I've been going to Bud's Diesel for many years with my truck(s). They always did good work, but at a slightly higher tier of pricing, which I didn't mind since it was quality work. Long story short, my truck needed an oil change so I called them when to bring it in and they were wide open. Took the truck in at 10:00 next morning (which they said was good). When I dropped it off they asked if I wanted to wait, but there was another truck ahead of me and I had things to do so I told them I'll come back later when it's done to pick it up. Keeping the story short, they never called me when it was ready like they said they'd do so I called them. Then the tech got on the phone and started going down a mile long list of things wrong like leaks etc. I know it leaks a little ( just look where you park!). I could see where he was going - $$$$$$. So I told him I'll just stick with oil change for now, assuming they changed the oil since it's been in the shop all day. Well, they didn't change oil. When I called the next day to see when truck is done, they said they haven't done the oil change. (!!!???). This was at NOON NEXT DAY! So I told them forget oil change I'm coming to get my truck! Bottom line - my truck was in their shop for a simple oil change and after 2 DAYS!!! IT DIDN'T GET DONE!!! It's obvious they wanted to turn a bigger profit-oh, the things wrong they'll find!! The tech said they might have to tear the engine down depending on what they find!!. Anyway, I'M DONE WITH BUDS DIESEL!!!! Stay away if you aren't up to being oversold!!! BEWARE!!! read more

We had been coming to Buds for about 10 years , spent thousands of dollars , Nick and Buds were the only place we trusted to work on our 2006 Chevy 2500 HD Duramax Longbed. That changed for the past year or so since Nick has been gone. Awhile back we took the truck in for servicing , the customer service we received was just "ok" something seemed off , kinda like you know you don't trust something but you don't know what it is. I shook it off thinking it was just me and maybe I was overreacting because Nick was gone. Fast forward to about a month ago. We took the truck in for the typical oil change, fuel filter , tire rotation ($500) plus asked them to check out why the truck is stalling when the fuel tank is half full or lower. They said it would take about a week to diagnose it as they were busy. Plus it would cost about $400 to diagnose. After asking about it then they said they would put 1/2 of the diagnosis toward the repair and wipe it if we spent more than $2500. * note - we called about a week before we brought it in and they told us to wait a week to bring it in so they can get to it. When we brought it in they said that it would take that long because we didn't have a reservation. Ugh! The car sat for a week and there wasn't a diagnosis yet. We had to pull the truck out because we needed transportation and needed it fixed. We had already spent $350 on a rental car for the week, plus Ubers for the couple of days before we rented the car. Plus spent another $200 to add rental days while we took the truck to another shop Bottom line, Buds just isn't the same and it's sad. They lost a loyal customer over customer service and communication. read more

BEWARE BEWARE!!! I brought my truck for a new Banks intake on a 2018 Ram. They didn't put the correct bolts in some spots so that the intake wasn't seated securely. I'm just not comfortable with a mechanic that can't install bolts correctly. I complained to them and basically Paul who identified himself as one of the managers but on the other posts I see that it says he's the owner explained to me that he had a new tech working on my truck that was supposed to be overseen by a senior tech, but they're shorthanded so that didn't happen. They did offer to fix it, but how can I expect them to fix something that they can't install properly. I requested a refund on the labor so I could take it somewhere that has the experience and the knowledge to install the intake correctly. Paul laughed at that idea. I guess because they already have my money. They did offer me a free oil change, but I don't even trust them to do that correctly. I'm not looking for anything for free. I just wanted the part installed correctly from an experienced technician which I paid for. read more

No dealing with Mark Had my 06 F350 towed there with an impression they would help me out with my break down. Truck had work done there b4 and warranted for 12 months or 12000miles.. Instead I get a nasty call from Mark saying no warranty due to title transfer on truck. Even though paperwork or invoices do not state non transferable warranty. I was referred to this shop by a reliable source however I called to get a quote (or at least an estimated starting cost) and make an appointment for a heater grid replacement....kit plus labor pretty straightforward. The service estimator was long winded and didn't fully understand the issue and request. I called 3 days in a row to follow up (speaking with the estimator each time) with no luck. It's been almost 2 weeks and still nothing. I finally had to move on and find a different shop. Wishing I had a better experience. This shop probably does good work but the service side needs some help...couldn't even get in the door to try them out. Still looking for a good diesel shop for my regular maintenance if anyone has any suggestions. read more

Buds Diesel is awesome and honest! I had another shop tell me I needed to replace my turbo so I took it to Buds and they found a bad sensor, replaced it and updated the sensor in the truck system fixing the problem for a third of the cost of a new turbo. Bud's will be my shop for as long as I have my truck. read more

I came to Bud's Diesel based on the number of stellar reviews, and this shop doesn't disappoint! I was quoted a repair at 2 other repair facilities, one a non specialist for diesel and the other the Ford Truck Service Center. Bud's knew the ins and outs of my 2006 SuperDuty 6.0 better than both, and did the repair for less than half. Same Ford parts and shop rate, just fewer hours. Huge savings. Being a first time customer they went through my truck and identified a few needed services and rated them in order of importance. Even pointing out 2 items I can easily address myself, which I am doing when the parts arrive. That reduced my 6 service items to 4, and saved me 3.5 shop hours. Do the math, it's a considerable savings. The service items recommended were items I fully expected given the mileage and lack of previous service. In other words, it wasn't BS up sale tactics that you often experience. When I picked up my truck it was nice not to see grease smudges everywhere, or dirty greasy foot prints inside! My go to for my 06' Duramax. Had a bad glow plug. Replaced it and also added a lift pump that I've been wanting to add. Easy peazy. I've used them for a coolant leak in the past as well. Replaced the thermostats and a hose and have been good to go since. I'll be back when needed! read more

Took my 2004 Super Duty 6.0 for a low boost code. They cleaned the turbo, install some nice heavy duty turbo/inter cooler boots and fix an exhaust manifold leak. So far have been very happy with the service, truck runs great. Nick also pointed out some maintenance issues that should be addressed. I declined those to be done by Bud's shop due to the fact that they are things I can manage myself and already had plans to do so.
