A small restaurant tucked in the corner of Colfax & Colorado seems unassuming w simple decor outside & in. The inside is narrow & offers 10-12 tables & the walls are decorated by a staggered series of cheap door mirrors - its effective enough. The food was wonderful! We had crispy shrimp rolls, Thai fried rice & pad kee mao. They were all fantastic in flavor & seasoning! I might even say on par with thai street food restaurant (or what I call Thai Nazi place). Unlike Thai street food though, they actually let you eat in the restaurant, they take credit cards, service is great!!! The only issue we had was that the texture of chicken in our dishes were off... Kinda rubbery... Maybe old or reconstituted meat perhaps? I'll probably ask for tofu in place of chicken the next time & oh, there will def be the next time & soon! read more

I'm updating my review from 4 stars to 5 stars. My girlfriend and I have continued ordering from this fantastic little spot and we've found out a number of things: 1. The khao soy is consistently insanely delicious. 2. The deliciousness of the khao soy is rivaled by the nam tok boat noodles dish. 3. The noodles and the curries we've tried have been amazing as well, namely the panang curry and the pad ki mao (drunken noodles). I think it's still possible to have a sub 5 star experience at this restaurant (as with just about any restaurant), but my girlfriend and I have figured out what we like here and the flavor cannot be denied. read more

Ordered 9Thai for delivery and it was just decent. The noodle soup was good, but the pad see ew was very dry and fishy tasting. I didn't event eat the pad see ew, which was disappointing. I definitely wouldn't order from here again. This could be that they're just not good for delivery and the dishes are better in person, but I am not sure about that. Best Thai food I've had in Denver so far! I tried the cream cheese rangoons, papaya salad, drunken noodles, green curry, vegetable stir fry, and fried banana ice cream. Everything was on point. It's like this place is designed to be as uncomfortable and frustrating an experience as possible. - Wanted to get an appetizer. They were out of my first two choices, just weren't keeping their inventory stocked I guess, so I got some eggrolls. The eggrolls came out uncooked and frozen in the middle. - Got a noodle soup. The soup spoon is tiny and doesn't have the little hook on the end, so you can't rest it up against the bowl. You literally have to hold the spoon the entire time, or have it fall into the bowl and fish it out of the broth. - They weren't running any AC. People were literally sweating in their seats, and it wasn't because of the spice in food - there wasn't any. - Unlike most Thai restaurants that play pleasant, atmospheric Thai music, they were absolutely blasting a top 40 radio station. Just terrible, annoying music and radio DJs turned up uncomfortably loud. - The food was extremely bland, not much flavor, not spicy at all. They talk about being "real" Thai food, but from their website it appears to be owned by two American women from Aspen. Meh.... ordered takeout and it was ok. Unfortunately, not sure if it was the restaurant or the delivery place but the food arrived cold. We had the cream cheese wontons which were cold but ok. I had the cold Pad Thai, medium spice which was a good level for me, pretty spicy but definitely not the best pad Thai I've ever had - just ok. Way overpriced the prices listed on Yelp are not accurate I got pad kee mao $14.50 Tom Kha soup was $11.50. Not worth it

We want to love this place. It's only a block away from us. We've eaten here five times, and most times it's average at best. We did try it again this past weekend and we really did like the dishes we chose this time. Maybe it's because it's more traditional Thai and the other places we love have more Americanized version of the dishes. That's why Instead of an average three stars were giving them four stars. But it's just not been good enough to give them their last star. Good enough to keep going back though. I'd say it's worth a try. read more

Don't let the unassuming, modest appearance of this restaurant fool you. It's definitely the most authentic Thai restaurant in Denver. You can get "Street Pad Thai" just like you get at a Thai Night Market. Due to COVID they're short-staffed and it is set up more like a take-out place, but they still have eat-in where you can hang out and sip a Singha while you enjoy a really good meal. So we ordered food on New Years Eve and didn't expect fast delivery being a holiday. We ordered two meal and appetizer and a salad. We don't eat meat but do eat seafood. One dish we ordered was shrimp pad thai. We ended up getting chicken pad thai which was such a disappointment considering now we had one meal to share and there was no way to get something else delivered at that hour. We called them several times and the phone was busy everytime. We thought the phone was taken off the hook. We never got this corrected. We called them the next day and explained the issue and they offered to delivery the meal now (lol, really? We needed it last night) so of course I said no and then they offered a refund of that meal. I took that option. Given that our entire meal was ruined they should have offered us another delivery meal for 2. We never received the refund although called numerous times and spoke to owner. She insisted she refunded us but the refund didn't go back on my credit card. read more

And I'm still hoping that maybe, just maybe my meal got screwed up because I mean there is no way everyone else got what I got and was happy. My Chicken Pad Thai looked really yummy and my spice selection of "hot" was right on, but there was absolutely no flavor in this dish whatsoever. I usually get the pad Thai which is great, but panang is also very popular. I love this restaurant. I've been here a half dozen times since it opened. Huge improvement over Thai Monkey Club, and it blows Wokano away. This is not Americanized Thai food. It's authentic, think on the level of US Thai or Thai Street Food. Some of my go-to picks are the basic fried rice entree (some of the best I've ever had), Tom Kha soup, gyoza of course. My girlfriend loved the papaya salad. There is so much more that I want to try. I'm eager to try to ramen and the seafood. The prices are about as low as you could hope for, beer and wine is available, and the service is sincere. Decor / atmosphere is a bit lacking, but that's not what I'm going here for. Fried shrimp rolls over-rated in recent 5280 review (February 2018 page 34), in fact just ok, probably frozen and reheated. Papaya salad Thai style very nice. Tom Yum seafood soup delicious, no doubt made from scratch. 9Thai chicken and rice interesting but again over-rated in 5280. Green curry with rice 5 star good. Sticky rice with mango was delicious. Thai iced tea with boba great. Overall, definitely a Thai restaurant to try, one of the better ones in Denver. We would eat here again and again if we lived closer. My husband and I discovered this little gem one afternoon. After taking the kids to the zoo all day, we wanted something soothing and for us that seems to be all manners of Asian Soup! Let me tell you, 9Thai delivered way better than our expectations. In Denver we have found that food is a hit or miss. I used to think there was something wrong with me because I never seem to score a restaurant as average. It's either we loved it and we are adding it to our Culinary Repertoire or we hated it and we're Never going back. Add this little place to your regular repertoire! I have been there twice so far. I have had a bad respiratory problem, so I can't do super spicy like I like right now, but you can't go wrong with their version of mild. It's a well balanced heat that just gives that hint of soothing warmth while commingling beautifully with all the other flavors. So far we have tried the Basil fried rice, Pad Thai, Chicken Noodle Soup and Tom Yum soups. All worth eating multiple times. Their Thai Tea Boba is really good too. The atmosphere is warm and cozy and intimate. Perfect for a tete a tete or romantic date! The portion sizes leave you comfortably full, but the food feels light and won't weigh you down. Also, this is a family operation and it feels that way. For a little hole in the wall on Colfax just past Colorado Blvd, Wow!
