I came with a group of three for dinner around 6 PM. We had made a reservation beforehand on Yelp but it ended up being unnecessary because the restaurant was fairly empty. When we walked in we did have to awkwardly wait around for a couple of minutes because they only had one server/cashier taking care of the whole restaurant. The poor guy was running around the whole time we were in the restaurant. While we were being taken to our spots I could see how dilapidated the restaurant looked. It was just not well kept at all and the dining spaces did not seem the cleanest. To order you do so by circling items on a laminated menu. We decided to get the AYCE with three broths: the bone broth, tomato broth and spicy broth. The spicy one was chalk full of peppers so was a bit too much for me. I ended up mostly eating from the bone broth which was quite salty but still had a nice flavor. For sauces you make your own. They were missing a lot of ingredients including 沙茶醬. Instead they replaced it with ketchup and American BBQ?? That is the first time I have ever seen a hot pot place do that, who is dipping their boiled meats into ketchup?? We got all of our ingredients for hot pot through the robot and it was pretty lacking in choices. Some of the items it came with were not what I would usually expect at a typical AYCE spot and they were definitely missing some items. The quality of the ingredients and meats were mediocre at best. Many of the ingredients that we received had not even been defrosted yet. All in all, a disappointing hot pot place. We will likely go somewhere else the next time we are craving hot pot.

Absolutely amazing for our first Hot Pot experience. The waitress was so helpful to explain how it works. She helped explain the broth and meat choices, they also have buffet style with seafood and veggies you can add in your hot pot, and free ice cream at the end! We enjoyed our time and the food was very tasty' I recommend the spicy beef broth, extra spicy!

The fish soups are delicious as great as hotpot there. We picked 4 different flavors. I personally like the spicy one best, but the rest might be your dish.

Cross the Bridge Noodle Beef Bone Broth with Beef

The food was delicious. We went to A Tasty Hot Pot but we didn't get hot pot haha. We ordered the Cross the Bridge noodle with beef in beef bone broth. We also ordered the House Special Sauerkraut Fish small portion with wide noodles, enoki mushrooms, snakehead fish, and spice level 1 (this one was absolutely amazing). Next time we come back we will try the actual hot pot! There is plenty of parking. Inside is spacious.

buffet options we got

Came here with no other choice. Staff were nice, robot was cute, but there was little buffet options. Sauce was dirty, buffet bowls empty. Meat was overpriced, go to Happy Lamb. Better place. Decent though.

Spacious eating area

very good hot pot place, with a big variety of food and all you can eat quantity. You can mix your own sauce with plenty of choices. Clean and spacious eating area. Price is very reasonable and service is good. I definitely recommend it and will come back again

AYCE hot pot.

Not the best place for ayce hot pot, it's just ok to me. We were in a party of 8 and they take reservations for 5 and more. They seated us in a private room. Which was pretty cool. Service could have been better, but than we noticed a call button on the wall. There's a robot cart that brings the food to your table. There are many flavors of broth to chose from and you can have up to 9 different broths in one pot. We ordered 3 soups: tomato, white, and spicy. Some enjoyed the spicy peppery Szechuan flavor. White was mediocre and lacked taste, and the tomato broth was overpowered by the ginger. There is a variety of meats, veggies, and soy products to choose from. The sauce bar had lots to choose from for an additional $2. I did enjoy the fresh noodles, gyoza, and the lamb. I prefer Happy Lamb's broth over Tasty though. This place won't be my choice for hot pot, but may be enjoyable for others. **edit: per management there is no charge for the sauce bar, for ayce. Thanks! :)

I have not been this Plaza since moving away in 2018. The whole place changed dramatically with the opening of Park to Shop Supermarket (香港超市), an Asian grocery store. There are so many asian restaurants opened inside and around the store. I was not in the mood for hot pot, so my friend and I ordered noodle/rice entree and two appetizers. There were only two tables of Patrons when walked in around 5:30. The state of IL just ordered indoors mask mandate yesterday (8/30/21). The noodle soup was okay but the appetizers were great. Shredded Soy Bean Curd (not shown) and intestines (highly recommended this dish if you are an adventurous eater) tasted deliciously. My friend's Crawfish Meat with Rice looked good since he finished the whole bowl. Maybe I will be back in the winter due the hot pot.

The service was good. Went for the all you can eat and did three different broths. Each one we tired was delicious. The music was at the right volume to still have great conversations.

Ask the Community - A Tasty Hot Pot

If you order a la carte, can you take the leftovers home?

Planning on going here Saturday, I see on the menu it says 25 dollar all you can eat dinner... does that mean you just pay 25 and get unlimited meat and veggies or am I understanding that wrong..?

Do you have indoor seating at this time?

We ordered crab rangoon, crispy shrimp with lemon sauce, twice cooked pork, baby bok choy with garlic, smoked tea duck, and boiled sole fish fillet in spicy Szechuan sauce. Service was good. Food came out fast. It wasn't very busy on a Sunday evening. Prices were fair for the portions. Overall about a 3.5 out of 5. -crab rangoon 5 - big pieces with a lot of filling inside. -crispy shrimp with lemon sauce 5 - this reminds me of walnut shrimp but with lemon flavor. Shrimp was crunchy. -twice cooked pork 3 - This was decent but it didn't have a lot of pork in it. A lot of vegetables but I wanted more pork. -baby bok choy with garlic 5 - vegetables were soft not soggy., -smoked tea duck 5 - pieces had a good amount of meat. I could really taste the smoky flavor. -boiled sole fish fillet 4 - not too spicy. This was a very good dish but I wished they added more fish in it.

Lucky Panda is one of the many restaurants in strip malls in this part of town. Has a lot of the common items. There's beef and chicken of course, as well as tofu for healthy options. A lot of customers seem to get carryout. It's got a pretty big dining room if you want to eat inside. There's also a gaming section with a few slots. As for the food it's basic. It's about $14 for an entree. Portions are kind of big though. Has some that are spicy. We got the Kung Pao Tofu. Came with quite a few pieces of tofu in it. Too bad these were kind of burnt and tough. Had a good variety of vegetables including carrots and peas. The meal was pretty okay but they didn't understand we were eating in and they made it to go, so we ate it out of the bag at a table. For sure there's many Chinese restaurants that are much better. It's located in the one strip mall on Eola. There's a few options with tofu for vegans and vegetarians.

The portion was clearly reduced but the price stayed the same. This place has always been consistent for me so the change was frustrating. I understand costs go up but smaller portions without any notice isn't great. Has anyone else noticed this or was it just a one off? I'm hoping this isn't a new trend because I've otherwise enjoyed ordering from here.

We ordered take-out on a Saturday night. They said it would take 30-40 minutes to be delivered but it didn't come until over an hour later. We ordered the sweet and sour chicken dinner. The chicken was warm and crispy but only came with one tiny container of sweet and sour sauce which was barely enough for half the chicken. It also came with an egg roll and TON of white rice. Half the platter was rice and it came with another small box of rice on the side. The rice was on the dry side too. We also ordered garden fresh vegetables. I can't say they seemed very fresh though. To me, it was equivalent to the bottom of a bag of frozen vegetables that were microwaved a bit too long.
