I guess, "genuine" hostess stand while muttering something guttural and unintelligible. And yet when we walked to that stand, the two people staring at a screen would not look up or acknowledge us either. And so with this warm greeting, and utter lack of any sort of hospitality whatsoever, we decided to leave and take our business elsewhere. Hiring some people who like people or can at least act like they want to be there would be helpful. read more

I'm really not impressed by this location of the Ninety Nine. It's a chain restaurant so you'd expect some sort of consistency from one location to another, but that's not the case. This is hands down the worst Ninety Nine I've ever been to. The first time we went we had bad service and cold food. I gave them a pass. We went again. Again we got bad service and cold food. Both times we went on the weekend, so I really have no idea what the problem was. read more

Pretty damn good for a chain restaurant. You know what to expect when you go to a restaurant like this one. You have to use your brain when you order your food, try and pick something taht isnt too hard to cook. I love their chicken breast, And the pot pie is always good and ive tried it in 3 different 99 restaurant and the quality is the same. Dont get steak, you shouldnt get steak in a chain restaurant so like i said, dont be dumb, order chicken, the pot pie and as an appetizer get the moon muzzarela whatever they call it, Also try the steak tips flatbread i love the sauce on this one, Also try the potato skins and the gold fever wings. One tip for you and i cant stress this enough: Do NOT ask for fish or steak in ANY, and i repeat, ANY restaurant, chain or not. Want steak and fish make it yourself the way you like. Otherwise everything else here is amazing and very cheap compared to applebees, fridays, friendlys, longhorn and outback. Also better food for the kids and cheaper too. Love yhis place. Why can't I give less than one star? Rude server who was inattentive to his paying customers. He was more interested in chatting with 2 girls. Didn't offer popcorn before the meal, which has always been the regular part of service here. The burgers were, can I say, disgusting! When we mentioned that they were not cooked and were soggy they were brought back to the kitchen. The manager apologized but didn't offer anything to correct the matter. The burgers came back just as horrible. No, it's not a 5 star classy restaurant, but we are hard working people and we expect to get what we pay for. I would hope people working at this establishment, especially the manager, would take care of their paying customers and give them what they pay for. And when people are served bad food by a bad waiter they should be reimbursed. What happened to the food when it went back into the kitchen? The service here is horrible. And I will say, it used to be good. Would never go back and waste my money! read more

So this might be the worst 99 I have ever been to. Slow service, had to ask 4 times for silverware, waited an hour for over cooked and bland food. I don't expect this place to be high class dining, but this was beyond pathetic. read more

Ok it's the 99, not at the top of my list but I was forced to go there last night (kids insisted). So I get the steak tips and thinking the portion would be small I make it an extra large for the additional $4.99 cost. I have to admit, totally surprised at how good they were and the portion size was huge. No fat no junk no waste, just really good tips cooked right and seasoned right. Even the veggies were steamed and not drowning in oil or butter which is great for me. Hey maybe I hit the jackpot and lucked out but even my kids mac and cheese looked far better than anything he's had at Longhorn or Outback. I'd certainly go back for the tips again. read more

This location specifically is great (compared to others such as Milford or Hudson). Reliable food and cold drinks at great prices. The service at the bar specifically at this location is always amazing and the bartenders are extremely accommodating and great at their jobs. I'm generally not a fan of chain restaurants however we love coming here for an inexpensive yet quality dinner. read more

I don't normally go to the 99 as I had heard bad reviews from other locations. However, this 99 was close to a place where we had an appointment. It must be under new management as the service was EXCELLENT and fast! Our waitress was very attentive and so were other staff members. The food is better than I remember and the portions are generous for the price. I really like that you can add a salad or soup and a dessert for only about $3.50. Being a family that is often on the run, I get tired of stopping for fast food. It is nice that we now have an option that isn't too expensive and appears to have quick service. read more

Stopped by here on our way to Logan Airport for the first time. Short version of my experience: Awful. Long version: we walked into a collapsed ceiling with water falling over the entrance. We were seated and were served by a waitress with a dry personality. She did go over the menu when we told her it was our first time there so I thought that was nice. We ordered the frozen lemonades and I must say I was disgusted with the sticky cup handles on all glasses glasses. Prior to ordering our appetizers we decide to use the restroom to only find out the temperature throughout the building was not consistent as the bar area was soo hot and muggy and the ladies room was an ice box. We literally had to rush and use the restroom before we froze in there (A bit of sarcasm but I need to make a point here..it was unbearably cold in there). For appetizers we ordered the boneless buffalo wings which were mediocre by the way and finished our first round of drinks. The waitress refilled our drinks; however she did not clear the table from the other 4 glasses and at one point we had 8 glasses at the table. We were short on table space and she was now bringing out our main dishes. There was another waitress who noticed and cleared it up for us. The meals were gross. Dry and fried food in old oil because the fries and coutry chicken were dark brown not a golden brown. You can tell it was either frozen or fried in old dirty oil or maybe it was both. Needless to say we were not happy with service, food or restaurant appearance. We were excited to experience something new and decided to visit and dine at a restaurant we had never been to and we were disappointed. Won't be going to any 99 Restaurant again. read more
