Vinh looked at it said need a transmission so I agreed to purchase a used one he put it in from day one car never ran had to keep bringing back every time we came to pick up he just got $5500 from me then said warranty was over also at same time I had him replace my engine transmission when I only needed a transmission paid over $6000 kept telling him was ticking never did anything said was oil paid $100 for oil change same problem then following month took in said was oil again did oil change kept over night next day text said pick up I said ok what was wrong with it said I don't know take it to someone or a dealer to diagnose & turned up his music & hung up in my face he is a very rude unprofessional mechanic that doesn't care about his customers just YouTube everything he does to fix customer cars read more

This is a long overdue review but I felt inclined to thank Vinh and his son Vincent for the awesome work they've done on my Tesla Model 3. So far, I've brought in my car for brake service, suspension upgrades (Eibach springs and KW coilovers), master brake cylinder, lower control arm, camber arms, sway bars, end links, carbon fiber body kit, you name it. As long as it's not battery related, Vinh and Vincent can do it. My review is just about their work on Tesla's but I can attest to the workmanship of their other customers like my gf who's had her Camry completely serviced by Vinh's shop. Fixed my transmission for less than another used car. I have a 2004 Honda Accord with 232,000 mi. The transmission blew up the other day and I did not want to buy another used car since I am cash poor right now. Mr. Vihn installed a used transmission for $2400 (a lot of money but you can't buy a decent used car for under $5,000.) Long story short my Accord was saved and I can keep driving! I absolutely love this place! After 10 years of driving and owning a car, I can finally say I've found a trustworthy auto repair shop where I know I'm getting the best service and the best deal. Someone hit and ran my rear bumper (the photo does not do it justice on how bad it was). I brought it in and Vincent knew how the car hit me and how fast they were going when they hit me (at least 15 mph!). He knew exactly what to do to realign my bumper and I couldn't be happier!! Of course my bumper isn't 100% back to the way it was because the person hit my bumper so hard that they broke some of the clips and hooks that snap the bumper back into place. Vincent did the best he could and I'm so thankful! He also found time to replace my headlights since both of mine burned out I highly recommend this place- you won't be disappointed!! read more

I haven't been back to see Mr. Vinh in a while now since we no longer live down the street from his auto shop, but I did have Mr. Vinh perform a number of services & installations on my 2013 Scion FR-S during the couple years after I purchased it. While Mr. Vinh is both knowledgeable and respectful, he is also friendly and pretty funny, too. And though he seemed pretty excited to work on my lil wannabe rice rocket, lol, Mr. Vinh was also very careful since my FRS was a lower profile car than most vehicles he was servicing in his shop at the time. For example, before he installed my newly imported Milltek Sport header-back resonated exhaust back in May 2013, Mr. Vinh asked to first inspect the entire undercarriage prior since the 2013 FRS was a new model to the Toyota/Scion lineup--and the first he'd seen in his shop since its release. Additionally, Mr. Vinh was always up front about any work on my car probably taking longer than his other customers' vehicles, but he also never charged me for his extra time/labor since it was by his choice to work more slowly and carefully on my car. Being that my FRS was my first new car--and also my first foray into aftermarket car modifications, too, I was really appreciative of the care and additional time that Mr. Vinh always took whenever he worked on my car. To speak more to Mr. Vinh's integrity, when I first purchased new aftermarket wheels & lower profile tires for my FRS and came to him, he told me right away that he would be unable to perform the installation at his shop due the low profile of my car and made sure to inform me to seek out an installer with more appropriate equipment. I have nothing but great things to say about my multiple experiences with Mr. Vinh's time and automotive expertise. And I'm sure if we still lived down the street from his shop, we'd still be seeing him for any of our automotive maintenance, repair, and/or installation needs. read more

