Came in just to check out this A&W. It's located in the Parkwoods Village plaza along York Mills Rd. I'm a fan of the A&W menu and love the root beer plus their new brand of coffee. What tweeted my interest was an outdoor patio that customers could enjoy a meal plus soak up some sun. Very nice!

I mean it's a&w. It's all the same. All around. Service was fast. Food is better than McDonald's and the ambiance is the classic a&w Vibe

For a fast food place, it takes over 5 min to serve an order of fries. And only one more person here besides me. They are not busy.

Absolutely the worst dining experience I've had in Toronto and I genuinely hope no one else goes…read morethrough what we did. I've been a loyal Grill Gates customer for years. The Richmond Hill branch has consistently served great burgers and pizzas, and I used to recommend it to everyone. Because of that, we decided to try the 4907 Yonge street location while we were in North York. I wish we hadn't. From the moment we sat down, things went downhill. We ordered two burgers -- Beirut and Gourmet -- with one combo. A few minutes later, the fries arrived. While we were eating, the waitress came back and asked us to switch tables. Not before ordering, not before food arrived, after our food was already on the table. We were told a group of seven had just walked in (no reservation), and because they wanted to seat them together, we had to move to a cramped table right in front of the reception, easily the worst spot in the restaurant. No warning, no apology, no professionalism. I have never in my life been asked to relocate mid‑meal so a walk‑in group could be accommodated. It was disrespectful and completely unacceptable. Then came the food and honestly, it was just as disappointing. The Beirut burger tasted nothing like the one I've had many times at Richmond Hill. The babaganoush was overwhelmingly salty, and the signature grilled cheese was practically nonexistent. The Gourmet burger was even worse, with a texture and taste that suggested the meat wasn't fully cooked. By the end of the meal, we were frustrated, uncomfortable, and honestly shocked at how poorly this location is run. Grill Gates Sheppard is nothing like decent burger house, not in service, not in food quality, not in basic customer respect. I would not recommend this location to anyone. As we say in Persian, I wouldn't even suggest it to my enemies.

It's kind of a funny story how I discovered Burger Park. I was driving on the highway one day,…read morespotted their giant sign, and thought, what is that? I remembered to look it up later and immediately bookmarked it. It was definitely giving Shake Shack vibes from the photos. I came with a friend around 6 pm, and parking was surprisingly easy thanks to the adjacent garage. They validate for 2 hours, which honestly makes a huge difference and would've otherwise been a deterrent. The space itself is cute and minimal, with a clean, modern feel. We ordered two double patty Park Burgers, a blueberry spice fruit shake, a strawberry sherbet fruit shake, and a regular fry with their house-made sauce. This meal was nearly perfect. The burgers were tender and juicy, with beautifully crisp edges on the smashed patties. Everything came out at the perfect temperature. I went with the default toppings, which were fresh, well-balanced, and generously portioned. The bun was soft and held everything together nicely. The fries were a pleasant surprise. I'm not usually a crinkle-cut fan, but these were crispy, well-seasoned, and paired perfectly with the delicious mayo-based sauce. The fruit shakes were probably my least favorite part. I was expecting something brighter and more tangy, but they leaned more mild in flavor. That said, the icy consistency was refreshing and would hit the spot on a hot day. I noticed they also offer cookies, which I didn't get to try but looked very promising. The place was quite busy, with a steady flow of dine-in, takeout, and delivery orders, but the service still stood out. We hadn't realized they use peanut oil, which was a concern since my friend has an allergy. The staff were very helpful, reassuring us that the burgers are grilled separately and even going the extra step to confirm the fries are cooked in sunflower oil. My friend was able to enjoy them without any issues, which we really appreciated. Overall, it's a bit out of the way for me, but absolutely worth the trip. I'd definitely come back if I get the chance.
