We have used them multiple times for different appliances, and every time my wife and I (having owned many homes in 28 yrs Army service), surprised every time by the speed in which Viorel (the technician who came) was able to come out, the extremely reasonable price, his ability to diagnose and be frank of the best way to resolve the problem... every time fixed and at a surprisingly low price things we could not google/AI figure out on our own... and gave explanations overall and always gave information to help us with the appliance and other systems beyond what he came to fix/paid. Our dishwasher suddenly stopped working right before we were about to leave for vacation! Our dryer was on the fritz so I gave A Absolute Appliance Repair a call. Talk about GREAT service. I called them this morning (8.15.24) and they were able to fit me in same day. The tech called to say he was on the way, 5 minutes later he was here. Found the problem quickly, told me what was wrong (heating coil) and how much it would be for the repair, I gave him the OK. He went to his van, got the new part, installed it and cleaned the entire dryer. It works better now then it did when we moved in 5 years ago. This was a completely positive experience, from initial call to end of service. Helen took my call and booked our appointment for the day after the holiday weekend. On the day of our appointment, she called back to confirm a time window of 1-4pm. At 1:15pm, I got a call from the service technician that he was 20 minutes away. He showed up on time, put liners on to cover his shoes, and went straight to work. He diagnosed, disassembled, repaired, and reassembled our dryer like it was the simplest thing. He also used a shop-vac and removed five years of built up lint throughout the entire dryer (yes, we use the lint trap, but apparently lint still cakes up all throughout the machine). Finally, he cleaned up the workspace so it was like he was never there. The service cost was very reasonable and he was done in two hours. Despite a potential loss of $1-2000 for them on a repair, they spent a ton of time explaining why I was best served not to go with obsoleted replacement coils they had spent a ton of energy trying to find at my insistence, and rather buy new (forgoing their services). I had a broken washer and am grateful to this company for promptly getting me scheduled. The repairman was helpful, efficient and professional. He diagnosed the issue and ultimately advised purchasing a new washer due to the nature of the repair and what it would cost. I also had him look at our dishwasher which hasn't been performing well and rather than recommend a repair, he suggested I get a dishwasher cleaner I hadn't been familiar with. DO NOT USE! Tech out of Mundelien 847-949-4011, spent 5 minutes counting the number of times the light blinked on control panel of dishwasher before charging $65 and saying he had to research. We had told him this much on the phone when we booked the service. Called next day about repair proposal and he started yelling in the phone! 4 days later still no proposal. Invoice says Roger D was tech and he is UNprofessional and in my opinion a rip-off artist. read more

Our Samsung dryer would not shut off when the cycle was completed. We would have to leave the dryer door open. When I called Absolute Appliance repair, I clearly explained the problem. When the technician came out the next day I explained the problem again. He did nothing tested nothing. I took him less than a minute to tell me I would need a new part that he would order and return in a couple of days and it would cost me $309.00. That's half of what I paid for the dryer two years ago. What a scam, they could have told me this when I called them on the phone. I will never call Absolute Appliance Repair again. Contacted them via their online form. They got back to us early the next day. We had a dryer making lots of noise. The repair tech arrived as scheduled (they confirmed his arrival time and also confirmed when he was on his way). The repair tech (Matt) did a great job inspecting the Bosch dryer, finding the problem, fixing it, putting it back together and getting it back in position in about an hour. He repaired my refrigerator and repaired the kinked water line at no additional charge. The cost was very reasonable, and he left with a couple fittings in case I wanted to change out the water inlet line in the future. BEST appliance repair service I've ever used. Less wait, less money and better service than Sears, Abt or anyone other independent I've used in 32 years as a homeowner. I've had Abt out twice on my dryer because it's still under warranty and it still doesn't work properly. While I usually scramble to clean behind the appliance before they put it back, I found my guy (sorry don't remember name) had already cleaned it himself. That doesn't happen. He also took care of a second issue that didn't really need a repairman, but did it anyway and only charged the lowest basic service call for all of it. Unbelievable. Asked someone to come and look at my dishwasher, set a time between 4-6, called at 5 and said they're short staffed and couldn't send anyone until Saturday. The guy came, started running my dishwasher and basically told me that it needs to be cleaned, didn't even look under the sink or inside the dishwasher! We recently called A Absolute Appliance Repair to fix our clothes dryer, and had a very positive experience in all respects. The gentleman (named Jim) who responded to our call was professional, courteeous and friendly. Jim immediately quoted the service charge, which was extremely reasonable, and explained that it was deductable from the cost of labor for the repair. He also listened to the symtoms of the breakdown, and offered a preliminary observation of what the problem was. After examining the dryer, Jim explained that there were two possible solutions to the problem, and suggested that we try the cheaper one first, since it would involve no additional charge. Then, if it didn't work, he would come back and install the necessary part. As it turned out, the cheaper solution didn't work, so we called Jim back, and he came back and installed the part, which fixed the problem. It should be noted that he did not charge us for the second visit, nor did he charge any labor to install the part (i.e., he charged us only for the part itself). All in all, I can recommend A Absolute Appliance Repair without reservation, i.e., based on our experience. Jim was very competent, professional, and kept us informed about what he was doing all the time. Moreover, I was very impressed by his suggestion to try to do something ourselves to save some money--most repairman I have been associated with would have just gone ahead and installed the part, and charged for the second service call.
