I have a warranty service that sent A+ Appliance Repair to my home in August 2014. I was charged $85 for the service call. I needed repairs on my refrigerator, dishwasher and stove top. Tom, the owner, along with another man, looked at these appliances and told me that all of them needed parts and that he would have to order them. He left and has never called me back or returned. I called his wife several times and was told that the parts were still back ordered. It is now November 29th and I'm dealing with the warranty company who stated that A+ Appliance Repair never sent them a work order. It appears that the company never intended to do any repairs (since they didn't order any parts) just took my $85 and vanished. Nice work if you can get it. read more

I give them one star only for showing up. You know, if your job is to fix appliances, you should really know how to fix them, how to order parts and how to install parts. They are TERRIBLE!!! I had a horrible experience with A Plus Appliance Repair in Oceanside. They came out to fix my washing machine and were referred by my homeowner's insurance policy. Their repairman came out on 11-30-16 and diagnosed my washer as needing 5 parts. Today is December 13, 2016 and A Plus (Sharon) is still telling me the parts are not in. I have called her several times and so has my insurance company. We are always told by Sharon that she won't know when the parts will arrive until after 5:30 today. It is the same answer every time I call. I have never worked with a company like this before! I honestly believe that the parts have never been ordered and Sharon just says the same thing everyday to get me off her back. When I asked to speak to her supervisor, I was told she is the supervisor. I then asked if A Plus is a family run business and she said yes. I paid my deductible of $100 and don't believe I will ever hear from this company again. Please beware! If you are referred to this company, ask for someone else! They are not trustworthy. Wish I would have read yelp first! I used them through my home warranty (Old Republic). I placed a call in with their rep to try and understand why they would use this vendor? I had a broken knob on my stove, and an oven that wasn't working correctly. They came out the first time and the two guys working on the stove. The older gentleman seemed to be teaching the younger gentleman how to do his job. They both were not very professional. Long story short... both the stove and knob broke again within 2 weeks. I called back, scheduled with "Sharon" who seemed annoyed with me. She too was unprofessional over the phone. Stupidly I rescheduled for them to come out and fix the problem. I scheduled to have them out today from 8am-1pm and took off from work to be home. Did they show up in that time frame? No. Did they call to say they were going to be late? No. So I called and spoke with Sharon again... she tried to reschedule and I said no thanks. THE ONLY TIME SHE WAS HELPFUL was when I asked to be connected with another vendor.... HOW DO THEY STAY IN BUSINESS? Do not use them. read more

I'd give zero stars if that was an option. They should not have service in their name, they didn't return my call after 4 days when they supposedly fixed the dryer but knocked the hose off the back. When I called again they made excuses that I spoke to their answering service and I should call during normal business hours. When I told them I did speak to a very nice gentleman that assured me the tech would call me back (during normal hours) She said "oh, Can't you just fix it yourself, it's easy to do. The tech told me he didn't unhook it." I told her My husband had been gone all week but he was home so now he could but she missed the point. DO NOT USE A+ APPLIANCE REPAIR. Unfortunately, we were forced to use this company through our homeowners insurance policy. In line with many of the other reviews on Yelp, this company is INCOMPETENT AND UNPROFESSIONAL. We paid a $75 service fee and they sent a technician to look at our dishwasher. He was unable to diagnose a simple error code on our dishwasher that is easily identifiable via a simple search on the internet and also indicated he corrected the issue. THE VERY NEXT TIME our dishwasher was run, we encountered the same issues. It took 1.5 months to then finally get another technician to take a look at our dishwasher AFTER A NO-SHOW FOR 3 DIFFERENT APPOINTMENTS. The gentlemen then indicated our water was turned off and promptly left indicating the issue was resolved. THIS WAS CLEARLY A LIE AS THE DISHWASHER FILLED WITH WATER BUT DID NOT RUN therefore the water could not have been turned off. THEY HAVE ALSO REFUSED TO REFUND THE $75 SERVICE FEE. Over the years we've had a lot of awful, lazy, dishonest technicians and appliance repairmen assigned by our home warranty co.when things went wrong in our house. When I bought a condo, the sellers included a one year home warranty and I hadn't needed it until now. I noticed that there was a little bit of water leaking from the bottom of the fridge and the freezer was icing up, much like it would if it had been left slightly open. Also, in the refrigerator there was a huge sheet of ice underneath 2 of the bins and the bins themselves were filled with water. I called the home warranty company and they sent a very nice man out within a few hours. I was a little worried because the company had pretty negative reviews on Yelp, but Greg, the wonderful man who came out couldn't have been any better! He had to have been in his 60s, and he went right to work, laying down on the floor, pulling everything apart, and using a heat gun to defrost all the mechanisms inside. He noticed that the freezer still wasn't sealing correctly and he took apart the entire door to make sure that it would. I thought he was finished then and that the water in the bins in the refrigerator was caused by the over icing in the freezer but he said that was a separate issue and he spent another hour taking the cooling system apart in the fridge and fixing that as well. I am so impressed by Greg's work ethic and honesty! Hope I am as lucky tomorrow with a plumber who is coming out to fix a different issue! Do not use this place! I cannot believe they are in business and I pity anyone that needs work done that depends on them. The guy was late, well past the approx. time frame that was given. He was supposed to fix a washing machine that was not draining and a dishwasher. He did not even speak to me before he left. I had to find out from my downstairs roommate that he left and that he said the dishwasher needed a part that he would order. He never explained what was wrong to me or give me an estimated time that the part would be in. He just left. The washing machine immediately stopped working the next day. I call them. Their call center is unprofessional and never has any answers. No one can help you when you have a problem. They take your number and promise to have someone call you back. No one calls you back. You call again. They are rude to you and tell you they can't help you again. This place is a sorry excuse for a business. read more

