    Tasty burger fluffy bun

I've been coming here for a while and finally switched it up from my usual OG burger to the Bulgogi -- and it was the right move. Bold flavor, perfectly crisp meat, and everything cooked just right. No long waits either, which is always a win. The experience goes beyond the food. Service is quick, smooth, and consistent. The music selection always hits -- a curated playlist that fits the space and makes you want to stay a little longer. What really stands out is the hospitality. The guy at the front genuinely remembers people and makes you feel welcomed every single time, like you're a regular even if it's been a minute. Great food, great energy, and even better service. If you're craving a solid burger and a good vibe, this spot delivers every time. Highly recommend. 10/10.

Berkeley Burger ($20) and fries ($5) - hella good but kinda pricey
    Rachel M.

The Berkeley burger was delicious, not too salty with a rich juicy short rib patty, truffle OG sauce, Swiss cheese, and fresh lettuce, tomato, red onion. Fries were a huge portion and hot n crispy. Burger was pretty big and I barely finished it. Inside is small with a few corner tables and counter seating. Service was friendly, quick and was even provided a generous amount of homemade ranch dressing when asked. Love dipping my fries in it! Only thing is the price is pretty high- $20 for just a burger with no fries!? My bill was $30 with tax and tips for just myself. That said, I'd come back if I had a burger craving and to try the sister Chimmelier Korean fried chicken spot next to it.

Price is a little steep, but really good smash burgers with good service. Onion rings and oreo shake are good too. Fries need work.

While in the shop for the Korean Fried chicken sandwich, the guy talked up the short rib burger and I have absolutely no regrets in getting one. The meat is tender and flavorful along with the cheese, pickles, onions and sauce on a sesame seed bun! Come on! Who doesn't like a perfectly cooked, seasoned and just juicy enough burger? Crispy edges too! Located on Solano Ave across the street from Andronico's and next to Peet's this is a great place for a just the right size burger. Absolutely yummy and I can't wait to have another one soon!

Services was good and quick. Very helpful when explaining their sauces. Chicken was super crunchy will need to go back again to try a different flavor, short rib burger had a lot of flavor too. Excited to go back and try more.

Oh G, omg the burger is so tasty! The restaurant is very clean. The cashier is very friendly. We got the single burger with fries. Toppings we got were: lettuce, cheese, caramelized onions, fresh onions, ketchup. The patty was delicious with lots of grill flavor, tastes very fresh. I shared it with my daughter, she is a VERY picky eater and she already asked to go back! I'm not a burger gal, but even i will be going been back to grab a burger from here. I would love to try their chicken sandwich too, as well as the street food goodies! Thanks Yelp for the opportunity to try out new places!

I came here on a Saturday afternoon to get some burgers and wings with friends! We had a whole big platter and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The place is small with only a few tables. The cashier was super kind and greeted us at the door though! He helped us recommend items to get, and gave us our food after ten-ish minutes. These burgers were pretty good! The bun is super soft, and I love the crispness of a smash burger. My favorite was definitely the bulgogi one, I loved the seasoning and the sauce it had. My only downside is how each burger was $15+, which is pretty hefty. Regardless, we had a great meal, and I would love to get the bulgogi burger again.

