I called them regarding the flapping rubber thing on the bottom of my front windshield that connects the windshield and the hard plastic protector that connects to the hood (not confusing at all). Angela told me to stop by and she'll help me slip the rubber thing back. It took her 5 minutes and it was done and didn't cost me anything. Excellent service! Unbelievable response times, all exactly as they said. I contacted AAA insurance. I have glass protection on my windshield. They referred me to a couple of vendors. I chose the A+ auto glass in Mountain View to come to my work and install the glass. on 12/17, AAA transferred me to A+ glass and scheduled me for service the next day, today. They said they would be here between 12 and 3 pm, they arrived at 1:15 pm and started to work on it. In about 40 minutes they were completed and done. Fair price, great service. I must admit I was a bad customer. It looks like after they replaced my windshield everything started breaking at my car. Service light came on and the remote opener stopped working. I called them complaining that something is bad with the installation. They were SUPER polite and professional. They ask for some time to find out and called me back. They called the VW dealership the find out what can cause these issues and how the windshield replacement can cause it. Bottom line: it was a coincidence that on the same day the service timer light came on and the battery on the remote opener drained out. The spiral crack that resulted from a metal grid slamming into my windshield now was completely replaced with a new windshield. + They accept credit card, cash and ATM. A rock flew up and hit my car on 101 two days ago, leaving a pit on the windshield. So I filed a glass claim through my insurance company and chose A+ because of the Yelp reviews. The next morning, they called to make an appointment and were able to schedule me for the morning after that. Bill called 10 minutes before arriving at my office. When he called again, he had already found my car and was inspecting the windshield. I showed him the pit, and he said, "hmm, that looks like just a smudge ..." and wiped it off. Then, he proceeded to wipe the whole windshield clean with glass cleaner, revealing no pits or cracks whatsoever. Needless to say, this was very embarrassing. I apologized profusely, but Bill was smiling, gracious, and even more friendly about it than when he arrived. He took a photo, wished me a good day, and went on his way. These guys are pathetic. They outright lie, and then when you call them on the lie, they totally change their story to contradict the earlier lie!! Conversation: They started with : "With Tesla windshields it would be OEM glass because this windshield is not available anywhere aftermarket and I would have to email Tesla for pricing and availability on the glass for you." Then after i pointed out that there WAS aftermarket product, they disagreed: "Unfortunately from what we know that is not the case and we can not get the glass aftermarket." Then after i pointed out the exact aftermarket vendors (Fuyao and Pilkington), NOW they say: "We don't believe the aftermarket glass is a good replacement on a Tesla." So, they were just lying before when they said aftermarket wasn't available, BUT NOW they are an expert on the quality of the aftermarket alternatives, even though they just said they didn't know they existed??? hahhahahhahaha.....good one! . read more

A+ Auto Glass offer Dealer Authorized glass. Safelite does not. 2. A+ Auto Glass was able to schedule an appointment for the next day. Safelite said they could come out in 2 weeks. 3. A+ Auto Glass is LESS EXPENSIVE than Safelite. 4. A+ Auto Glass gave me a 4 hour window. Safelite had me waiting from 1-6... and still didn't show up. But the bottom line... they SHOW UP WHEN THEY SAY THEY WILL. Everyone at this company was a pleasure to do business with.... from the receptionist, to the wonderful ladies setting up the appt, to the guy who came out and fixed my windshield. My 2016 Porsche Cayenne Turbo had a bullet size hole in the front windshield. I called various dealership and they said the front windshield would have to be shipped from German; which is would any where from 12-16 weeks. I called A+ Auto Glass, gave them my VIN, and within 15 mins Angela called me back with a Porsche OEM front windshield price and next day installation availability. The tech came out next day and was on time after receiving the part. The installer definitely knew his way around a Porsche and the various components attached to the glass. He was through, clean, efficient, and made sure everything was precisely lined up and sealed. I couldn't ask for a better result and within roughly an hour it was complete. Ever have one of THOSE moments? Where something happened for no reason whatsoever and you have no effin clue why, where all you can do is exclaim WTF, WTH, GD, MFer in all worldy dialects possible? Like fer instance - the right kneecap area of your skinny (or junk in the trunk) jeans starts to form a little wire-mesh about 1/4 the size of your pinky fingernail. Then a few days later it grows bigger, and next thing you know you have a natural set of torn jeans. Depending on your professional attire, that pair of jeans can't really be worn to work anymore. - your significant other breaks up with you via a post-it. Luckily this only has happened to the one they call horse-faced on some HBhO show. - this Canadian Bachelorette gal who seems to keep picking the creeps, the dudes who have hidden agendas, maybe have a double life, while letting go potentially solid nice guys that maybe 5 million other TV viewer women want to bone and thump n' hump? and last but not least - you drive around and don't notice, then suddenly your windshield looks like it got hit by a pebble. No, perhaps it was a stray bullet or a .22 airgun...or hmm maybe it was a hummingbird or a bumble bee laced with adamantium exo-skeleton like Wolverine. The little crack or dent in the windshield looks like bird poop at first, then the worst happens...a 6 inch hairline fracture. And next thing you know that factory windshield that was supposed to protect you crumples apart like a politician's career from infidelity. Either way, it makes you go WTF, WTH, MFer. $$$ is involved. And these days $$$ is tight. So in Mountain View I needed to get this thing replaced in a jiffy. The nearby Toyota dealership wanted $1200 for part and labor! WTF, WTH, MFer etc. But A+ Auto Glass gave it to me for about 20% of that price for a non Toyota branded part, cheaper than the competition nearby, and in Sunnyvale, Santa Clara, San Jose. They provided an accurate quote, a precise timeframe, and came to my work's parking lot. And took care of business and me. Not only were they on time but within 10 mins of the window (counting from 0!) Comcast, PGE, and other places can't even pull that off. The job was done, brand new windshield. Good price. My windshield met with a golf ball while driving down 237 through Sunnyvale golf course. I initially called my insurance company to get a replacement and they forwarded me to their preferred glass company, Safelite. However, their locations either were not convenient or their availability was days to a week out. I found A+ here on Yelp and they were great! Their pricing is comparable to Safelite. I called later in the afternoon of my incident and they had availability to meet me at my office the very next day. Their installer, Edwin, called me in the morning to see if he could come by earlier than our scheduled time, and he replaced the windshield in about an hour. Highly recommended! read more