Absolutely terrible company. I was visited by extremely rude and obnoxious employees to fix my clothes dryer who told me nothing was wrong with it - they basically had no patience to diagnose the issue correctly and fix it. 2 days later I had to call them back out as it still didn't work and eventually it got diagnosed as a worn motor that needed replacing. It took them 2 weeks to get the part to fix the dryer and after they did they forgot to hook the appliance back up properly which led to the washer not working. So they come out for a 3rd time, crash their car into my car and then deny all knowledge of it!!! We have eye witnesses and photographic evidence. My insurance company are furious with them. It's absolutely unbelievable how such organizations exist. Do everything you can to avoid these people, they are HORRIFIC!!! read more

Honestly does not surprise me that this place has such trash reviews. I moved into my home July 1st and the previous owner had already started the process with them to get a new dish washer latch. He even wrote me a note saying that this place is terrible and to bug them constantly so they complete the work order. Well I called. They said 2 weeks from the first time I called that the part would be delivered. Then on the day of delivery they decided to call me and tell me that there was a new part that they needed to order so they're going to order it and get back to me the following week. Well 3 weeks went by and I didn't hear anything so I Called again and the lady had the audacity to tell me that they couldn't get a hold of me because there was no contact info for me. Which is an absolute lie because two of their employees called me to tell me that the part wasn't going to be delivered! I just called today which makes 2 months since I've lived in this house and the part is still on order and everything is backed up because of the holiday. It's Labor Day! Are you joking me?! Did they plan for this holiday to mess up everything 2 months ago?! Absolutely ridiculous I will never do any kind of business with them ever again. Yelp needs to allow ZERO stars!!!!! Just had THE worst experience to date with my soon to be former Home Warranty company Fidelity. They set me up with this joke of a company to repair my dishwasher. F+ came out and diagnosed it almost two weeks ago and had to order a part. Ok, that should take about a week, no problem there. The problem came when I never got a call to let me know the part had arrived, I had to call them to find out and got the run around for two days before I was able to set up my worst nightmare; the installation of the ordered part. I took the afternoon off from work so I could be here from 1-5 so I could meet them. I called just before 1:00 because I was a running a little behind and was told by the lady on the other end that she would reach out to the tech and call me back....No return call! So 4:00 rolls around and still no word...Starting to get frustrated so I called again. I was told, let me contact the tech and I'll call you back. 45 minutes went by and no call so I called back for the third time. No answer but I did get a wonderful voicemail message saying the company was closed already for the day! Wow!!!! What a great company! But the nightmare didn't end there....I did finally get a call at 5:15 (15 minutes after the scheduled window) to let me know the tech would be at my house between 5:30 and 5:45. At 5:40 I got a call from the tech to let me know he was stuck in evening rush hour traffic heading east on the 78....Of course he was stuck in traffic! It's 6:00 on a weeknight! Finally showed up at 6:25 explaining that he had to do some other techs work because the guy was no longer with this company! Good for him! He got away, like you all should do too!!! Anyway, to finish the story, the tech was here for a total of 15 minutes to switch out the part then was gone! All that for a 15 minute repair!!!! I am not a Big Yelper. Don't write much but this time I couldn't hold myself. WORST service experience I have ever had. Open a service called with the warranty company Friday Feb 3rd around 6 pm so I wasn't expecting a called until Monday. Monday came and I have never got a called from the company, so I called them at 4 pm to schedule an appointment. Appointment scheduled for Thursday 02/09. They were running behind and I had to leave to work so I called them and reschedule for today Friday 02/10. I have been stuck in the house since 9:00 AM and never left. The worst experience I have ever had with a service provider. They do not care. They get the job from warranty companies. Otherwise no one would go to them with this track record. The story: For 5 months we were waiting for a part to arrive for a dishwashe. I do not blame them for this (buying their story that part is coming from the factory). But when the part is in after months, they did not let me know and call me to schedule appointment. I went after them after the warranty company followed up. First appointment promise : they said the repair man was sick and they called. They did not. It was a Friday. The next Monday no call back, nothing from them. I called them and they set another appointment for the next Friday (sign of trouble). I called them Friday to confirm and they said the tech is running late but will show up for sure. No one did. Come next Monday I called them. They lied saying the guy showed up and found no one at home. Then told me they would schedule me on the same day, will call me back in a bit. They did not call. Next morning, same story. I called them twice later and they said scheduling department is somewhere else they took note of my contacts and told me they would call me back for scheduling by 3PM the latest. They did not. No one ever apologized except the last receptionist selling the same story for scheduling. She was apologizing without meaning it with a smiley tone but still that's better than nothing I guess. I had fed up and called warranty company which said they would not deal with them anymore. I do not understand how they stay in business. From warranty companies I guess. If I could give A Plus Appliance Repair 0 stars, I would. I have never dealt with a more unprofessional company in my life!! First I must explain that we would have never chosen to use this company (after reading all the Yelp reviews) had it not been for our home warranty company, American Home Shield, making us use their 'services' (that, in itself, requires an entire Yelp review too). Clearly, BOTH companies are at fault!!! How can it possibly take 4 weeks to receive parts and reschedule an appt to replace them for my dishwasher? They claim they keep no parts on hand and everything needs to be ordered. THEN, after 4 weeks since the repair person's first visit, the new parts were put in, but he never tested the machine to see if it worked. Again, who doesn't check their own work? So, now we have to continue to deal with this company which I know, that after their next scheduled appt in 2-3 weeks, it won't be our last. Actually, they're pretty smart operators........they get paid no matter how long it takes for them to complete a job. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!! Worst company ever! I have been without a dishwasher for 2 months! This company was given to me by my home warranty company. I have had the same experience as all of the other reviews. It took over 2 weeks to get the parts in. They never return phone calls. Very poor customer service. Very rude people. When repair guy finally came out to fix dishwasher he couldn't get the dishwasher out and told me I had to get someone to do it for me. My husband got it out within 3 min after he left, I ran out to get him and he claims he called his next appointment and they were waiting for him but to call office in the morning and he will come out the following evening. Well, when calling the office in the morning his schedule was full and now they can't get anyone out for another 6 days! I will never use them again!! read more

