This was a fix I had done previously on my refrigerator for about $45 by myself. The job they did for this insane fee was performed because the technician couldn't speak English so he could not explain to me what the problem was, so I went with them on a bit of faith that it was an issue I could not handle. After the job and all this crazy thievery, was when I realized it was something I could have done on my own for HUNDREDS of less dollars. I waited to write this review until the manager called me back, which he did FIVE days after I asked to speak to them and then had to ask again. And, the larger companies seem to only be able to provide a day, and then don't give a window until the evening before, if they even fit in the window. After three failed attempts with a more "well-known" company, I finally gave up and began a new search. Online, Jason gets great reviews for his knowledge, responsiveness, and fair pricing. For me, I always look for an owner operator, and will generally move on once an owner "migrates" away from being an operator in the field. Jason actually answered his phone when I called, gave me a range of days/times that worked well, and then followed up. While he isn't the guy that came out, the other guy has been working with him for a few years, was friendly, knowledgeable, and diagnosed the issue with my leaking washing machine within a few minutes. Fat-forward to a couple of days later: the machine leaked again, so I called them back. They came back out at no charge to see if they could re-diagnose, but no issue was found. Since then, it hasn't leaked again. I threw the guy some $$$ for making the trip back out, mostly because his attitude was still positive and they weren't going to charge for the travel. Bottom line, a fantastic first experience with JB Appliance, and I'll happily recommend them to all of my clients and colleagues.

Frustrating beyond belief. I called Universal Repair because they had very good feedback ratings. Lo and behold, the positive feedback was just what I experienced. I was given a next day appointment by Valerie, with a two hour window. Dmytro showed up right on time! He didn't mess about. He went straight to work diagnosing my problem. Then he did his magic and suddenly my refrigerator was working like new. Dmytro showed me the condenser and it was disgustingly dirty. He cleaned that up to like new. Not only did Dmytro repair my water problem,he left my refrigerator in better shape than it had been in years. Dmytro gave me a price which sounded justified. And accepted my check in payment.