Oh G is an Oh no for me! I came here because their Oakland store had an elite event and I missed it because I was sick. Sometimes when there is a great restaurant the family opens another out post and sometimes that apple falls far from the tree. That happened here. But, I was obsessed with the idea of going, so when I saw that they had a store in Albany, I knew that I had my chance to go. And yes, I made the special trip up Solano Ave to visit. I parked and he waited in the car with our Costco haul while I went inside, placed the order and waited. He got a burger with seasoned fries. Why, I was told that they had a gluten free burger like the Oakland outpost does. It turns out, that isn't the case. I felt good because so many people were squashed in there in the kitchen and waiting in the dining area. It was standing room only and they had a constant stream of customers coming in. There has been a lot of buzz about them, undeserved, but read on. The store was nice and clean, but the service was very slow even though they had about 3-4 people in the kitchen. The operation looked efficient, but people were waiting for an extremely long time for their burgers. Which wouldn't be a problem if the burger was good, but... First strike, they don't have a gluten-free bun. The Oakland store does because someone from the store answered my question about this. I asked the question in Albany and a fellow customer answered that they probably do have one. Considering that Oakland did, I went. So no burger for me. I ordered the Wagyu burger for my husband and dropped $28 for the burger and seasoned fries. I had high expectations. Second strike, the burger was only OK. A quote from the hubs, "it's OK. I wouldn't take a special trip to get there." But there are burger spots that are further away he'd travel to. Also, when paying expensive steakhouse prices for a burger, I had higher expectations. It should have been much better than it was. And my husband will eat almost anything and like it, so that says a lot! Third strike, I got my hands on the fries and all I could taste was the sugar. This is worse than when Boss Burger would forget to season our fries, which they did a lot. Here not seasoning would have been a favor to us. My husband, who loves a good fry, pretty much left them in the bag. Which was good for me because I didn't get to eat dinner, so I noshed on them until I could get home and heat up a couple of breakfast sausages and broccoli. Never again! Not worth it. So, why the two stars, they didn't kill us and I wasn't glutened by the fries. So, I think they have separate fryers. But maybe not and I got lucky. I wouldn't be so upset, but the amount of sugar on them. They do have a Korean fried chicken spot and I wanted to come back to get some of the chicken for him to taste, but now they won't see either of us. See my other reviews about an amazing spot in Point Richmond with the best smash burger ever. Yes, they have a gluten-free bun and yes their burgers are amazing. This experience was the complete opposite. I waited too long for a burger that I couldn't eat and that my husband thought was meh...

I attended the soft opening on Friday evening.  It was fairly quiet on Solano Avenue that evening (probably due to school being out and folks travelling on vacation for the holiday season).  The order station is very near the door, and the place has 2 small tables (2 tops) and a long counter with seating for 8.  My wife & I ordered our food and sat down at the counter.  I ordered the Bulgogi burger and a soda while my wife chose the single burger combo (with fries and a soda).  Unfortunately, the milkshake machine wasn't available yet, so I'll have to get one on a future visit. After ordering, we sat down at the counter with our drinks.  Pretty quickly, our food came.  My burger was very juicy and extremely flavorful with 2 different types of sauces on it (aioli and bulgogi sauce) .  My wife enjoyed her burger and noted that the fries were very crispy.  On the counter, there were bottles of ketchup, mustard, tabasco and Tapatio along with small paper cups.  My wife doesn't like ketchup, so she appreciated the mustard to dip her fries in. Overall, we enjoyed the food.  During this day, only the burger menu was available, as the chicken side wouldn't be ready until the following week.  I will definitely be back to try the Korean Fried Chicken and hopefully a milkshake!

Really good food! Just, a bit pricey... My boyfriend and I were super excited to see a new Korean style burger joint opening up in Berkeley! I love ohgane kbbq (the mother restaurant of this burger place) and have heard a lot about chimmelier (the chicken joint from LA that also has food featured here). Upon walking in, the vibes are awesome. We were kindly greeted and the person behind the register was super patient and answered all questions we had about the menu, which was great. The restaurant is small with limited seating. We opted for a seat at the counter, with a view of the chefs cooking up a storm. We both ordered the bulgogi burger. I made mine a double and he made his a triple. We thought this would be a true style smash burger, so extra patties sounded like a necessity. We were wrong lol. When the staff brought our burgers, they were literally giggling and said they took pics because they think this is the biggest burger they have made yet. LMAOOOOO. The patties were thick. This was barely a smash burger which was unfortunate but the flavor totally made up for that! The sauce was fantastic and it tasted super fresh. Really was like a was eating bulgogi in my burger! Really juicy and perfectly cooked! also veggies on the burger were fresh. We both got combos so it came with fries and a drink. The fries were good! On the side we also got a basket of cheese curds and this might've been the best part. So salty in the best way possible, super melty, and amazingly crunchy. Like the cooler, better cousin of a mozzarella stick. So delish! We ended up spending over $60 for this meal, which was a stun. Would totally return and rethink how we order based on this crazy experience haha!

