Pretty decent place if you are looking for a quick breakfast near central park. We ordered the tuna melt (my fiance said it was great), fresh fruit salad (very fresh strawberries and blueberries), fresh oj (my favorite) and bourbon french toasts (tasted great but very big portion, wish I could finish the whole thing). Servers were nice but service was pretty slow. I recommend this place if you're looking for a cheap/small breakfast near central park. However, nothing really stood out about this place to us. We will not come back as there are many other options to discover in this city.

This was a strange place. Walked in after a day in Central Park, and as its conveniently located near the Plaza I thought it might be a nice place for coffee and lunch. It's very modern inside, but not exactly nice. And no one welcomed us when we came inside - so it was confusing if we should seat ourselves or order from the barista. I think this is part of a boutique hotel so the guests were mainly hotel guests. One star off for the confusion and strange environment. However, the latte was good (expensive at $5, and no barista design unfortunately) and the tuna melt was delicious and simple. It came with a side salad. It was all $14 after the 15% yelp discount. I would recommend for a lunch after Central Park, but if it's nice weather, I would take it to go.

Coffee place in Midtown, we came for breakfast and it was really good! The price is ok, we had some eggs, french taost, orange juice and lattes. Very very good, the service is a little bit slow but breakfast was delicious. Cafecito en Midtown, vinimos para el desayuno y fue muy bueno! El precio esta ok, comimos huevos, french toast, jugo de naranja y unos lattes. Muy muy bueno, el servicio es un poco lento pero el desayuno fue delicioso.

Bourbon French toast and their drip coffee

I read about the bourbon French toast and had to venture there. It's a small, contemporary place attached to a hotel. Was greeted right away and seated. I ordered my coffee and French toast and enjoyed watching the people walking by the storefront while sipping my wake up potion. The food came and it looked appetizing. There was enough syrup and fruits to have a little bit Of everything on each bite. It's enough of a serving to feel full yet not dreading a brisk walk after. I enjoyed the meal and the service.

What you might not notice is this 5 pieces of perfectly cooked apple smoked bacon.......amen

what can you say about this place other than the food is wonderful. from their signature French toast to the eggs and salmon. Small place and simple yet perfect decorations. we ate in a room where they could close it off from others. the French toast had layers and layers of flavor from the crusted edges to the blueberries and walnuts. the eggs and salmon simply melted in your mouth. the prices? totally worth it!!!

First time going to this cafe. It was a bit packed when I came in but by the time I left half empty. My friend and I both got the Thé du Hammam and asked for honey with it. It was delicious! I got the chicken caprese with a side of salad. It was nice and crispy with nice taste that wasn't overpoweringly flavorful. My friend got the pulled pork sandwich. He said it was really good and not too saucy. He only wish it had a toothpick in it or something so that it wouldn't fall apart so easily. Overall great place. 4/5 stars because the service could've been a bit better. Our table wasn't full set when we were seated and so we didn't have utensils or napkins... I would come again to try some other things on their menu!

I came here twice because of promotions on the Ritual app ($5 off). The first time, I ordered a latte with oat milk. The brand they use is supposedly a very low quality one. Definitely reflects in the taste. My oat milk latte was not pleasing. The second (and last) time, I ordered the avocado toast. I didn't think you can do avocado toast wrong, but they serve this dish with absolute injustice. It was SO soggy, even just seconds after I opened the takeout box. I couldn't pick up a piece without the bread sagging. I only paid $4.80 because of the promotion, but I don't know how they charge a ridiculous $9 for it. Wouldn't recommend this place for anything.

Place is quite small and dark. Think they are going for a more modern style but it's just not there. Food portion was small, and not very flavorful. Had the steak hash. If you are looking for just a quick bite or just a quick coffee, they do have good espressos and lattes. But this is not a place to take your a family or a date.

