A+ burger is rightly named. This is my go to burger spot whenever I have the time and option for burgers. The servers here, even though they are just behind the counter, are super nice and do go above and beyond for their customers. I love that. They're so friendly and seem to genuinely enjoy helping others. There are many options to pick from, from a classic hamburger to a salmon burger or even a bulgolgi burger. I have yet to try everything on the menu but if it's your first time, I recommend trying their A+ burger first and going from there. It comes with a fried eggplant in it and it's surprisingly delicious and works very well with the patty. There are options of how you liked your patty to be cooked and the portion size is big. The fries are a separate order, but like the burgers, there are a lot of different options and combinations to choose from. This is also the only place I know of that sells fried green beans. I'm not one for greens but these are pretty good. It's limited street parking and it's only outdoor seating, so if you plan on coming here for dinner, bring a jacket. It's very cozy but no outdoor heaters in sight. The place is relatively small and easy to miss, so pay attention to your maps. A LOT of people order to go or for pick up but everything goes by quick so you're not waiting too long for your food. Highly recommend. read more

My delivery came pretty fast , less than 30 minutes. The portions are huge! My burger was a lot larger than I expected, and I thought I hit the jackpot of green bean fries because there were so many of them!! My cheeseburger was pretty good. The angus beef was well done as I requested and the patty was fresh. The bun had a slightly buttered taste, lettuce was ok and the thousand island sauce wasn't too overpowering tangy and strong like in a Big Mac. I will never eat a Big Mac ever again after trying it once to see what the big deal was and regretting my decision to purchase one. Overall, it was a really tasty cheeseburger. The green bean fries, however, were the bomb. I've tasted green bean fries from other places, and they just all seemed OK, and nothing spectacular or special about them. These green bean fries were superb! They had a slight crunch, and the batter's texture and taste was excellent, not too greasy or overly fried. Their burgers taste really good, I honestly loved it up until I got food poisoning. I went in and got the A+ and salmon teriyaki. The salmon tasted a bit in the charred side which overpowered a lot of the flavor in the meal. I was completely in love with the quality of the meat in the burger and the flavors were very balanced if you can overlook all the mayo they put on it. I rarely use Yelp to write reviews but this one is for a good reason. In light of hearing that rocket burger has ripped off A+, I think it's best for me to give my flowers to this businesss. It has been half a year since I've been because I barely go to this part of the bay (BART prices in this economy?! ) and scheduling conflicts in the times I'm nearby, but the last time I went here, I remember tasting the love and care put into the meal I had and I wanna share my experiences. I had just gotten off a grueling dance workshop at destiny arts nearby and thought I should support my friend's family business. Decided to try the bulgogi burger and fries even though the many options were screaming at me to pick them. That first bite was the juiciest bite I've had and I still remember it even today. The balance of sweet and savory was right for me. Granted, it was a lil messy to eat but when something smacks that hard, who cares?? Fries was also really crispy and tasted fresh, which is also a plus. Food-wise, that was an...A+ for me ahaaaaaa The place had some outdoor seating, which was nice and it was relatively spacious and I needed some fresh air. Ambience wise, it felt a lil cozy for me. I also appreciate how clean and up kept it was there, like I don't have to worry about slipping on grease or stare at a used napkin on the floor. A+ deserves all the love and it's flowers after hearing about the rip off that opened down south. When you talk about how a food is delicious, love and integrity should be a part of that conversation and I can TASTE the homemade love put into my meal. These intangibles cannot be codified and written into a piece of paper for one to just set up shop elsewhere and expect the same result. A food that lacks soul and integrity is imo, slightly worse than food that is disgusting. A+ is everything that knock off desires to be, and I wish the best and more customers for my friend's family who put their blood sweat and tears into running this place.
