    Brooklyn Bridge Pie

Ordered the Brookly Bridge Pie for my coworkers and I. Slices were pretty big and enough to feed a staff of 7. Pizza was tasty and my coworkers enjoyed it. Ordered take out and it didn't take long. Always looking forward to come back. Plenty of seating inside and it can get cold since it's in the shade and the doors are open.

Pizza slices were warmed and toasty. Got a pepperoni slice, veggie slice, and bread rolls! Price was very decent for what I got. Service was good and fast. My pizza slices were put in the over to re-heat and came out hot and toasty! Place looked like they were getting ready to close since they have a stack of chairs in one area. Nonetheless, I ate inside and left. P.S. I did see some area that needed cleaning.

I'm a frequent traveler and I luv to find the best pizza spots in walking distance from my hotel whenever possible( Marriott on 8th n B). This is the best pizza I've had in Downtown SD. Flavorful crust, quality cheese n meats( the meatball slice was hittin). It's probably my favorite buffalo chicken pizza anywhere. Right balance of sauces, cheese and skinless chicken pieces prepared in house. The quality of the brick oven really comes through in every bite.

The dough here hits that perfect balance - crisp crust with a chewy interior, topped with zesty sauce and luscious mozzarella. Highlights: *Flavorful and crisp pepperoni *Fluffy garlic knots *Reliably good cheese pulls Good to know: -Friendly counter service -Metered street parking available -Less crowded before 6pm to avoid dinner rush A dependable spot for satisfying, no-frills pizza done right. Exactly what you want in a casual neighborhood slice joint.

Perfect little spot if you need a quick, cheap, and most importantly delicious bite before seeing a show at the San Diego Civic Theater. 20 minutes before show time, I popped in and grabbed a $5 meat lovers slice...Having spent some time in New York City, I delightfully surprised that these NY slices had the little crunch in the crust while still being bendy...lovely. Generous on the toppings too! The sauce was sweet and good, but didn't have any "Wow" factor. Friendly folks working here, ambience is simple, casual and clean. Wish I tried another slice!

This place is our go to when we want to grab a slice of pizza and beer. They have combos you can get that make it even cheaper and the slices taste better than some over priced places in the area. Everyone is always friendly. We have never had to wait much to both order our slices and get them. They have limited seating, this is not a place you hang out for hours. The pizza selection is pretty big, they have something for everyone.

Pretty decent slices. Got here towards the end of closing and there was only one other person in front of me. The owner I believe was working and he was super chill. I took home 3 slices. One cheese. One pepperoni. One that had sausage. All of them were pretty good. Wasn't blown away. But happy I came. Tons of seating. Good enough for maybe 30ish people. Pretty standard setup. Parking is atrocious since it's downtown but it's on a corner and right in front of a trolly stop so that's clutch. There is a tv on as well

This is not New York Pizza the staff isn't considerate of your time so get ready to wait a long time, the pizza slice was over burnt and over priced. being from New York myself I can tell you folks label everything New York and its supposed to sell. It gets better when the owner I assumed emerges from the back he starts talking this language I have never heard. I asked him if the sauce was Italian home made : he tells me he ain't Italian and he was rude to me as well. When I tried to tell him they have flies on the inside of pizza display I got ignored so unless you want overcooked burnt pizza with flies stay far away from this joint it's not New York Pizza. The environment was loud TV and New York memorabilia everywhere hung but it's not New York Pizzeria they need to change their business name don't be fooled!!! Read reviews other places downtown that sell pizza more reasonable.

Brooklyn Pizzeria is located on the corner of 4th and C Street in downtown San Diego. They have a good selection of pizza by the slice at lunchtime and a cool brick oven to cook their pies in. Service was friendly and they seem to do a good bit of business at this location. They have a few tables inside for dining as well as some window bar type seating by each window. The pizza as definitely solid and had a good flavor. The only thing I didn't like so much was all the homeless people hanging around. It definitely takes away from the vibe of a good meal. All in all, thumbs up for food and service and thumbs down for atmosphere. Probably a better place to get take out from.

