After finding A plus automotive, I would not take my car anywhere else for service or diagnostic. I have been a Customer since 2016, I had purchased a 1999 540I BMW and the person I bought it from referred me to his Mechanic Armen who I learned that it was his Daughters car...I have always had regular service Oil changes done by Nico his Son, I needed an Air Conditioning Part replaced for a 2001 540I , and I always do research, and I have learned that the part runs around under $60.00 genuine BMW online...It took them less than 1/2 hour to install the part and I was Charged $420.00...Recently I had my Check Brake lining light come on and I was told by Nico to go Fuck myself several time and He does NOT want to do Business anymore...I had advised Armen by phone prior and he said to bring in the car, I did just that and this is how I was treated...I also wonder how a business can NOT charge you for Tax if you pay with cash and never give you a receipt? read more

Several years ago I paid $1200 to fix my 1997 C230's air conditioning. So when the AC on my 2000 C230K went out a few months ago, I was determined to hold out for as long as possible. I did too, until temperatures hit 113 degrees a few days ago. The first mechanic I took it to couldn't find the problem, and misdiagnosed it as an electrical fault which he couldn't fix. He recommended MBZ, the Benz specialists, but they said they didn't do air conditioning repairs (they were too busy and to far anyway). So back to Yelp I went, and chose A-Plus for the rains and the proximity. It didn't hurt that they open at 7 am (the early bird catches the worm). Three hours and $175 later, my AC was working good as new. Price would have been much lower if Armen hadn't spent an hour trying to find an electrical problem that didn't exist. Now I understand why mechanics don't always trust other mechanics diagnoses. The place is spacious, clean and well run. I'll be back. read more

No stars. I've had Arman work on my car on more than one occasion. Last one being in March 2017 to fix a leak that was causing the passenger foot well to flood with gallons of water due to the constant pouring heavy rain. He claimed he did testing with a hose and found the problem to be door seal leaks and charged me for the front passenger door panel (But later claimed he fixed both passenger and rear- NOT TRUE, as he offered to give me a better deal if i fixed both and I opted out) Fast forward to yesterday's heavy rain (which hadn't happened in a while) and there it was again, greeted with the same exact problem he supposedly fixed a year ago. I called him to chat with him about what could potentially be the problem and called him about what would be next steps. I read up on this issue which seems to happen frequently with my year and model type car and presented him with this and he did not like that i was reading online information to see what could potentially be the problem. He continued on telling me that I was not letting him speak and that this is the problem with people going online and reading off what "Frank, Joe and Sally wrote online and expecting me to answer them". He accused me of being defensive and immediately after accusing me of this, offered to give me my money back. I told him "not once did I mention asking for my money back", so "who is being defensive here?" Arman- news for you: No matter how way you see this, you are a business. You are supposed to handle your customers with grace and respect. You showed neither of those qualities, and for that, you get zero stars. Do you think that customers would come to you thrilled if you had the same exact thing fixed a year ago and clearly its not fixed. I didn't call you to put any blame. I called to have a conversation about next steps, clearly, Arman did not have the same idea. Even if I'm wrong, don't I have the right to speak and be proactive to present what could potentially be the problem with the car? If I were in his place (practicing good business ethic), I'd hear out my customers (and even if I were rolling my eyes at the thought), i would just grin and bear it and offer logical response.. Arman then proceeded to ask me to return with the car in the most disrespectful way that I hung up on him. As if I would after he talked to me the way he just did! Pure filth. BEWARE. UPDATE: Two weeks ago my Panamera's battery died plus my car was due for an oil change. I called the shop and spoke to Niko. I had my car towed there. I didn't have to leave my home. Niko called me the following morning to give me an update and price estimate. I asked about the 40K mile service, but he told me that it didn't need it yet. He also checked my stereo, added air to my tires and got my car running very nicely. Niko is very nice, knowledgeable and honest. He will not perform the work unless it is needed. I have no mechanical expertise so I really appreciate the honesty. I recommend this shop to all of my friends, neighbors and family. read more

I found the father-and-son owners to be extremely rude with bad attitudes upon all my visits to their repair facility and to top it off, after doing some research found their prices to be outrageous compared to other competitors in Chatsworth. I went to them on my last and final visit for an oil and filter change and was advised after the work was completed that if I paid by cash, the cost would be $100 and it would cost more if I paid with debit or CC card. I got ripped off even paying $100 cash in which I ended up doing. Since then, I have found a new auto repair center in Chatsworth that offers much lower prices and treats me with respect without any attitude like the owners did at A Plus. In addition, the new repair center I now go to uses Mobil 1 oil, unlike A Plus who uses some offbeat cheap brand I never heard of before. Needless to say, I will never bring my car back to A Plus again. I have also read other A Plus reviews whereas other customers have complained about the owners attitudes as well, so it's not an isolated issue. read more

