Food is awesome and the people are so nice!! I came one hour after they had closed not realizing their hours and they still let me order!!

Meh.. I've never seen spring rolls done with cha lua meat, instead of the typical pork...it tasted ok but a bit blasphemous. The bun thit nhuong (vermicelli with charbroiled pork) had the pork over-cooked and dry..i mean really dry like it was cooked on another day. The fish sauce was not that good, and you know how important the sauce is. Pho broth was good. The egg rolls were ok...but again, good fish sauce would have made it much better. The place is nicely decorated, clean, and kept at a very nice temperature, given the 100 degrees heat outside. I would go here again if we wanted pho and nothing else. read more

Hands down the worst milk tea I have ever had. The drink tasted powdery, the tapioca balls were all undercooked, and the cup was extremely sticky. The restaurant looked clean at first but the tables were clearly not cleaned, there were dry and sticky spots on the tables and the tables themselves smelled sour. We ordered some porridge and asked for small bowls for sharing and the bowls still had the price tags on them which was an intereseting touch. I had the Bun Bo Huè. The broth was delicious. The meat was a little stringy and chewy. We also had the sausage spring rolls- (a mixup, as we ordered the shrimp paste with bean curd) which was also good. My partner had the banh mi- which was soggy in places. It had mayo which was surprising and was unevenly applied. The waitress was in a rush and seemed quite confused, which might explain the spring roll mixup. The searing we choose (against the wall) smelled a little and could use a good mopping. read more

Not bad for the rice dish and egg rolls. Egg rolls were crispy with fresh veggies to go with. I don't really recommend the pho which my husband tried. Place was clean. Smelled like cleaning products when we walked in. Bathroom was also clean. Service was fine. We're pretty low maintenance. read more

I thought this spot was awesome, especially given the price range and food portion sizes. I ordered some pho for delivery a few days ago and it was just what I needed. Broth was nice and flavorful. Portion sizes were great too. I can't speak for the service or ambiance of the place because I ordered delivery but I can definitely say that I will be ordering again. Highly recommend. read more

We ordered takeout and it was ready in minutes! We got Banh Xeo, Bun Rieu, and Combination fried rice (I adjusted it to where it was only beef, chicken and shrimp). * The banh xeo was good, but it could've used more pork and shrimp. It was also a little oily, but still delicious. I like to roll mine into lettuce wraps!! * Their bun rieu was okay. I agree with the other reviews saying it was salty, but the flavor was right! The vermicelli noodles themselves weren't great. I might've received a bad batch, or one that was about to go bad, but it just didn't hold well in my soup. * The fried rice was delicious, it wasn't too salty or oily. I feel like you get a lot for what you pay for. Overall, I'd still recommend A-1 Pho & Grill to others. I love that they serve a variety of Vietnamese dishes, compared to other places that mainly serve Pho. I think this may be the best Vietnamese food we've had in DFW yet. We are genuinely thrilled to have discovered this place. Things we've tried: -Pork/shrimp spring rolls with peanut sauce (yum) -Egg rolls (totally unique and totally WOW) -Grilled pork rice plate (the pork is chargrilled and melts in your mouth!) -Pho tai (best I've had in Texas hands DOWN - amazing broth, good quality beef, perfect portion) Honestly, with every dish, we've been totally blown away by the flavor of the food, the attention to detail, and the authenticity of the cuisine. Today, while waiting for an oil change, we decided to check out A1 Pho & Grill, and I have to say, it wasn't bad at all. The restaurant had a nice vibe, and the inside was pleasant. I went with the pork fried rice, and my son tried the meat plate (I think that's what it was called). The restrooms were pretty clean, which is always a good sign, and the staff was fantastic. I believe it was their daughter who took our order before she left. One thing to note: make sure you're able to pay with Zelle or Cash App because their systems were down that day. Now, for the food--both plates had small portions of meat, but the flavors were solid (though I wish it had been served with hotter spices). And I know right go to a Pho place and don't order the Pho, go figure. Overall, I'd say it was a decent experience, and yes, I'll definitely be coming back. read more

Used to be my favorite vietnanese but the pork was really fatty & gristle - I would stick to shrimp or bean curd skin or sugarcane shrimp paste dishes. I hate having to go from a 5 to a 3 but ingredients need to be improved on the pork - used to be nice cuts of meat. LOVE their fresh shrimp / thinly slices pork springrolls and their fried eggrolls you can ask for rice paper or wrap in lettuce with mint, basil, cilantro etc leaves and carrots is how it normally comes. Very sweet waitress is always the same there and it's a husband and wife duo running the place. service is EXCELLENT - food comes out fast! Tables or booths to sit at, they can accommodate large groups if you call ahead. They have family meals too! read more