I heard they're going to start serving beer and wine soon as well! *Best 1st-timer options*: The Keeper (if you like it spicy) or the L.G.B.T. My favorite hot sandwiches are the Cali Cubano, B3, and The Keeper, while my favorite cold sandwiches are the Avocado Highway, L.G.B.T. (lettuce, gouda, bacon, tomato), and Caprese. My favorite salads are the Grapevine and Duck Cranberry. For sides I recommend the potato salad and tomato basil bisque. The aioli they use is to die for -- can't hurt to get a side of it with any sandwich! The restaurant is situated on the corner of Park Blvd. and Polk Ave. (more generally, it's on the strip of Park Blvd. between University Ave. and El Cajon Blvd.). There is usually a good amount of parking on Park Blvd. and Polk Ave., which is nice. The space has a simple-yet-tasteful modern design and interior, is always clean, with friendly and helpful staff. Great for lunch hour or a weekend date. Update: Came back today with my friend and we ordered the B3 and the Turkey & Cheddar Mousse sandwiches, plus sides of potato salad and cucumber salad, and a double chocolate cookie with pistachio and sea salt. Everything was really good, but the Turkey & Cheddar Mousse sandwich was the star of the show. The cookie was great too. We both agreed the potato salad could use some salt, but besides that it was a solid meal all around.

On the first visit, Zack provided exceptional care and attention while helping navigate food allergies. Zack took the time to carefully check ingredients, double-check preparations, and personally come back out to verify everything to ensure safety. That level of care made the experience feel genuinely welcoming and stress-free. The chicken sandwich was fresh, satisfying, and thoughtfully balanced. Juicy chicken, ripe tomatoes, creamy avocado, and a bright splash of oil and vinegar came together beautifully on Big Front Door's roll, which had a great texture and held everything together well. The flavors were clean and vibrant. A little extra salt would have pushed it over the top for a salt-lover, but that came down to personal preference rather than any shortcoming. A dining companion ordered the avocado sandwich and could not stop raving about it, praising both the flavor and the freshness. The outdoor seating area deserves special mention. The shaded space was perfect as I do have sun allergies, especially for anyone who prefers relief from direct sun. The care taken in food preparation added an extra layer of comfort and trust. The second visit somehow raised the bar even higher. Micah went above and beyond to accommodate physical ability needs with patience, attentiveness, and genuine kindness. That effort did not go unnoticed and made the experience feel deeply respectful and inclusive. The roasted chicken sandwich ordered on the second visit was phenomenal. The roasted chicken was tender, savory, and full of depth, elevating the sandwich even further. Adding a bit of extra salt brought all the ingredients into perfect harmony, making every bite more satisfying than the last. This sandwich has officially earned a spot as a new favorite sandwich. Big Front Door was amazing not just for delicious, thoughtfully prepared food, but for the people who work there. Zack and Micah created an environment where care, kindness, and respect were clearly prioritized. No moment felt rushed, dismissive, or uncomfortable. At no point did anyone make the experience feel like a burden or inconvenience. A sincere thank-you also goes to the team members who prepared the food. Even without knowing names, the care taken to keep guests safer while serving delicious nourishment was evident and deeply appreciated. Big Front Door comes highly recommended for the flavorful sandwiches, the shaded outdoor space, the welcoming atmosphere, outstanding customer service, and the genuine kindness shown at every action.

My favorite item has always been the Rustic Smash Burger ($12.95), and it was just as amazing as I remembered. It's consistently delicious and definitely the reason I'll keep coming back. Unfortunately, the Tuesday Girl Dinner special ($29) was a huge disappointment. The concept is fun, but the execution completely missed the mark. The drink was underwhelming, and the pasta was served cold and tasted like it had been tossed with watered-down jarred pasta sauce. The only highlights were the Caesar salad and the fries. Both were good, but nothing I couldn't have gotten just about anywhere else. I'll definitely return because I love the atmosphere, but next time I'll stick with the menu items I know and love instead of venturing into the newer specials. I had checked Yelp beforehand, and no one had reviewed the Girl Dinner yet, so hopefully this helps someone who is considering ordering it. On a positive note, our server, who was also tending bar, I believe her name was Jane was an absolute gem. She was friendly, attentive, and made the experience much more enjoyable.
