Keeping the story short, they never called me when it was ready like they said they'd do so I called them. Then the tech got on the phone and started going down a mile long list of things wrong like leaks etc. I know it leaks a little ( just look where you park!). I could see where he was going - $$$$$$. So I told him I'll just stick with oil change for now, assuming they changed the oil since it's been in the shop all day. Well, they didn't change oil. When I called the next day to see when truck is done, they said they haven't done the oil change. (!!!???). This was at NOON NEXT DAY! So I told them forget oil change I'm coming to get my truck! Bottom line - my truck was in their shop for a simple oil change and after 2 DAYS!!! IT DIDN'T GET DONE!!! It's obvious they wanted to turn a bigger profit-oh, the things wrong they'll find!! The tech said they might have to tear the engine down depending on what they find!!. Anyway, I'M DONE WITH BUDS DIESEL!!!! Stay away if you aren't up to being oversold!!! BEWARE!!!

He walked me through the difference between a refurbished and new battery and I chose the refurbished option which came with a one year warranty. Unfortunately the battery failed shortly after but never in my life have I experienced customer service like this. They offered to pick up my car and drop off a loaner. That alone is exceptional. They quoted me way under anyone else that I had called prior to going with them. I will recommend A-1 Muffler Express to all of my friends and family. They all make you feel that you're part of the family. They offered me coffee and cold water while I waited for my car to be done. He had a good idea of what might be wrong and invited me to bring the truck in for an assessment. After inspecting it, he identified damage (caused by rats) to the transmission wiring harness, which had unfortunately caused internal damage. He walked me through everything clearly and provided a very reasonable estimate for a full rebuild. Throughout the entire process, Ed was easy to communicate with, always professional, and genuinely helpful with his advice. What really stood out was how he went above and beyond after the repair. I was told this type damage might be covered under my comprehensive auto insurance. Ed then took the time to work directly with my insurance company--providing detailed documentation and expert insight. Because of his effort and experience, the claim was approved and the repair ended up being fully covered. That level of service is rare these days. I truly appreciate Ed's honesty, professionalism, and follow-through. He did exactly what he said he would do and then some. Everything is extremely straight now, we both took the time to see where the issue may lie and resolved it. Will come back again.