I ate pho and lots of it and though the meat wasn't appealing to the this was one of the most flavorful pho I've ever had. They also give a nice portion of beef which was a total plus. I was disappointed on the meat ball which I don't eat often but this one was definitely not tasty at all. My husband and I stumbled upon this spot because our original plans were changed due to it being thanksgiving eve and the restaurant planned had closed way earlier in the day. Thank goodness for this mishap. I think I found my new favorite pho restaurant in Fort Worth. This isn't a trendy spot with the money poured into the visual. Ordered chicken pho and chicken rice porridge. I could instantly smell the pho's chicken and meat was already rancid and sour. Prayed it was just the onions making the smell, but not quite. I don't know how they keep their ingredients but I hope they opt not to serve dishes that have clearly rancid meat. Just temporarily remove it from the menu until you have ingredients ready and fresh again. (Bean sprouts & herbs were fine!) Ate some of the rice porridge since it was piping hot (flavor ok, but I've had better quality in Garland) but the chicken was likely also bad or the dish re-heated in a microwave because my stomach started aching within 30 minutes. For starters the service was amazing! Natalie was so kind and helpful as well as the other lady which I didn't catch her name but she was so kind and plated up our food to go with a smile on our face, she packed everything up for us down to the bean sprouts and other greens! For drinks we had the strawberry lemonade which my kids LOVED, I had the mango green tea which was absolutely refreshing, and my husband had the hot jasmine tea which he loved! On to the food; I had the pho #4 and I didn't even need to add too many sauces or anything since the way it came was sooo good already and I didn't want to take away from it. My husband had the bun bo hue soup and he loved it! He said he hadn't had one that had the traditional blood it in a long time! We also had the spring rolls and they were perfect! My kids had the egg rolls which they devoured! They also had the crispy combination chow mein and loved it! They had a lot of fun eating the crispy noodles! The ambiance as well was amazing! I moved here fromNorthern California and was scared I wouldn't be able to get good Vietnamese food but when stumbled upon this place on uber eats I was blown away!! I literally felt like I was back in San Jose. Their food is authentic, delicious, and packaged carefully for Togo. I have ordered take out legit 4-5 times already and it's ALWAYS consistent. Comforting and tasted almost just like my grandparents Canh chua!! We came solely for the canh chua ça kho to and I'm so glad we did. The whole meal came out to about $32 and was enough to generously stuff 2 people with leftovers to take out. This would fill 3 people throughly. The Canh chua was a bit on the sweeter side but not in an unbearably bad way and all of the necessary vegetables were served in the soup. Lots of Thai chilis and rice were given on the side as well. Just had to dock 1 star since I felt the place could've been a bit more clean. Nevertheless, this was the first place I've been to that has served this dish exactly as if it was my family's home cooking. I am an avid Pho fan and eat it very often. My normal place is closed on Tuesday's so me and my spouse decided to check them out. I am so glad we did this place is absolutely phenomenal. We had the chicken spring rolls which were very flavorful and had plenty of chicken. We got the combination fried rice which was delicious. The tau ky thit nuong is identical, very good. The egg rolls here are crunchy as well, they also add taro to the filling and its less oily! I like it. Bun rieu was okay, a bit salty for me, maybe try a different soup dish. I recommend the rice or the banh hoi. Next time would like to try the com gia dinh. Rice dac biet is good too!! I love sunny side up eggs with the korean ribs. Yummy. The fish sauce here is more on the vinegary side, which I like. Amazing and authentic Vietnamese food!!! I usually do not like Vietnamese take outs but all the times that I've ordered from this place it has been nothing but delicious. They have the best bo la lot (beef wrapped in lolot leaf) in the DFW area and the dipping sauce is also yummy-not too fishy. Their bun rieu is saltier than others but that's how I like it so I don't mind it. Their rice plates never misses, the broken rice with thit nuong (grilled pork) is my fav! Found my favorite place to get Thai tea near me, it was super creamy the best I've ever had. Loved the pho my veggies were fresh. The servers were on top of it, my glass of water never got halfway empty. Also, I loved the spice of the chili oil at the table! Definitely coming back. read more

The usual place I go to for spring rolls was closed & finally decided to try something new. I ordered the chicken, beef and traditional spring rolls. Great customer service. All were outstanding, clean tasting and the meat was cooked perfectly! They didn't fall apart or break open. The peanut sauce was amazing. But today i used Doordash to order from them. I got my orders promptly and the food was warm. But then realized the noodles & bamboo shoots were missing.
