A and M Tool Repair has our pneumatic drill now for over 6 months and will not return our calls or our drill. Unacceptable.

The place is hidden behind a large fence and though I've passed it a bunch of times, I was…read moresurprised when I found it. My string trimmer was beyond repair and when I decided to look for a new one, Stihl was the brand I wanted. The salesman at T&I was incredibly helpful in explaining the various models and features. He explained Stihl and how they operate, the value of the dealership, and answered the few questions I had. When I'd made my decision, the salesman filled it with fuel, explained the operation of the trimmer, and demonstrated proper use before loading it into my truck. I'm glad to have found this local shop. The folks are helpful and they carry all you might need to care for your yard or acreage (tractors too).

Cannot recommend these guys for on-site service…read more I had a John Deere riding mower. I had a broken steering assembly and wanted to replace the rear tires because of a flat (I already had the replacement tires). All in, about $250 in parts. That's not the problem. The problems started when they missed three scheduled appointments. Straight up no-showed. After the first two no shows, they apparently parted ways with the tech -- but, he had the parts so they missed the third appointment. I learned of that after they cancelled the appointment the day of. When they finally arrived they made the repairs (+ basic service on the lawn mower--I provided the service kit - but I figured they were there, might as well have them do it), but the tech indicated they'd need to use a tire shop to mount the new tires. Tech would come back the next day. He did, and I didn't think much of it at the time. Two months later, I finally got the invoice. First, despite never sending the invoice, they tried charging a financing fee because the invoice was pending for the two months they never sent it -- even though I could not have known what to pay until I got the invoice. Second, the invoice was not itemized. But, ultimately, to replace a $250 part, do the basic service, and change a tire, they were charging $3500(!). I think that's more than the cost of the original mower. When I finally got an itemized invoice, I discovered they charged me $1300 to pick up the tires at the shop, bring them back, and install it on the mower + $133 from the shop to actually mount them. That's more than 5 hours of labor to drive 20 miles each way to change a tire. Obviously, if anyone knew that would be the cost, they'd just do it themselves. If you have to use them (I know, with California not selling non-diesel mowers any more you may have to repair), expect delays, get a written estimate, and expect they will overcharge. But, I'd try and find another option first.