This review is long overdue ! I'm writing this review because it's not every day that you come across a mechanic for the first time & know that they are honest & can be trusted. I had originally come here for a complicated electrical issue I had with my Honda Civic (2006). I learned later that this on-going issue was caused by a reversed polarity from a bad start. I took it here to get a diagnosis on my ABS & got the problem fixed for a very fair price. The nice part is that, after all that, the man there was asking me about my previous issues with the car & willingly looked at the car again, educated me on my fuse box & actually got rid of an additional horn problem I was having, there on the spot. I got into a major collision on the freeway and ended up spinning out and hitting my front-end into an SUV at 60 miles per hour. My front bumper was split on the left and hanging, the driver-side fender was mangled, the driver-side headlight was obliterated. I ended up just looking for body shops near my cousin's house because there are a lot of automotive shops near him and two body shops gave me a $1,500 estimate just for my bumper and fender. Other shops claimed I needed a new bumper because Bondo was eventually going to crack due to the severity of the damage. Arriving to Vinh's shop, I see him and his son working on a customer's car with their dog laying outside. This shop is fairly small and I didn't have high expectations, to be honest. I thought Vinh (the owner) was barely hanging onto the shop. He gave me a $600 estimate as long as I provided new headlights and me being on a budget; I took it in an instant. I didn't have high hopes for the repair and thought it would be a crappy job. After a week of waiting for my car to be fixed up. It came out gorgeous as hell. Vinh and his son fixed and painted an extremely messed up bumper, fender, installed headlights, and EVEN repainted my crappy DIY grille; ALL FOR $600! If you're on a budget and you've been in a collision like me. Definitely hit up this shop. It'll actually surprise the hell out of you and you'll leave extremely satisfied. Vinh has been in the business for decades, don't let the shop judge his skills. He's an expert. A gem. Now granted, this is, after all, a $600 fix. My grille ended up bubbling up after 6 months. I can hardly complain because I did sort of rush him. The paint doesn't have as much clear coat or shine as OEM paint and it does stand out if you look closely. But if you're driving or standing 10 feet away. It's HARDLY noticeable. Maybe a couple more bucks or a specific request and it'll be very close to OEM. I have yet to come back to have him repaint my rear bumper and trunk. If you're looking for more mechanical fixes, I personally don't have experience with him on that but I'm POSITIVE that he's capable of working with wiring, leaks, cracked windshields, misfires, etc. read more

Mr Vinh owns this little shop and runs it by himself. He is very helpful and friendly, and was glad to diagnose my car, for which he stopped his other work and quickly checked my engine, which was squeaking very loudly. It turned out I needed a new alternator, since the bearings in mine were worn out. I did some research into alternators, and decided that his price of $250 was reasonable for parts and labor. I don't know very much about cars, but alternators run $90-$150 for my car, and plus cost of labor for a nearly two hour job. After replacing the alternator, we found that the air conditioning unit was also squeaking, so he called up another shop to get a new belt for it, and had it installed within 30 min (including the delivery time), which fixed the squeaking entirely. For that he only charged me the cost of the belt. Prices were reasonable, in the range of other shops around here, but I was brought here by recommendation of AutoZone, and I am pleased with the service and work. Total cost was $250 for alternator replacement, $30 for oil change, $20 for new belt = $300 I also found out that he gave me full synthetic oil since he was out of regular oil, but still charged me regular price. I would come back again, and would definitely recommend this shop. read more

Update! A year later, I notice the bumper began to sag. I had a hunch that he was cutting corners when he fixed my car or he did something really WRONG to my car. I finally took it to a shop to have it checked out. This is what a professional told me: First of all the car wasn't even squared correctly so none of the parts could fit. You know what he did to fix that problem? He used a lot of washers and screws to forced everything to fit. He didn't even weld the metal together. He also didn't apply anything to prevent corrosion so everything was already rusted. There was a lot of missing pieces....Which explains why the bumper is sagging! Eventually it will fall apart. If I get hit again at the same spot, the damage would be much greater. This is a safety violation and also insurance fraud. read more

