Please be advised and do research when looking for a facility to store your items. This one was inexpensive and fit my budget at the time of renting. However the facility itself is outdated, a little run down and have lack of surveillance/security. I also want to preface this with the assistant manager was doing his job and I understand that he was just doing his job. He did everything he can to assist me at the time. I rented a 5x5 storage unit which fit what I needed for both personal and for my business. I did everything online so I was unable to view available units at the time. Biggest issue (attached photo below) was the top part of my unit was exposed and only had a grated makeshift cover. My worry was if any water or bugs would come into my unit and destroy what I have stored. On Feb 16th I get a call that my units security had been compromised and sure enough my units lock had been ripped off and my belongs have been stolen. My other complaint was the manager discovered my unit had been broken into on feb 15th but didn't call me till the morning of 16th. Where was the urgency?? There are no cameras in the hallways if you have a unit indoors. And the only cameras they have are out doors. I understand due to confidentiality reasons they can't show me surveillance which is why I was trying to describe and be vocal about the picture i had of my unit before it's broken into. So they can identify any of my belongings if they see it on the videos. This is where I felt so unheard and just another "theft" that happened at this facility. Please just do your research and know you get what you pay for. Which I also think sucks cause they raised the rent a few weeks ago and still can't put any maintenance to update the facility or add more surveillance. read more

This storage place only has good 5 star reviews because they give you a free lock if you put a good review. However is horrible, we got all our belongings stolen around 10:30am on a weekday and no one saw or heard anything. Manager lived on site and was nowhere to be found, the person who goes around property saw out storage broken into and didn't say anything only wrote a note that our storage was open. Main manager was not helpful at all, police asked for camera footage and records of who went in and out the time it happened and manager never provided with that information. I have to agree with Kelsey A, this was a bad experience. I purposely did not purchase rental insurance because I was told they had cameras everywhere (even confirmed in an email). Recently they broke into my unit, in fact, all the units on my row. We filed a police report, and turns out they DO NOT HAVE cameras. Only grainy, cheap cameras in the front. There are no cameras protecting your unit. It is an invasion. The thief took their time sawing off locks and going through the unit carefully taking what they wanted - and no one saw them. Do not store here. One of the managers was snippy, and the offer of a one-month free rent DOES NOT replace valuables or the creepy feeling that comes with knowing that items you worked for, someone stole. I tented a unit at the extra space in Hesperia. That one was nice and clean. This one has lights that don't work, no cameras , a ridiculously high late fee too. The employee I have dealt with with was kind. Recently I went in needing a cart. I saw one in the office with sone small boxes on it. They told me they had no carts available. Three times I've been there and they never have a cart available. It messy and I regret renting a unit there read more

Initially I was geared towards public storage but with this COVID pandemic going on most of these units were taken and all that was available was larger units for storage of furniture etc. Not what I was looking for... I came across this place which I didn't know even exist, and decided to give them a call despite the negative reviews I read. I've used Extra Space Storage in the past and it has always been a convenient location. I decided to come back to this company rather than other locations because of its convenience and was listed at a cheaper rate for a 5x5 unit. I received a follow-up call from an associate regarding the reserved unit and was told that it was actually too small for what I was going to store and he let me know that there was another 5x5 unit--a taller unit-- for what I was looking forward. So I had decided to go with his recommendation; however, the following day when I went in to fill out the paper work, the unit he suggested had been rented out the night before (after he spoke to me about the unit) to someone else, leaving me with another unit more expensive than what I originally intended. So instead of renting a 5x5 (like I needed), I was left renting a 5x10 at a higher cost because it would be too inconvenient to drive the rented U-Haul to another facility. I was disappointed that the associate who made the recommendation for the alternate 5x5 unit didn't apply my reservation from the previous one. Despite this big oversight, the associate that helped process my paperwork and showed me the 5x10 unit was very helpful and very nice. read more