I was looking forward to eating here so my wife and I went for my birthday lunch. I wasn't disappointed. We had a bulgogi burger, OMG wings, and seasoned fries. Everything had really rich flavors. The ground short rib patty has a deep beefy flavor that worked well with the bulgogi sauce. The fries are peppery and crispy. The OMG dry rub on the wings was tasty. The wings are perfectly cooked - crispy outside and tender inside. There is more on the menu that I look forward to trying. The cashier was helpful with recommending the type of wing to order. She was really friendly too. I can't wait to go back!

    The extremely mid food

PSA: THEY DO NOT OFFER REFUNDS. EVEN IF YOU TOOK ONE BITE OF YOUR ORDER. As priced as it was, I was very disappointed in the food. We ordered the wagyu burger, cheese curds, and wings with galbi and honey butter and an Oreo milkshake. From the get go, the cheese curds were the best thing about this meal. However, the wagyu burger, specifically the O G sauce, made me completely lose my appetite. The honey butter chicken was very mid. The galbi was alright. The Oreo milkshake, however, was not good at all. Maybe there was something off with their milk, but the color looked like chocolate, and it tasted like paper. We did not touch the milkshake at all. Attached is a photo. Now this is where Oh G Burger deserves the one star; if not zero star review. When asked for a refund for the milkshake, I was shocked to discover that they don't offer refunds for food that customers obviously had a problem with and didn't touch. That's fine, but I was looking for any form of compensation. Me and the guy at the front ended up going back and forth for 10 minutes, about this 8 dollar Oreo milkshake that tasted like paper and was not touched, and at the end we reached an agreement (a vanilla milkshake which also had that same weird aftertaste but was better than the Oreo. ) I'm disappointed in the service , the management, and the extremely overpriced food. DO NOT COME HERE. -Update: I think there was definitely something wrong with the milk. When I got home and had half of the vanilla milkshake, I had issues with my stomach.

I dropped by this place on a whim, actually, I was planning on grabbing some fried chicken but went with a double smash burger instead, and I regret absolutely nothing. The patties were exactly what you might be looking for in a smash patty with just the right amount of thickness and plenty of crispiness and the fries had the perfect ratio of crisp and softness. If you drop by to grab a burger, make sure to buy a side of the pickled radish and the kimchi aioli. The radish will cleanse your palate between bites, and the aioli is perfect for dipping your fries in or you could go crazy and just drown your burger in it lol Finish the meal off with an Oreo shake and I assure you you'll leave a happy camper.

The burger was fresh and flavorful--you can taste the quality in every bite. The onion rings were on point too: crispy, not greasy, perfectly cooked. Dipping them into the habanero mayo gave it just the right kick. Definitely recommend that combo. The staff was friendly and kept things cool even though there were only two or three people running the place. The spot itself is small, just a few tables and chairs, with a little bit of Latin music playing in the background, which gave it a nice touch. When I first got there, it wasn't too busy, but by the time I finished, it was filling up. Walked around the block to stretch out, came back 15 minutes later, and the place was packed. What's also impressive is that their fried chicken sandwich was voted one of Yelp's Top 50 Fried Chicken Sandwiches in California, ranking #33 in the state. That's what I'm definitely trying next time. Final verdict: Great burger, great onion rings, friendly service, and a spot worth checking out if you're around University Ave in Berkeley. Two thumbs up from me.

What I don't understand is why I'm charged an additional $2.50 for the lettuce wrap when I'm not even getting the bun. If you're taking something away, what's the justification for adding an extra charge? I could understand a modest upcharge, but $2.50 for a few leaves of lettuce is hard to justify. I can buy an entire head of lettuce for about that price. What bothered me even more was that no one mentioned the charge when I placed my order. It wasn't until I picked up my food and saw the receipt that I realized I had been charged extra. Customers deserve to know about additional charges before they order, not after the fact. When I politely asked why there was a $2.50 charge, the employee simply looked at me and said, "I don't know." There was no explanation, no offer to ask someone else, and no attempt to address a perfectly reasonable question. That level of customer service was just as disappointing as the surprise charge. The burger was excellent, but this experience left a bad taste in my mouth. At this point, I don't plan on coming back. Or maybe I'll just bring my own lettuce next time. Better yet, just give me the burger without the bun, and I'll wrap the damn thing myself when I get home.

