Johnathan was contracted out by American Homeshield to assess our washing machine as specks of rust and debris are coming out in the wash. He came out and simply looked at it stating that he suspected corrosion as it was old, but that it was dirty. He did not take it apart or investigate it at all. Though he thinks it's "probably" corrosion he wrote his report stating it needed to be cleaned, collected his payment and told us to get a second opinion. He literally did nothing. And when followed up confirming what he said during the visit that he suspects corrosion, he said his report was written stating it was dirty and get a second opinion. read more

Jonathan is used by american homeshield. He does not do a good job of fixing appliances. He came to our house twice now diagnosing/fixing the refrigerator problem. Both times he says its "fixed" and leaves without confirming that its actually fixed. My assumption is that he is either incompetent at executing the job and following through or he is doing it on purpose to get more money from american home-shield for the multiple visits. read more

I was having a problem with my dryer and I contacted Jonathan. He came to my house several times before when he used to work for Sears and he always did a very good job in servicing my appliances. I called Jonathan and explained the problem I was having and he said it sounds like one of the drum rolls needs changing. On the day he came, he took the dryer apart and found the problem. One of the drum rolls needed to be changed, the exact fix that he gave me over the phone. He changed the drum roll, cleaned the inside of the dryer and also changed one of the belts and now my dryer is working fine. Jonathan is friendly, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. My experience has been very dissatisfied. It was a mistake to have listened to the person who referred Jonathan to me. I had an unpleasant customer experience with him. I called Jonathan, told him about my washer problem. He came with the part and quoted me a flat rate of $300. He fixed it and only gave me negative advice on my Maytag washer that I shouldn't use the features on the right side of the knob. He should have been honest with me and just tell me it was not worth to fix it from the very beginning instead. He took my cash and gave me no receipt. I was only able to wash 3 loads then it broke down again. This time it was the agitator inside the washer that was loose. So I called Jonathan again, he comes over, tells me I have to buy another part which costs another $150 not including his labor. Then he tells me that if I get it fixed its only going to last me a month. He already knew this wasn't going to last the first time so why did he fix it the first time? Just to take my money? I should have bought a new washer instead of having him fix it in the beginning. I wasted $300 just to wash 3 loads. I would highly not recommend his services! I got De Vera's Appliance Repair phone number from his white suv vehicle that I seen while driving in the Waipahu area 8 months ago and added it to my contact list should I ever need any repairs or service. Surely enough I called his office today April 18, 2024 at 8:35 am and explained to his spouse that my Whirlpool refrigerator were leaking water from the vents inside the refrigerator. She told to text my address to them than Johnathan will call me. So Johnathan called and text me at 12.01 pm today April 18, 2024 and said he will arrive at my residence in 20 minutes. So we introduce ourselves and shook hands and the impression I notice right off the bat that he is very polite, kind, good hearted man and very knowledgeable and very very experienced in his business. So we proceeded to my patio where the refrigerator is located. At 12:25 pm Johnathan started removing the panel inside the freezer and in less than 22 minutes de-iced/unclog the drains. He explained in detail of what the cause was and what to look for on back side of refrigerator which was like a cloud similar to fog. He also recommended that we purchase magnetic type lock to secure the freezer and refrigerator doors because with a one sided up and down doors the freezer door does from time to time open from the vibration when closing either door. Because I thought it was my grandsons leaving the door open but in actuality kids don't realize to close door slowly. They so in a hurry they slam the door and it pops open from the vibration. Johnathan told me Clarence Pinheiro and my spouse to go on Amazon and order two sided magnetic lock to secure the doors. (non key lock and non combination).
