They broke my cruise control and were absolutely disrespectful. They should go out of business.

My husband was working out at the park and someone stole his backpack with his only set of car keys and he was stuck for hours. TC was incredibly helpful on multiple issues that didn't even involve his services. He got to my husband way quicker than the time that was quoted and his attitude to help was very appreciated during a stressful unsettling time for my husband. He saved us a ton of money by referring someone who could get out to our house quick to replace the keys rather than taking it to the dealership. We really appreciate this kind of service and people who just want to help. Couldn't recommend A.C. towing more! read more

beware: do not use this company. besides the high rates their drivers are unprofessional, rude and don't know what they're doing. they were dispatched to help me wednesday may 19, 2021. they told me it would be 1 to 2 hours to get to me in lake forest, ca . i waited 2 and a half hours and they did not get back to me . i had to call back and they said they were not going to come until the morning. i had to uber home, spend more $$ . the next day they were late dropping my vehicle off in fullerton, ca. the driver was really rude and unprofessional. i asked him to put my drive axle back on , he refused. and yelled at me as i was trying to help guide him into my truck parking space at a safe distance. he then just parked my truck in the middle of the road at my storage blocking 4 other spaces. when i asked what he was doing he said, " what does it look like im doing dropping your truck." that was not the agreement. he was supposed to leave it in my space . idk how this company or driver has business acting this way. alot of room to park my truck in my space , they are 12 feet wide, plus a little extra space from the neighbors. the driver and company just has a bad attitude. read more

Most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. I live in San Clemente and have all my life. My neighbors and I really appreciate a commercial towing company conducting business in a residential area of San Clemente at all hours of the day and night. Dropping off vehicles. Picking them up with zero consideration for neighbors. Your office yard is in a commercial complex. Work there! Not in my neighborhood. Thank you for the lack of respect. read more

I am leaving two stars because I don't think being that jerk who posts one star is fair. However, I feel that two stars is being too nice. I realize that all towing companies are horrible and that regardless of where they are no one is going to have a great experience, but I had an exceptionally bad time at AC towing. Let me tell you why; Yes. I was in the wrong. I didn't pay my parking ticket and parked on the street. That was on me. I am 4 months pregnant and in nursing school, I have more on my mind than a ticket I need to pay. They gave me the list of steps I needed in order to get my car back. I followed all of them. They let me know when I came in that I still couldn't get my car. The sheriffs department is closed Saturday and Sunday and at 5 on days during the week. They towed my car on a Friday and this tow company had me running around in circles with pregnancy brain in order to run out the clock to pay extra money for a weekend charge. On top of that, they put a lien on your car after 3 calendar days of not picking up your car, and that's a $70 fee right there. Steve, however, did take that fee off for me which I am thankful and give him due credit. Upon receiving my car finally I noticed two huge gashes where they attached the car to the truck and a larger scratch on the side. I would have known if they were there before and they were not. I was charged an ungodly amount of fees ($322 for everything) and now my child will have significantly less things than he would have and my tuition payment will surely be jeopardized. To put the icing on the cake, as I drove away a light came on in my car that I hadn't seen beforeZ it started beeping so I pulled over. It was the tire pressure light. I had put air in them about a week ago and the tires are all new that I purchased in January. So it seems to me that they let air out of my tires. I don't know why anyone would do that, especially to a pregnant woman. That's just mean and cruel. So like I said, two stars is generous. read more

Saw one of A.C's trucks driving VERY aggressively on Avenida Pico in San Clemente today. I understand the need to reach a customer quickly, but as a local business you should respect the safety of our town. Speeding, tailgating, etc. in a huge truck with your company's name on it just isn't a good look. read more

BEWARE! This towing company just tried to scam my car away from me!! Went to pick up my car on 2/28 after an accident on 2/27. I was told that the car was "totaled and they would take my pink slip and dispose of the car for me." I asked how that could be as the car ran over a side walk. We went to the car to inspect and they said the oil pan was cracked and the car had no oil. The wheels were locked up and the car would not start. I instead payed $170 to have them tow it to my personal mechanic. Upon inspection he found the car would not start because they drained the battery. After a quick jump, the car started just fine. The wheels were not locked up and the car was full of oil. Every single thing they said was a lie in order to try and get me to give them my car. Do not trust them. Get a second opinion. I hope this helps someone else before they become a victim to these scammers. I have also reported them to AAA as they had a large AAA poster in their window. read more

