This is the best pizza I have had in my life. I've been to Italy once before and New York and all the popular pizza cities but this place was amazing. We ordered the pizza with salami, wild boar, mozzarella, buffalo mozzarella and truffle oil. It was the most memorable pizza I've had and I've thought about it everyday since leaving this restaurant. We also ordered the black pasta with scallops which was nice- the noodles were thicker than my liking, similar to udon noodles, but the flavouring was nice. They also had live music which was nice and were able to get us a table at 9:30 on Wednesday even though we didn't have a reservation. However I wouldn't count on that on a Friday or Saturday night- make a reservation here!! read more

Friendly staff. And way good food of course. A new a trattoria worth visiting. The manager owner really cares that you had a good meal and good time. Best meal in Venice so far, and this is our 4th day here. My wife is vegetarian and that's not easy here. The only vegetarian starter on the menu was already sold out for the day, but the chef was more than willing to whip up a cheese board as a replacement vegetarian option. The vegetarian calzoni was outstanding, the spinach was very fresh. Since this was a spaghetteria where they make their own noodles, we knew we needed to get their house made pasta, but they didn't have a vegetarian option for that. Again, the chef was more than willing to invent something on the spot with fresh vegetables. We chose the cream sauce, which was great. All for only 43 euros, including wine. We've paid much more in Venice and not been anywhere near as happy. Thoroughly recommend this place, though dinner time will require reservations, late lunch time worked great for us. read more

Highly, highly recommend . The food is great and not expensive. We got to the place around 6:30 and they told us the kitchen wouldn't open up until 7 but we could sit and order drinks and wait-once the kitchen did open up the place filled up SO QUICKLY. Amazing gem near Giovanni Paolo Basilica. The owner greets you as he's welcoming you to his home. He makes you feel like you're his only guest but the place is packed. Even on a Monday night in a rainy weather you can't find an empty table so book your table in advance. But if you arrive without a reservation, not to worry, you'll be taken care off. They make their pasta in house and fresh. Best tasting pasta & pizza. The ambience is amazing. Such a romantic place with live music. Unequal service. Yes!! This place is the bomb! Watch them make pasta from the giant window, then go inside and eat it. The host was able to accommodate our party of 3 without a reservation, and all of the staff were so lovely. The live entertainment was also a treat! So the pasta is freshly made every day and the owner /chef remi, makes his sauce from 3 different types of tomatoes and cooks it for 4 hours every day. The quality of the food and subtly of the flavors dance in your mouth. We started with the tomatillo fried cheese ball on sautéed mushrooms drizzled with honey. Amazing! Then my main course was a simple, richly flavorful spaghetti dish with fresh caught lobster. A real cloud pleaser. In Venice, you must have seafood as its all fresh and the pasta is made daily. We had a beautiful house red although the Spritz is a popular and refreshing Venetian aperitif I've enjoyed elsewhere. Next time we come back to Venice, we are eating at a Le tolle again! read more

We stumbled upon this restaurant on our way to our lodging near the beautiful Campo di Giovanni e Paolo. The fresh pasta caught our eyes. We came for dinner and got turned away for not having reservations. We reserved a table for a late dinner. The wait was not in vain. We ordered a Classico Calzone which was heavenly, the squid ink pasta was delish and the ravioli was also great. We had the tiramisu which was out of this world. We were so happy with Le Tole that we came back the next day for dinner but unfortunately it was closed on Tuesday. We went to its sister restaurant- La Corte - which was equally great. La Corte doesn't serve pizza by the way. I have 2 places to eat in Venice now! read more

Fantastic atmosphere, superb food, easy drinking wine, good service and a great price. For a family of 5 with house wine, sparkling water, pizza, pasta, calzone and black ink spaggetti (which was to die for btw) was less than 60 euro. Included cover charge of 2 euro per person but that seems to just be a common practice of what has now become tourist rip-off Venice. Service charge was optional and not included in the bill. The server had great english and took time to explain the menu and answer questions - he was awesome. Other posts said reserve - we didnt and we walked up around 8.30pm, and they found a table within 10-15 mins. Several couples and families did the same after us. Watching the pasta being made fresh in the kitchen from the large window outside was fun - v. clean kitchen. We enjoyed our meal and drink and were one of the last to leave - the staff were happy to let us enjoy a long lazy evening there with no pressure to move on. Take time to find this place (10mins from Rialto bridge) - defintely can recommend this place. read more

We were lucky and showed up without reservations on a somewhat busy night. Did not have to wait long as a table became available. We found this place when searching on yelp for some ideas for dinner. Its a nice place to eat. I had the black pasta - turns out its not my favourite kind of pasta. However, saying that, the meal was nice and the pasta was cooked really well. If you like the taste of black pasta (which i am guessing is Squid Ink pasta), no doubt you would love it. Hands down one of the best places we ate aton our trip to Italy. The food was amazing! I would recommend making reservations in advance as they were turning people away because they were booked solid until later in the night. Thankfully they made a table for us (3 people) without reservations since we arrived relatively early. You can definitely tell the food is all homemade.