I've had Tom repair several different appliances over the last 14 years: stove, microwave, refrigerator, washing machine. Every time, the work was done quickly and expertly. He knew exactly what the problem was and got it done at a reasonable price. If you talk to him, he will also give you a run down on all the appliance manufacturers and which ones he would recommend and the reason why he likes them. Great customer service. Stay away from this company. Their technician "diagnosed" the problem by recommending replacing the drain pump in my washing machine and never checked the drain trap for debris. He said they would be providing me a quote to replace the pump at the end of the day, but they never did. So the next day I took a look at the drain trap and found it was blocked with a cloth item and its fibers were tangled up with the impeller. After I cleaned out the trap the washing machine was working fine again. I contacted the A Plus Appliance Repair office to request a refund of my $75 service charge because of their faulty diagnosis and their failure to produce the promised quote. They told me was not their fault because I should've directed the technician to check the drain pump trap. And instead of apologizing about the pending quote they provided a dissertation about how complicated and time-consuming the process is to produce a repair quote. I stood firm and demanded a refund and they said they would send me check within the next week. The refund never came. read more

Worst service provider I have ever experienced. Avoid at all costs! They were sent to fix a fridge by home repair. They came out 5 times never repaired fridge. One repairman ruined our fridge door by pushing into it opened against cabinet. I had told him not to open against cabinet and put a cushion against cabinet which he moved and dented the fridge. He told me Sharon the owner would take care of it. She promised countless times to have her insurance adjuster come out. My insurance company conference called her with me and she said she'd fix the door. She then wouldn't answer phone when I called. She had her workers that answered the phone would say she's gone for months at a time. I'd call from another number and Sharon would answer. One time after waiting two months for a part to come in they showed up 4 hours late with wrong part. Then next time with no working fridge for another month I waited whole day and repairman never showed .Sharon told me all through the day he's on his way. Finally at 7:00 pm she said oh he's not coming sorry. The repairman had no idea what they were doing and just bad mouthed the company and owners. Most unethical, inexperienced, and downright nasty company and owner to work with. I've filed a complaint with BBB and hope no one else has to be taken advantage of by this deceptive company. read more