Based on the four star standing, my wife and I gave a. cafe a try. We were not disappointed. Everything was fresh. The smoked salmon was of excellent quality, as were the fresh berries. The orange juice was fresh squeezed and not tart. It only comes in one size. The syrup they serve is not real, meaning in contains corn syrup. This was the only hitch we discovered. As a result we changed our first order choice. The servers were friendly and efficient. The decor can be described as simplistic and modern. The environment was clean and quiet. Everyone was able to converse without having to shout over music or restaurant bustle. There appears to be seating for about 20 people, so there may be a wait. We only waited for a few minutes. We plan to dine here once again.

Love this place, first, its really close to central park, perfect spot for brunch after weekend morning park strolling. Food: we came here for brunch. We got the bfast burrito, three eggs omelet, and the du hamman tea. I'm not a huge tea person, but i'm impressed with the du hamman. Loved the natural sweetness from the dates and rose petal in it. Will have to find this tea bag in Chicago. The omelet is different from the ones i used to have, in a good way. The egg is spread pretty thin with a thin layer of ham and spinach laid on top, everything is layered instead of whisked with the egg before cooked. Love how it came out. The breakfast potato that came with it was great! They are potato cubes with some red spice on it. Loved the flavor of it. Atmosphere: modern deco and cozy tiny dining area. Service: friendly and attentive Cons: no seats for just grabbing a cup of coffee and read/work tho.

I feel like this is one of those places that are there but no one knows about and is really good! I came here with 2 other friends for brunch and it is an awesome place for brunch. Other than the minimalistic interior is a little cold and the place was a little chilly, the food was awesome. I ordered the salmon burger which was a little crispy and the bun was amazing. The food here is good, but I've had to knock some points off for the terrible atmosphere. Sadly, the place looks like a tiny depressing cafeteria. Everything is white and the tables and chairs are made out of a cheap plastic. There's a tiny slither of a window on one wall and some tacky neon lights. Although I enjoyed my meal, I really couldn't wait to get out of here. Instead of cafe, it's really more of a waiting room with tables. I can't stress how upsetting the decor is, because this place has so much potential. If only the food matters to you, then I recommend a visit here. Maybe take your sandwich and coffee to go and go sit in the park for a bit of ambiance. read more

Had the French toast which was nice but I was shocked that they gave cheap corn syrup vs real maple syrup when you're spending $15 for bread. I also came to experience their coffee but they where some how out of one of them by 10:30 am and my food arrived without receiving my French press of the other version. Apparently the waitress forgot that I'd ordered it and come back to tell me that they didn't have any working French press machines working. Service was mediocre at best. I would not recommend this place to my friends. read more

Brunched here with a friend 2 weeks ago and the food was excellent! Had a bit of a wait (friendly waiter who greeted us at the door and told us 10 mins but it ended up being closer to 20, which we didn't mind). Our server was SUPER friendly and apologized at least 2-3 times about the wait. Checked in several times to make sure we had what we needed (not overbearing though) and thanked us sincerely at the end of our meal. Small place (much smaller than the photos make it seem) but definitely worth checking out. I believe they do take reservations but if you're going on a Friday evening or on the weekend, you might want to make the reservation at least 1-2 weeks in advance. read more

TLDR: Don't get the lemon ricotta pancakes So in New York on a quick trip, and I see a place with lemon ricotta pancakes as a highlight. Great, I think. I seek it out, and order them, and instead of getting the fluffy delights that I have had at a few other places, I get what essentially amounts to a wet rubbery noodle draped on my plate. It was super gummy and dense, lacking in flavor, and overall absolutely unappealing. I struggle to eat the first pancake with some reservations, and the second pancake just remains on the plate, a testament to how much I didn't like the pancakes here (and that is really saying something, because I can eat all of a Lunchables). The location and decor are pretty nice, so I'll bump it up to a 2 star, but that feels charitable right now. read more

Delicious food! About 5 mins (walking) from Central Park right behind the Plaza. The French toast was delicious topped with fresh strawberries and blueberries. And the price was good for the food quality. To feed two people it was about $40. read more

Located in the AKA Hotel near Central Park. Small clean coffee shop that serves breakfast brunch and lunch. Food was on the salty side. Had a glass of orange juice which was a huge glass. Ordered the rib eye hash. Not really hash but big chunks of steak and potatoes. Way to salty for my liking and not really a hash. More like a steak and potato breakfast. read more