Called for a tow at 4:30 in the morning, they showed up pretty quickly ,but there was a problem when I asked the guy to be careful of my axle boots not to tare them ,his response was dont be mad with me there going to charge you an extra $120 .00 which was cancelled do to change of destination, so I got down on my knees to look at where he hooked the chains up at , then he tells me l can leave right now your being unsafe and he left me on the side of freeway . He told me I had the attitude? I've been towed before and other companies have been great, I just wonder who leaves you on the side of the road and then drives by an hour later to see if your still there? read more

This was by far the worst customer service experience I have ever dealt with. Joan is a deceiving woman. I paid 300$ for my car being in the shop for not even a full day! (3 hours) Joan was confusing and I heard her tell a customer on the phone that all they needed was their license to get their car. This is not the case, she said you need your current registration from this year but my registration was from when I got my car. This makes no sense.. She told me the wrong address for the location and I spent 30 minutes trying to find it. Don't trust this company. Avoid it at all costs, I'm reading reviews and it seems like people have been treated worse here. Insane. They put me through so much stress. To be fair, the man I saw was helpful. He seemed to care and tried to help. Joan did say she would look at my online registration, but she became impatient while I was looking. I hope no one willingly tows their car here.. terrible experience. read more

Unprofessional and rude. Apparently if you are in an accident and your car needs to be towed they are one of the companies on the approved Orange County sheriff list to tow the car.My mom was in an accident and hospitalized so the situation is stressful enough. Her insurance company called and said we need to contact AC Tow and tell them to release the vehicle... they basically want blood drawn to release the car just so they can charge for storing the car.They want me to leave the hospital and go get a power of attorney drawn up in order to release the car to Triple A??? I had a copy of her drivers license, insurance card and a written letter signed by my mom to release the car. They could easily Look at the policy AAA provides and match it with the license plate or VIN!!! JOAN at AC Tow is unsympathetic and totally useless when it comes to helping. She says "oh, we can make sure we make this as difficult as possible for you" when I finally got down there, I found out the car was open and she could have easily gotten the registration out but she was to busy playing Tetris on her iPad. Therefore I had to leave the hospital to drive the 30 minutes to their yard. To make matters worse, even with all the documentation I had.... drivers license, written signed letter, copy of insurance card, she would not let me get my elderly moms medicine or walker from the vehicle.... scumbag. Filing a complaint with OCSD on who they do business with. Obviously all about sucking money out of individuals and insurance companies. read more

Professional and efficient. My car was stalled in the middle of a busy street. Called AAA and they sent A.C. Towing. Carlos was amazing. Before he started to deal with my car, he made sure that I was safe. He carefully and efficiently loaded my car on the truck and we were out of traffic and on our way. After I got home, I called A.C. Towing to thank them and to recognize Carlos' for his work. I spoke with Joan. She was pleasant and appreciative. This company has my gratitude and highest recommendation. read more

Horrendous experience! Extremely incompetent drivers and company! After I was involved in a collision in a parking lot, I was told that I would have to wait for 75 minutes for a tow truck (which was fine as it was a Sunday). The dispatcher agreed that the driver could drop the car off at the collision centre and then take me to my residence about an extra 10 minute drive. After waiting around 75 minutes a tow truck from AC Towing entered the parking lot so I waved them over to me. As the driver (Roman) approached he said that the truck wasn't for me and was there to unlock a car. I asked Roman if he could just not take me afterwards but he refused. I then received a call from my driver to say he would be there in 15 minutes...... 45 minutes later the tow truck came. On arrival the driver was shocked to hear that he would need to take my car and myself to San Diego (an hour and 10minute drive from where we were), he spent around 15 minutes on the phone with his boss or dispatcher trying to get out of making the drive to San Diego. When he got back into the tow truck he said that we would have to drive to a nearby school and load my car on another tow truck to take us back to San Diego. On arriving at the school I was shocked to find that the new tow truck driver, was Roman, the driver that had previously refused to take me. My patience was running very thin at this point and all I wanted to do was get home. We made our trip to the collision centre and as we approached I tried to confirm with him that he would then take me to my apartment. Roman refused to take me to my apartment and said he wasn't liable to do so. I tried to reason with him and asked him to call his dispatcher that had said that I would be able to get a ride home but he again refused. My cell phone had ran out of battery and told him that I have no way of calling anybody to get a ride now and pleaded with him to just take me to my apartment and again told him that it was only a 10 minute drive but close to an hour walk. He again refused and said there was no way he could take me home. I was obviously very frustrated and had some pretty choice words for him as I left the truck. He then watched me as I set off on my hour walk home. Needless to say I will never use this towing company again and strongly recommend anyone needing a tow truck to use another company in the area. read more