Called on late afternoon and got appointment for the very next morning! They even called my insurance to take care of the switch from insurance suggested provider. The suggested provider could only get me appointment the week after which prompted me to look for another shop. The appointment was a 3-hour window and the repair guy called about 1 hour into the time slot with estimated arrival time. He came about 10 mins early and spent just 30 minutes to replace my windshield. Very efficient and it looks fine to me. Couple things they mentioned during scheduling is that I will need to park my car somewhere with enough space to do the replacement and I can't drive the car 1 hour after installation. I parked my car next to a handicap spot and it was enough for the work. Would definitely use again in the future. read more

The worst part about living in San Francisco and working in Sunnyvale is the rain and wind that smacks you in the goddamned face when some troglodyte asshole lowlife piece of shit smashes your window and grabs your sunglasses out of your car. That said, A+ was there for me! I called them the morning my window was smashed and I had a new window by lunch time! They came to my work, installed the new window and were done in ~40 mins. Nearly a month later and everything seems to be ok. They managed to get the stain out of my headliner within a couple of days, but had to order the missing gasket part. In the meantime, my rearview mirror fell off the window (seriously.), so they had to come back and fix that too. I am pretty tired of the whole mess and hope it is finally over. To their credit, they were extremely pleasant to work with in getting everything fixed to my satisfaction (thus the one star upgrade). The work crews who came out were professional and friendly, and they made an extra effort to come out as quickly as they could whenever I had a problem. If I knew that I could deal with the same work crew who came out to my office multiple times to fix everything, I *might* consider using A+ again for a minor repair. However, the next time I need a new windshield, I'm going to pay the big bucks and get it replaced by the dealer. read more

A+ repaired a small crack in my windshield. They were prompt and efficient.

Extremely poor workmanship. I had to call them back 3 times to get a simple windshield replacement done correctly. The first time, they installed the wrong windshield. The second time back, they incorrectly mounted the rear view mirror bracket so that the mirror bracket faced to the right. I'm still waiting on the third visit where they say they'll get it right this time. They also have sealant from the windshield seal bleeding beneath the mirror. I'll update this again after their work. Well, they got it right after the third visit. i gave them extra star for being committed to fixing the problem. but really? 3 visits? read more

These folk have everything I hope for in a service vendor. I was referred to them by AAA insurance, because I had developed a crack across the windscreen of my 2004 Lexus RX330: * When I telephoned them, I did NOT get an annoying automated phone-answering machine. Instead I got a real person. * The person who answered the phone spoke fluent English, so I did not have to struggle with making myself understood. I know this is me being arrogantly monolingual, but this made for an unrepresentatively easy interaction. * The person who answered (Angela) was knowledgable, friendly, and efficient. She quickly identified what I needed, and scheduled a guy to do the repair at my house within two days. * The guy who did the repair (Edwin) arrived on time, not late. Angela gave me a 3-hour window and he arrived about 15 minutes into that window. * When Edwin had the old cracked windscreen off and was about to install the new one, he noticed a small scratch -- less than 1 inch -- right in the middle of the new replacement. He could have installed it anyway and I probably would not have noticed till after he finished, but instead he conscientiously arranged to go get another replacement instead. * Overall, Edwin was friendly, professional, unhurried, attended to details. * The VIN number is still visible through a perfectly-positioned little window in the shaded area of the glass. read more

F MINUS! F MINUS! F MINUS! I used this company at the recommendation of my insurance company to replace the windshield of my 2007 Toyota tundra which has a heated front windshield. This company brought the appropriate windshield to replace my truck's windshield but the installers stated that there were no wires on my truck's original windshield. So they cut the electrical wiring off the new replacement windshield and tried to cover it up with adhesive and then told me that the company purchased the wrong glass. I called the dealer and they confirmed via VIN that my truck has a heated windshield. I contacted A+ while the installers were still there, but they didn't respond. I have photos of my original windshield and the wires they clipped off of the new windshield. This youtube video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g0jC5B39jHQ) shows how it's supposed to be done. They didn't remove the cowling at all and so never saw the wires and just ripped the soft wires off of the hard contacts. I'm going to let my insurance company know so that they no longer recommend A+. read more

Angela in the office was professional and responsive and went out of her way to get authorization for OEM glass - even though I didn't meet the AAA criteria.