Never in my life have I encountered such a honest mechanic who is clearly not trying to take your money. i went to buddys auto who tried to scammed me with so many option with $3500 then later $6700 and the last one to change my engine 15k for just to sell me the old engine cause my friend put diesel in my car but when I called vinh he towed my car and paid then fix everything i'm so happy to pay him and now I have my own mechanic read more

Gave me wrong diagnosis for my car. Also tried to charge me nearly triple the price of for the required auto parts. Not to mention the labor for something that literally took less than 10 minutes. I was clueless before but after seeing how I was charged nearly 7x the part price +labor I am never coming back. Mr. Vinh is awesome ^^ its not a super duper big place he has BUT that means less distractions of other customers and more detail to yours. He treats his customers cars like they are his. I came in first to reattach my front bumper (i was actually planning to get a whole new bumper but he told me not to waste money and fixed it!) and he actually tweaked up my car with little things like a lil extra oil and minimum money usage. Vinh and his young son were very efficient. I was there for an oil change and a brake inspection. They did that in under 30 minutes. It turned out that I did not need to change the brake yet. The price for the synthetic oil change was $40, which was fair. Will come back. read more

Just like the previous yelper said. Vinh runs this shop on his own. He's very friendly, nice and tries to educate you about the issues with your car. I'm always hesitant about new mechanics but he came highly recommended. I needed to get my temperature coolant sensor fixed and the regulator on the passenger front door fixed. Very helpful to get your business doesn't put anything in writing so prices will go up He rushed my front end body work I only brought the car in for an estimate before going elsewhere he insisted I leave it with him quoted one price then called me on phone a couple times in the end raising it over 200 dollars more he did a very shoddy job screws were replaced with double back tape he left off rubber parts and the bumper has become very loose When I took it back to get it fixed he acted annoyed in the end I did it myself last thing I had him fix was a cam shaft pulley he complained and whined the whole time. When I left the shop the belt was squeaking he had made me so uncomfortable I got it fixed at another shop rather than return to his turns out belt was loose. In my opinion never let him do bodywork you'll regret it and only take engine work if it's an emergency then be sure to get it in writing. read more

Vinh will get your vehicle up & running. My kid totaled my truck and Vinh brought it back from the dead for a fair price to include straightening the frame. Advised him the engine light is on however. Said, 'that normal; don't worry..' Brought in a Honda; it needed its timing belt to be changed.. work completed. Advised him the engine light is now on however. He said, 'that normal; don't worry..' My kid, (the one who totaled my truck) bought a car from him while I was out of the state on business. She took me for a test ride upon my return. Hmm.. I told her, did you notice that the engine light is on? We drove by his shop and showed him. He replied, (yeah, you guessed it) 'That normal; don't worry! Let car warm up for one-minute; use premium gasoline!' So I just bought a used Mercedes, but, I'm feeling a little bit left out because my engine light has yet to illuminate.. read more

Mr. Vinh is a very nice guy and seems to be pretty cable, but he's extremely careless. He was recommended by a friend. First, I had Mr. Vinh replace my A/C compressor. He obviously doesn't have a freon recovery machine and so he released all of the freon into the atmosphere! Highly damaging to the ozone layer and very illegal. Within seconds after I drove away after the repair, the compressor was making intermittent grunting noises. I was hoping that it would go away, but it kept doing this for several days, and the A/C was getting warmer the whole time. I took it back and he said he had to relieve some pressure. It's been OK since, so I had him replace my struts. There was clunking from the suspension for several days, so I took it back. He forgot to tighten all the bolts! A couple of months later I needed to remove the wheels to replace my brake pads. THREE of the four wheel nuts were cross threaded by careless use of an impact wrench AFTER I had a discussion with him about this issue and he acknowledged that it was necessary to start fasteners by hand before using an impact wrench. I had to break three studs to get the wheel off.. Fortunately I had another car to drive while I went to the dealer to get parts. His pricing is really reasonable, but not worth the damage and aggravation. read more