These people are the rudest ever. They have rats and all the stuff the rats chewed on we left when we cleaned out our storage. They called us up and threaten us to take to collections for 150. If we didn't come back. Why should we clean up after your rodents. First our 300 sofa and now all my pics and a lot of other stuff unreal. I posted pics of the rat and trap that was in our storage. Oscha needs to be called on these guys. Rats bring deadly disease. Also manager was parked in front of storage when we arrived and we asked to move their vehicle, and they were so rude telling us we have to figure it out and refuse to move. Saturday morning am calling around looking for a decent priced storage for my bins. I spoke to sweet & enthusiastic Holly from Extra space storage i found them in the phone book. I loved everything she told me about extra space storage pricing sounded great, THEIR EXCELLENT security gate and cameras just what i was looking for I also called and spoke to Joe the manager at the Pomona facility once again very welcoming and attentive on the phone confirming everything sweet Holly just explained to me minutes before him. So, i made a decision over the phone to take my bins to this incredible storage place. Woke up my hubby and It took my husband and I a few hours to load both cars. WOW, affordable prices, close to home , and attentive reps. SCREECH, PUT ON THE BRAKES !!!! First of all the SECURITY gate was wide open, i was able to drive right in and park my car INSIDE ( this DOESN'T sound secure to me ! LIE ! ) Mike was the front desk rep and escorted us to the upstairs unit that had been reserved for me. I did ask on the phone for a unit close to the fright elevator i was ASSURED they did have ONE. "NOT" the case they LIED ! AND , Only one person can use the upstairs freight at one time. If someone else is using it at that time (possibly moving in a household full of furniture) , u cannot use the freight until AFTER that person is COMPLETELY FINISHED ! HEY HOLLY n joe U DIDNT MENTION THIS ! Mikey proceeded to speak of an other unit that was downstairs that i might be interested in so we started to walk towards the unit and " B-A-M" he dropped the VERY SECRET that was the DEAL BREAKER FOR US. He says you will be paying your monthly fee and BY STATE LAW ALL CLIENTS MUST PURCHASE " STORAGE INSURANCE" (me) HUH, WHAT, NOOO, I DONT THINK SO... Stay away from this storage facility. Extremely poor customer service and the desk representatives lie about the company policy. I reserved the unit online, THERE WAS NO INDICATION THAT PURCHASING INSURANCE IS REQUIRED. When I went into the facility to complete the rental paperwork, I was told that I had to pay for insurance despite the fact that I have homeowners insurance. I was told by the representative that when I brought in my homeowners insurance policy, the insurance charge would be removed. Two days after renting the unit I brought in my homeowners insurance policy but they refused to refund the insurance charge. I immediately informed the desk representative of my intention to vacate the unit. I regret contacting and renting from this facility. Haven't had too many problems here but my issue is with the frequent price increases. They raised my rates almost immediately...basically let me move all my stuff in then raised my rent since I wouldn't want to move out at that time. This happened about 2 months after starting the space. Now about 6 months later they raised the rates again (a total of a 50% increase since I first moved in)! That's twice within a year and now I'm taking my stuff out and going elsewhere. Shady business practices here. On the bright side, when I finally moved out, the staff was super friendly and helpful. When I stored my stuff here a few years back the staff was rude, not nice and friendly. The units had bugs crawling about them. None of the clients here ever returned the moving carts back to the designated areas, leaving you searching the grounds just to find one. No lighting inside the storage units themselves leaving you struggling with the light from the halls, or moving your stuff in the middle of the heat of the day. Also no temperature controlled environment means you will be sweating like a pig and not at all comfortable moving your stuff in or out of unit. read more

Its funny how these people give bad reviews. I have been a loyal customer at this facility for 6 yrs. The employees have always been courtesy, respectful, going the extra mile. There are times when I am in the office paying my bill and see and hear them getting yelled disrespectful. But they maintain their composer. Maybe if people would pay their bills on time , making excuse not to pay their bills. You wouldn't have a problem. Theses employees are just doing their job. I reserved my storage last week, got a quick phone call shortly after from Joe the Assistant Manager there to make sure I had all the info and ready to move in. Moved in the next day to a 5X10 unit.. it might not have been as easy as my move to my unit in Fontana a few years back since my unit is now upstairs but with the cart provided and the elevator it literally took me no more than 30 minutes to move all my stuff in so I can't complain. Talk to the staff both times I have been there since and Joe & the Manager RaeAnn both were very helpful. My unit and building I'm in both seem clean and taken care of so I feel secure leaving my stuff there for the few short months I will need them there. I'm sure when I move I will be using extra space again for the 3rd time. read more
