Large A&W Fast Food restaurant at the Branson Outlets. I like their root beer but the rest of the food is just basic fried fast food. We have tried the fries and cheese curds. Both were "regular size" but seemed pretty small size to me and cost $3-5. Prices are higher too but they do have an app and discounts via email. The burgers and hot dogs were terrible! My hot dog reminded me of boiled hot dogs and it had NO flavor. YUCK! The hot dog bun was pitiful too. The bun fell apart immediately, and the cheese sauce on top was nasty. It was like the artificial nacho sauce you'd get at sports arenas!!! Service was awful too. The staff suck at cleaning. I needed to find food for my digestive system and was running low on energy. A&W Restaurant was the only food place that was nearest to me in the Tanger Outlet. Service was pretty slow, and the restaurant tables and garbage cans were full and messy, but the staff were friendly and cordial. The fifties music was a nice change from listening to more popular choices, and the ice cream treats are still popular. The cheeseburger was about average in taste, but it worked to satisfy my food craving. I wonder if I could order a kids meal next time without being hassled of being over qualified? read more

Stopped in after doing a bit of shopping in the Tanger to get some quick food. My bf got 5 chicken strips and a drink and I got 10 corn nuggets with a drink. He said his chicken strips were "ok" my nuggets could have used a few more minutes cooking. The lady that took our order was kind of rude and snappy. I was going to get root beer from the tap but it was awful I had to pour it out. Most of the drinks on the soda machine tasted like they had no carbonation and the counter was quite sticky. Seriously thought what kind of A&M's restaurant has bad root beer? Our total was $27 even and for the amount of stuff we got it should have been a lot less you can go to zaxbys or slim chickens and get a whole meal with 6 large strips for the same price you get for only 5 small strips here. Food is great here, but I'm astounded by how the customers are treated. We came to the restaurant at 6:25 pm. We're told they had no ice cream because the machine was being cleaned. We wanted root beer floats. Cashier said she started breaking down the machine at 6 pm and even (unhelpfully) suggested that we should have come before 6 pm. Thanks, no thanks. She said that they close at 7 pm. As we're sitting here, we saw a family of 3 come in then walk out because they were told, too, that they are not serving ice cream. We overheard them saying that they drove 5 miles to get here just for the root beer floats! So, that was lost sales for one party. It's now 6:36 pm, and we witnessed a family of 4 adults enter. As soon as they stepped foot through the doors, the cashier hollered from the counter, "We're only serving fountain drinks. No food. kitchen is closed." Who yells from across the room? What kind of way is this to greet the people who pay your paycheck and the restaurant's expenses? The family walked out. So that was another party of lost sales. What kind of restaurant closes their kitchen 30 mins before closing time? And closes down their ice cream machine an entire hour before closing? At this rate, this outlet of the iconic brand of root beer won't be here much longer. I'd be curious to know what the branch manager has to say about these observations. read more

Times are tough because of Covid, but how does A&W ROOTBEER run out of rootbeer?! They should, at the very least, have a sign on the door or give a discount. We don't have an A&W near our hometown, so we were excited to come enjoy a float. Disappointed! read more

Food was not good. When I walked in they just stared and didn't say anything . When I finally got my food I sat down and they will just stare at you while you eat. I had ordered and hamburger, crispy chicken sandwich, and a chili dog. The hamburger tasted like a sausage patty. The bacon was microwave . The chili dog wasn't even a chili dog. The meat it self tasted like sausage also ever time you bit into it grease would just come out and it made the bun all soggy. And the chicken sandwich wasn't even a chicken sandwich. They gave me dry chicken strips on a bun and gave it to me. Wouldn't recommend and never going back. read more

Greasy American food at its best! Do you want to feel lethargic the rest of the afternoon? Perhaps you would like to get an extra large soda. Either way A&W will do the trick. The food here is always freshly fried and the staff are generally friendly. It is always busy and the patrons do not seem to be self aware of anyone else but that is a standard for Branson tourists. Their root beer is always fresh on tap and when they have it the cheese curds are a great snack! If you are wanting a respite from the shopping experience you are not likely to relax her but you could take your food just outside if weather is willing to get away for a minute. read more

This is the only place in this very busy mall to get lunch, besides a weird sandwich shop that has old sandwiches. They are priced like they have a monopoly, which they do. I bought food and they wouldn't even spot me a cup of water. They said I had to buy bottled water or a soft drink. The food was lame even for fast food standards. Food options are extremely limited in this area other than an odd sandwich shop and this A&W. I would recommend eating a meal before shopping here because this A&W was terrible. Quality of food is definitely not in line with other A&W restaurants and service is not good either. Tap water is unavailable so be prepared to shell out $1.25 plus tax for water... which you'll need plenty of for their over salted, fried garbage. read more

Doesn't it take away from the whole customer service thing if you disappoint every customer that walks in the door. I felt like he should have a sign or something. Great food!!! The food here is fresh. For all those people who complain about water, there is a water fountain that they suggest going to!
