I generally don't leave reviews for companies, but I needed to make sure the world knew about Ron and A & R Garage Door Repair!! We had a horrible experience with a competitor company that came out to do a spring repair, and they ultimately ended up causing permanent damage to our garage/door, and we had to have a whole new garage door installed after calling A & R to come look at the previous company's repair work. Ron and his company were a blessing: we were going to be severely overcharged by the other company for less than half the work (and INCORRECT/DAMAGING work), and thankfully Ron is an honest business person who did an amazing job with our new garage! Had we stayed using the competitor, we would have been overcharged over 60% for horrible work, and ultimately would have been continued to have been taken advantage of and lied to and told we were "crazy", that it was an "optical illusion" that their work was done wrong when anyone with eyeballs can see a garage door that is tilting to the side is faulty work: thankfully, Ron actually knew what he was doing and helped us get out of the nightmare/shoddy/horrible experience with the competitor!! read more

All of a sudden my garage remote would not open my garage door so I checked bbb.org and saw A&R with A+ rating so I called. Ron originally gave me some free advise over the phone; I tried it but still didn't work so he came out the next day; quickly diagnosed the issue and offered to install a new much needed opener replacement but it was after 4:30 pm so I opted to have him come out the next day for final repairs. He was timely; honest; informative; courteous and got the replacement installed in a short period of time; suggested to change the rollers and now I have a smooth opening whisper quiet garage door opener. I would call Ron again if necessary as well as give my recommendations for people to use him as well We've got to keep the small family owned shops in business. read more

Fraudulent Garage Door Company - A&R Garage Door Repair I chose to do business with A&R Garage Door Repair based on a review I found here on Next Door. Please save yourself the wasted money and time of doing business with Ron and Angel Cruse. After wasting 3 months and having to deal with way to many excuses, broken promises, messages and emails bordering on belligerent and making me feel like a fool - I've chosen to post this review. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. I am in the process of submitting the problems I have had to the BBB, Arizona Registrar of Contractors and everywhere I can to protect consumers like me who simply wanted to do business with a small business. I found this company on Angieslist, bought the $59 deal for installation of a keyless entry pad and complete door inspection, and started looking for reviews on Yelp. Before I even finished reading the 2nd one, Ron from A&R called me to schedule the service! They came out 2 days later, did all the inspections covered by the deal (along with putting in the entry pad), and pointed out to me some minor problems with the door. I ended up having them fix those problems, put on new rollers, repair a wiring problem, and completely grease and adjust everything else. I was only charged an additional $60! The total I paid was $119. They were prompt, efficient, and thorough, and only did work I authorized. They are now my 'go-to' garage door guys. read more

Completely amazing! I called them around 10am letting them know I accidentally (stupidly) backed into my garages door and it dented the door and knocked it off the tracks.. the man over the phone said he can squeeze me in between 3-5 today.. Ron called me when he was 5 mins away and arrived around 3:30. He did an amazing job! Fixed my door and help reduce the amount of sound it made and fixed the lighting attached to the motor. He gave a really good fair price and was finished within 45mins. I'm definitely referring everyone to this place if they ever need it. read more

You can't go wrong with this company! After reading other yelp reviews, I had Ron come out to fix my broken garage door spring. He was warm, helpful and informative throughout the whole process. He was able to come to our home within 90 minutes, did a full inspection and lubrication of the working parts. Within a short time he had completely replaced the springs on our opener! I cannot say enough good things about this gentleman and the integrity of this company. Michael and I were quoted thousands of dollars when our garage door wouldn't open by other companies. My garage door was failing, I contacted Ron through my trusty Handyman Louie. Ron was very responsive and fixed my Garage door by doing some basic maintenance and adding support.
