This review is long over due, My car was overheating on my way to work and luckily I was close to work already, but I had to figure out how to get it home. A co worker of mine recommended Brian and he was conveniently down the street. I called him during lunch and thank goodness he was able to make space so I can leave my car. He was very honest and could of easily bs me with the situation I was in, he knew I had to leave me car there. Said it was the water pump and also recommended belt tensioner and timing belt change while he was at it. Saved me for potential additional labor cost in the future. I had to take my car here 3 times within 2 weeks (old car) and the service was top notch, fast, honest, and prices were amazing!! My car overheated one afternoon, we called Brian he said bring it in, him and his team fixed what was wrong on the spot! & for cheap!!! Unfortunately again my car needed a new radiator, it was past hours we were able to drop off the car that night, and by 2pm the next day the car was fixed and ready to go. My father, who is a retired, disabled veteran, had his Santa Fe taken to AE Automotive late June/early July 2020 after his parked car was busted up in a hit and run incident in HB. The repair work was solid, and it drives fine now, but there is one thing: His handicapped placard is no longer in the car, and is nowhere to be found. So before you drop off your car for what will likely be top-tier work from Brian and his crew, be sure to remove the valuables and count the pennies in the ashtray. We dropped a work truck off for some significant repair (Head gaskets/valves.) The technician said after a few days, that there would be some additional repairs needed. No problem, I understand that those things happen. My beef is that when he called my foreman to report that, he failed to tell him that the truck would be ready on a certain date. When my foreman called to arrange picking up the truck, the shop was closed for some 5 days; reason unknown. So my work truck was stuck in their care, completed, for an additional 3 days; unable to service my customers. Maybe let your customers know when the work is completed; especially those who've entrusted you with a work vehicle. At the very least, let them know if the work's been done, and you're leaving town. Very disappointed. When I called to complain, he said it was my foreman's fault. read more

I received several quotes for an oil pan gasket. Brian quoted me over the phone, he beat everyone. Thats not the good news. When he got my car he told me that wasn't the problem at all, some cleaning and oil change, no more leaking. Brian could have just done the job, collected the money, but he didnt. I have been getting my cars worked on by Brian for 12 years now. There were times where I lived 30 miles away and would still take my car in for an oil change. He is reasonable, honest and efficient. If i needed a ride somewhere he would take care of it. There was even a couple times that he came to me after work hours to replace my battery because I was stranded! The complex that he is in even houses other mechanics such as auto body and paint repair which is great because i could get a multitude of items taken care of without even having to leave the area. Often times mechanics see a woman approaching and feel they can rip us off because we don't know anything about cars, ladies look no further because that won't happen here. He even gives you knowledge as to what is happening with your vehicle so you don't walk away wondering what your car issues are! Even his gorgeous daughters know about cars! This shop had my car for over 3 months ( having a new engine put in) when i finally got my car back it was completely filthy they were grease marks inside my car outside of my car the windows were kind of kept down so the inside was completely dusty the outside was completely Dusty it was horrible my car never ran right it had an exhaust leak will come to find out there's a split in the manifold and had no steering fluid in it the starter went out on it like within a couple of weeks and i paid over 2000.00 and I gave the guy a brand-new created engine for a different car that I had come up on he never gave me credit towards my car never said a word about it just took it. I would not recommend this mechanic to anyone. read more

Brian is honest, down to earth and straight forward. He told me how things were and when I asked him to look at something or had a question, he didn't roll his eyes or scoff behind my back. He works with a real nice guy named Alfredo too. The work done here was a lot faster than I expected. When it was finished Brian told me to let him know if there are any issues with the work or anything he forgot to let him know. I took it back for a minor issue and question, he fixed the issue in ten minutes and answered my question quickly. When originally dropped by for an estimate probably took about twenty minutes and the estimate and final cost ended up being hundreds of dollars less that C Collision. I had another shop tell me the buzzing sound coming from my engine was my catalytic converter and would cost $300 to $400 to fix and I needed to buy the part.