I was referred to come here from my tire guy at Chatsworth Auto Center. Finally saved enough money from my paycheck. I decided its time to go and get my A/C checked. I parked on the lot, as I walked to the office, a mechanic asks what do i need help with? Of course it looks to be the owner, Armen. He asked for my keys and he'd take a look. He would call me when he finds out whats wrong. I asked if I could go into the waiting room. He rolled his eyes and said just go inside on the 2nd room to the left. I had brought my mom something to eat, because shes hungry and well she wanted to go. After a while, Armen enters in and looks at the floor and says, "is that an egg on the floor?" I am confused and asked him what does he mean. He said there was an egg on the floor. Ok, so I go look, apologize and wipe it with a wet wipe and dispose of it. You'd think he be a gentleman, but you could overhear as he walked outside cursing. He then told us to come outside and he'd tell us whats wrong. Bad mistake, you don't give my mom the bad attitude. Shes a female. Sure you can take it out on me, but not my mother. I wonder if Armen talks to his mom or wife like that. God bless them if they do. So, he tells me whats wrong and even tinkers the hoses. He gives me the estimate right away. My mom being my mom cant understand Armen when he talks so fast and asks for a paper estimate. He raises his voice at my mom and tells her off saying your son heard.. "i dont have to give it to you, god. Your son already HEARD me." from the back one of his mechanic was laughing. Wow that professionalism. Who does that? Who talks to someone older than him like that? My mom was hurt and anyone who gives attitude my mom, doesn't deserve my business. My car recently overheated, and I noticed a small amount of anti-freeze in the driveway. Chatsworth Tire (also a great place) referred me to A Plus Automotive. I drove there, without an appointment, and Armen, the owner said he'd check my car and would get back to me. Within a couple of hours, he called and said he tried forcing my car to overheat, and he couldn't do it. He wasn't about to replace anything that didn't need replacing. WOW!!! I recently took my 1988 Camaro Iroc Z to Armen and Niko for a complete service. They installed a brand new upgraded radiator with twin electric fans since my old one was leaking fluid all over. They also fixed my leaking differential and adjusted my rear brakes. In addition they were able to troubleshoot a number of electrical issues. This place is terrific. I called very last minute prior to a trip to get an oil change/lube tune-up and brake fluid flush and some other things, and Armen got me in within a half hour. Honesty was paramount in my experience with Armen today. I had been told by AAA battery service that my alternator was bad and needed a replacement. I left my car at 8:00 AM fully expecting to pick it up at 3:00 PM and pay a $600 bill. Armen and his son Nico researched and tested it again finding it to be working perfectly. My 2004 Highlander didn't pass smog. Assumed it was the catalytic converter and it was going to be expensive. Didn't know who to go to. I ran by Chatsworth Tire and asked what to do. They referred me to A Plus. I drive right over and Armen was so helpful. Said I could drop it off in the morning and he would even give me a loaner to get to work. When he called and told me it was the catalytic converter I waited for the $$. But he was very reasonable. I said go ahead and I got the car back the next day and passed my smog. They do not know what they're doing - BEWARE. When the exact same issue I originally went in for, failed 3 months later, they told me I could not prove it was the part that failed, so I had to pay again. He said he would cut me a deal and charge $200, because that would exclude the labor fee, so he said. I called up the Dealership, and asked how much that part cost, and they told me it was $120. When I asked if I could purchase the part myself to save money, I was told 'No' because they didn't want me to bring in cheap aftermarket parts. I went ahead with the repair, and a month later my car was worse, so I finally visit another mechanic. Turns out A+ had used cheap after market parts, after telling me not to bring in my own because of that reason, and charging me more for theirs. If you repair your car here, EXPECT to return to them with more issues! I have never visited a shop so many times in 6 months. The real mechanic told me that A+ Automotive was supposed to use two bolts for a part they installed. One bolt was the correct bolt in the wrong place, and the other was a bolt for another car, forced in. My mechanic said it was stripped and hardly was hanging on. He was upset at the poor labor done and asked me where I went. read more

I have brought my cars here to be repaired and safety checked for a while now especially since my wife is pregnant with our first child I wanted to make sure she drives a safe car.
