I refused to pay for a fix and came back out and removed the cap. My tenant then did the exact same fix himself for a couple bucks in a couple of minutes. Then they quoted me $450 to actually fix the problem. I bought the part myself, and my tenant -- with zero appliance repair experience -- looked up a how-to video and installed it in under 20 minutes.
