It took several call outs for us to notice the pattern of some of the plumbers being brazen about lying outright and misinforming us about issues in an attempt to pad their invoices. One of the most brazen lies was that we had a CO leak -- but they didn't know we had 2 other plumbing companies come out at the same time to inspect and give their quotes and they both said this company was lying. They failed to identify the root cause of the problem while other plumbers were capable of easily identifying the fix in their initial assessment. I do not recommend this company.

However, the company's response later changed our perspective. When I called about the new leak, Carrie (their scheduling lady) answered immediately and arranged for a same-day appointment within just three hours. Technician Rafael arrived ahead of schedule and quickly identified that a joint section of piping had worn out. He efficiently replaced the damaged section, and the repair has held up well since then. Additional positives worth noting: 1. Their pricing of the first service visit to fix clogging was reasonable among licensed plumbers (I always prefer using licensed contractors). 2. They didn't charge for the second service visit to replace the worn out part. 3. Carrie's responsiveness made rebooking effortless. 4. Rafael demonstrated solid expertise and professionalism. While we were unhappy about needing a second repair, New Pipes' outstanding customer service, skilled workmanship, and fair pricing ultimately earned our trust. Instead of giving me the opportunity to speak to a professional plumber, (gatekeeper non plumber receptionist) Sheri tells me that the only resolution for my clogged drainage piple is for their company to remove and replace the entire 60 feet of underground pipe under my flagstone walkway leading to the street. This is an assessment made by a receptionist without me ever speaking to a plumber.

Master Plumbing came out to start work on the weekend and were able to quickly determine where and what the problem was. Over the course of about four weeks, I had to put in a substantial amount of effort to coordinate with different companies to repair the issues in both our unit and the unit below us. Master Plumbing did a fantastic job in helping to make this process as smooth as possible. During the work, they consistently updated me on what was happening, the costs for repairs, and getting us all the information we needed for insurance. All the workmen were friendly and on time. Seeing that I got zero support from our HOA or property management, I want to send a big thank you to Marilee and Juliana who were always pleasant, professional, and prompt any time I called to make a request or get some help. I had Albion Plumbing and Rooter come to my house to fix a drip in my tub faucet and a lack of hot…read morewater in my bathroom sink. The plumber (Mike) quickly fixed the sink and told me he needed to take the tub faucet apart to see what part was needed. Then he went out to his truck and came back saying he did not have the part and would need to go to Home Depot. At no time did he tell me he was going to charge me the repair rate of $187/hr for the trip to Home Depot. When he returned an hour later, I asked for the receipt for the part but he refused to show it to me. He charged me $145 for the part I later saw on Home Depot's website for $71. Since I never saw a receipt I don't know whether he went to Home Depot at all. Maybe he just had lunch on me. I do know I paid almost $200 for him to go to Home Depot! The total bill came to $646.91 and he did all the calculations on his tablet. I never received a receipt. Albion's website says their pricing is honest and transparent but it is neither. When I reported Albion to the Better Business Bureau they offered to refund about $65 for the part (admitting they overcharged me) but I have never received this money.