We went to Gather on Sunday 6/7/2026 for my aunt's belated birthday dinner. Since my mom made a…read morereservation in advance, we were seated right away. For our drinks, I had the Moonlight Blossom, my aunt had a glass of red wine, and my mom had a cucumber mint spritzer (mocktail as she was the DD). The moonlight blossom tasted similar to cherry limeade. The entrees we had were the mussels, veggie burger, and the chef's market pizza. The mussels themselves were tasty and appreciated that they were able to leave out the chorizo. However, I wish that they brought a spoon and there was more broth. I tried some of my mom's veggie burger and the red color from the beets made it stand out from the usual veggie burger. The fries tasted homemade. I had a slice of the pizza and while I like the ingredients themselves, the combination just didn't do it for me. The crust was good though! We also shared a green goddess salad, which was tasty. The desserts looked amazing but we had no room! Service was friendly and our waitress made good recommendations. Can park on the side streets or the garage. Restaurant was not noisy. Would come back to try other items, especially dessert.

There was no wait time and we were able to get a table. The server was very sweet. I am vegetarian and was looking for veg options. She went through the menu with me and helped me think through. I got the vegan spicy tomato pizza and my friend got the shakshouka. We also got some herbal tea to go on the side. The tea came out pretty quickly and tasted great. The food also came out pretty quickly. The presentation of the pizza was top notch and I could not wait to dig in. The portion size was adequate. The vegan cheese was yummy and the spice level of the pizza was just right. The pizza was packed with flavor and thin crust! My friend liked the shakshouka too. He said it was flavorful and tasted great! Over all, we loved this restaurant. The ambiance is very welcoming and they have farm to table concept. If you are looking for a nice restaurant with farm to table theme, look no further!

First Impressions: Barney's Gourmet Hamburgers…read more Mother/Son lunch date at Barney's Gourmet Hamburgers! Yesterday, while in Berkeley, we decided to try BGH for lunch. Honestly, I can't say enough about how pleasant our experience was. Located in Berkeley, I was able to find street parking with a 2-hour limit close to the establishment. Upon our arrival, we were greeted and given the option to dine inside or on the covered patio. Although it was beginning to rain, we opted for the outdoor seating for the ambience. The fire pit, heated lamps, and the umbrellas really set the tone for a relaxing dining experience. The boys ordered a plain hamburger with curly fries, chicken tenders with skinny fries, and Oreo milkshakes. I decided on the specialty western burger and a Turkish coffee. I was assured the kids' fries would be plentiful, so there wasn't a need to order à la carte. The food was delicious and flavorful with great portion sizes. Our needs were anticipated, kindness exuded from the staff as well as timely servicing. We dined uninterrupted but not neglected. We raced to see who could complete the word searches, rated our food, and enjoyed each other's company while watching the rain fall. 10/10 we would do it again.

The burgers looked really good, too (they are known for that, after all). Service was fast and fantastic! And the space is quaint. Love the frames and hardwood floors. Have to try the burgers next time....

Jupiter's been a Berkeley staple for 30 years and it's easy to see why. The two-level beer garden with the firepit and string lights is the whole vibe, and the church-pew-and-tin interior (it's an old livery stable) gives it character you can't fake. Came on a busy night, which is Jupiter's default state, and the service was still great. Ordered a personal pizza. Their wood-fired stuff is solid, not life-changing, but exactly what you want next to a house brew. Decent food, great beer, unbeatable atmosphere. It's a two-second walk from the Downtown Berkeley BART, so there's really no excuse. Student, alum, or just passing through, post up in the beer garden and stay a while. Some things don't need to change, and this is one of them.

Also, there's a ton of beers to choose from as well. We split a pizza and a salad and it was a lot of food. Sitting on the back patio is the best. Even better if you can sit close to the fountain on the shade side! Very chill, very lovely area to chat and eat. Our server was great. he was very friendly and open to any questions we had. Totally BARTable as well. If you plan to BART in, the closest stop is Downtown Berkeley. There's also plenty of garage parking nearby.