This is my first written complaint in my lifetime. This company is so bad I felt other's should avoid them at all cost. I have used this company 2x's. Both experience were unacceptable. I would not have used them the 2nd time, but they are on the list for my home warranty. Last year, my washing machine was not working. After multiple returns to fix the problem, it was finally fixed. 3 1/2 months of back and forth. I was given excuse after excuse. The customer service, follow up and knowledge of repairmen were as low as you can get. Experience 2, my washing machine isn't working so I call the warranty company and they assign these guys again. I was not in town at the time so I didn't realize it until the day of the appt. The repairman acknowledged the machine was broken and it had serious issues. The company claimed they file all their warranty reports at a scheduled time. It took 2 days to file the report and they informed the Insurance Company it was a little noisy but fine. When I spoke to them, I told them that was an inaccurate report and explained the machine was smoking and repeated the repairman statements. The only thing the girl would say is, well it's the warranty companies decision, nothing we can do about it. I tried to explain that the decision was based on the report they filed that was in conflict with the repairman statements, I suggested perhaps they mixed up the reports and asked she check with the repairman. I got, talk to your insurance company its not our problem. I had to start all over and of course the next repairman (and another fee) discovered the machine was in unsafe condition and it was put in for replacement. It was not repairable. A Plus Appliance Repair gets a F MINUS from me. The only other businesses I have taken the time to write a review have been because I wanted to show appreciation for extraordinary service. This time I want to warn others of their extraordinarily horrible and unprofessional service. The owner, Sharon, is one of the rudest individuals I've ever encountered. First of all, when I made the appointment I was given a 5 hour window of time. After over 5 hours had passed she called and told me that the service man was running 6 hours late that day and they needed to reschedule. I was fine with that until the next day after 4 hours and 45 minute's had passed I called and politely asked her if he was coming that day she became very angry with ME! He did show up and I thought he was a wonderful man. He told me he needed to order a part for our dishwasher. He returned a couple of days later with the part, but accidentally broke a small part when he was installing it. It was a simple accident and I was not upset at all. He said he needed to order another part and schedule another appointment when it came in. After almost two weeks passed I called and spoke with Sharon again. I simply asked her if she could check on the status of the part for me. She said that she just received a huge shipment and would call me right back after she checked to see if it was there. She never called me back, so I called the next day and asked again. This time she told me that it wouldn't be in for two weeks. I told her that I was having a very large dinner party in three weeks and asked if it would be possible to get the part any sooner. Even though I asked very nicely, she was extremely rude to me and said no. After a little over two weeks had passed, I called and checked on the part again. This time she very rudely and sarcastically told me that the part wouldn't be in for 10 more weeks. At that point it became very obvious that she had no intention of completing the job, so I called my insurance company and asked if I could have someone else come out and finish the job. The insurance employee asked me to stay on the phone and she would call A Plus Appliance for me. When she got off the line with Sharon, she told me she couldn't believe how rude Sharon was to her too! Then she said that she would put a note in my file about how I was treated by Sharon and that someone else would contact me for the repair. A few minutes later someone else from F Minus Repair called me and said that they would send someone out the following day to install the part. Gosh Sharon, how did 10 weeks suddenly turn into 1 day? And just to emphasize how unprofessional Sharon is, I'll also mention that while I was resolving this issue with the other employee, Sharon was calling my cell phone with a nasty message. The service man did come out the next day and finished the job. Again, he was a very kind and professional man and if I rated this business on his actions, I would give HIM five stars. It's unfortunate that due to the owner I would actually give this business zero stars if it were possible. read more

I was thankful today that I didn't have to deal with this company! I put in a request with my home warrenty company and they sent the request to this company. 48 hours with no response. So I call the company and of course they take forever to answer....then they can't schedule me an appointment and told me they would message and will get back to me by the end of the day. Well near the end of the day I call my warranty company and they can't get a hold of them either. And honestly somehow my warranty company had my phone # incorrect...which turned out to be a blessing! I knew the company sounded familiar and low and behold I got online to look them up and I see my old review dated: 11/23/2012. Their costumer service has not changed a bit. Rude on the phone and she did not care that I had been waiting 2 days for a phone call...and then the fact that they don't get back to you either was the last straw. Was assigned this company by American Home Shield. The gentleman, Tom, was very nice when he came to get the check, and let us know that he'd have to order the part, which was supposed to come in on a Monday. It didn't. Then it was Tuesday. Nope. On Wednesday, we finally got word that the part would come in on Friday. Sharon told us that she'd have someone "on standby" to install the part as soon as it arrived. On Friday, we I called to get a window of time, and was told by Sharon that "Well, delivery is between 5 and 5:30, and our tech is over the limit on his hours, so I'll have to schedule you as soon as I can." When I finally spoke with Tom, his first words were "I'm sorry you bought a Samsung, and I'm sorry they don't ship their parts." When I asked about the person "standby" that we'd been promised, Tom said "Well, that was before this conversation. Now I'll get to it when I can." Really? Being punished for making a phone call?