It was nice to find a place that was able to sit us immediately. The waiter was prompt; however, it took a while for the food to make it to the table. I got the steak hash with scrambled eggs. It was good but the steak was pretty dry. My husband got the omelet. He enjoyed it and said the side of potatoes were good. read more

A great way to deal with the red eye flight hangover. Nice to have some really good fresh oj in what looks like the set of star wars. It is nestled in between the gigantic skyscrapers. The eggs were terrific and so was the service. The coffee was good. read more

It's hard to find a good coffee in midtown (so I'm told), but this is a gem! The clover coffee maker was the first clue. The staff is friendly and engaging AND clearly is "into" their coffee. We enjoyed not only a great latte, but a friendly discussion with a few tips for other coffee places. Woof, woof, woof!! read more

This is a nice little cafe, for $$ place, with reasonably priced brunch menu. We've been here for Saturday brunch and really liked the food. We ordered bourbon French toast, 3 egg omlette with salmon add-on, tuna melt and smoked salmon with scrambled egg. While all our orders were good, we liked tuna-melt the best PS: The food portion was really filling. It's not very often that I come out of a brunch place and I decide to skip late lunch (i eat hard. Everyone here works like a snail. Everyone here is rude. Only got 1 glass of water and never got a refill. Tried to get our servers but no one was around. Looking for breakfast close to our hotel and much to our surprise, this was literally steps away. We went twice and enjoyed the service and food both times. The potatoes were interesting and yummy. My omelet was great and the hubby loved the breakfast sandwich. He also enjoyed the bagel with smoked salmon. Excellent choice for a quick bite before sight-seeing in NYC. Thank you! read more

We came here on Saturday and ordered a french toast and an omelet. The food was ok but we waited more than 40 minutes for our food! What's more upsetting is that the table next to us came in after we've ordered, but got their food way earlier, and one of them ordered a French toast as well! When we asked our waitress why it took so long, she just repeated French toast always takes a long time, so why did our neighbor got theirs early? We also heard the table behind us asking our waitress where their food is. In summary, average food, not so cheap, and bad service. read more

Chose this place because I was in the mood for pancakes. Well, they were out of pancakes...all but the ricotta ones and I abhor ricotta cheese. This was strike one. Strike two was the bathroom. While overall clean, the toilet needed some tending to. Strike 3 was the food. Bland, bland, and more bland. My husband and I both had the eggs, toast, potatoes, and bacon. We used alot of salt and pepper. The guy sitting next to me used alot of salt on his meal and he ordered the breakfast burrito. If there was the option, I would have rated the place 2.5 stars, given the lackluster cooking and the expensive pricetag $43.00. I will definitely not choose this place again if I have other options. Did I mention we spent $15 on the cab ride? read more

Tried ordering breakfast (2 omelets) from here on a lazy Saturday morning. I got an email notification saying my order was received at 11:51am. Over an hour later I was contacted by yelp saying that a.cafe was trying to contact me to deliver my food and to call the cafe asap. Called only to get voicemail. Yelp tried calling too and also only getting voicemail. At 1:11pm got an email saying my order was cancelled. You try waiting over an hour for some eggs only to be told your order was cancelled. Hangry is an understatement. Clearly they don't want business so everyone should all go to the plenty of other restaurants in our area. Mad at myself for falling for this tourist trap. read more

Awesome breakfast place close to Central Park. The food was amazing, we ordered Lemon Ricotta Pancake, bourbon French toast, and the tuna melt were all good and tasty. The place has a very welcoming ambiance. The staff were friendly. The food was recommended by the waitress. The waitress was very attentive and helpful. She gave each person a recommendation that catered to them. Coming from California it was refreshing to find someone so helpful. Edit: btw, I looked at the receipt, and the name of the waitress is Dana. She's awesome read more

I would never wait that long for this type of food. I will never wait more than 10 minutes for a "rice over" dish in 2026 at any place. The novelty wore off in the early 2010s and my time is more valuable than that. But if someone brings it to me, I will absolutely devour it without hesitation.
