Had a great experience here after a AWFUL experience in a nearby city - I reviewed them too :-) Anyway, I shopped around for a simple 1/4 inch glass slab for my dining room table, for about a week, from as south as Santa Maria to as north as A-1 Glass... A1 came in at just over $100 (lowest price) while other quotes for the same job were as high as $400!!! A1 we're very good and patient with me too - I had a lot of questions and I was on a very busy job, and I didn't respond back in a timely manner, but they were always kind and helpful. This company continues to delight me. We have two glass-enclosed showers that both needed repairs. One made a terrible squeak. The other seemed to have shifted (like the earth in CA) and no longer closed properly. They came out for a service call and fixed the first problem on the spot. The second door could not be adjusted, so they ordered a new piece of glass. They also asked permission to come out and measure to make sure they got it right. Since we're part-time in Paso, I left the door open, and they did the measurement and replacement in the week we were gone. These folks are honest, helpful and do great work. Let me keep this real. They messed up on the measurements originally and also ordered the wrong type of window for the bathroom even after TRIPLE checking the order with them. So they had to come to the house 3 different times to fix their work. The windows themselves have areas on all of them with this like glue of sorts that I can't clean off the actual windows; Shockingly sloppy af! If that wasn't bad enough...I moved my nest cam in plain sight on my dining table cause it's usually on my windowsill but moved it for them - cause they are working on the windows... And I caught one of the workers smoking what looks like meth in my kitchen - no there wasn't any smell of pot from his white crack pipe. Now I understand the multiple mistakes. This was a great decision! I was really surprised at this type of service. I made an appointment to have my windows tinted for my new Honda and when I show up I was very surprised at the service. The tech came out to ask me about the type of driving I do and what I was looking for in a tint. He spent a lot of time explaining all of the options and what is available today which was really nice to get a little education on what's on the market today. Not sure how this company is still in business! Had a broken rv windshield, went through our insurance and requested A-1 glass to do the work. They were local and convenient. I took pictures of the Rv before dropping it off because I don't trust anyone. I went to pick up the rv 2 days later, they had informed us they had to cut the rubber because it was too big. It looked terrible and there was knife scratches in my paint where they had cut the rubber and also a substantial chip in the paint where it appeared they had dropped a tool or the window( neither were there when I dropped it off per my pictures). The manager john said they would come look at it and fix the quality issue. After discussing it they thought it would be best to order the correct rubber(why not the first time?). They came to my house and replaced the rubber. The quality was still questionable as the top corner of the rubber is raised off the body. I have contacted our insurance to try to get a second opinion, and it looks like its gonna have to go through state licensing board or small claims to get reimbursed for the damage they caused. They have yet to call me back and seems like they want to deny they caused the damage even though I have time stamped pictures and they forgot to take pictures on their end. This took place mid September and now we're in November, Absolute NIGHTMARE! read more

I was pleasantly surprised/impressed. They did a great job and I had no issues. I've had several cars tinted over the years, but only one other one since I moved to the central coast and it didn't go so well. Luckily A-1 was nothing like that experience. Some of the reviews here left me feeling some anxiety about leaving my new car. I had just picked up my car from the dealership (fresh off the truck) 2 hours earlier and they fit me in same day. The afternoon before, I had reached out on yelp inquiring about pricing and we were bouncing messages/calls back and forth while I was trying to figure out what kind of film I wanted on all windows. So on communication 5 stars! Customer service 5 stars - I got the feeling that they wanted a satisfied customer. They showed me the usual light/heat box thing which is great if you want a slightly more expensive film that turns your car into an icebox in the summer. However, I wanted something different with this car. I made it clear where I was willing to compromise and maybe less clear what tint % I wanted, but they nailed it. I wanted 80% on front windows and windshield, but they only had 70%. However, the 70% CXP tint actually seems like it transmits more light than the 80% (llumar air 80) that I have on another car (that car has a steep raked windshield though). Quality of install 5 stars - this is what really matters. There's nothing to say because it is so clean. I will definitely be recommending this place and taking future cars there. read more

I had my windshield replaced in a older gmc truck they had the glass on hand and fixed it in less then 3 days of me calling. Not only were they fast they did a terrific job. I was talking to the front desk about the services they provide. I needed a small circle piece of glass cut the owner told me to drop it off wendesday and he'll cut it out in the morning. Great service with a reasonable price. We had 8 of our 30 year old windows replaced and it's made a 100% difference. They were very accurate in their cost estimates for labor and materials. They also have financing options which was very helpful. They were also very accurate on the arrival date of the materials which took about 10 weeks to arrive due to all the other pandemic shortages. They were hired to replace a shower enclosure in December of 2017. At a cost of over $1200 one would expect it to last. This month one panel splintered Into a million pieces for no apparent reason! As the one year warranty was up they said the repair would be around $400. They were never even curious to inspect the damaged panel! Something must have been wrong with it. The WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE! I made an appointment 4 days prior. I dropped my vehicle off at 7am as told. They let me know it would take 3 hours 4 hours MAX. I called at 12 to see when I could come and pick it up, she told me 4/4:30 and that I would receive a call back to give me an exact time. 3:30 comes around and I call back to make sure my car will be done. I got the excuse that she forgot to call me back due to walk ins. She asked if we could reschedule, so by 3:30 they hadn't even began to start on my car. She told me it will be done by 6. This is a blatant disregard to a paying customer who chose your business to spend $500 on a quality window tint. Let's not forget that I am paying you to do a job, I don't work for you nor is it MY responsibility to call multiple times to try and figure out when my car will be done. Shady bad customer service.
