Taro Matcha Tea and Thai Iced Milk Tea
    Dinah G.

Not too sure if I'd take another tea moment. I thought this place was just A-Ok. I know the trend is to move toward self service ordering kiosks, but the experience here felt a bit impersonal. The kiosk is at window, and behind is the enclosed kitchen. The lobby is cute and small, really aesthetic. It feels too small to really hangout though. There are also some toy machines and a claw machine in their lobby you can play while you wait for your drink. The service is really quick though. I ordered the taro matcha while my coworker got the Thai tea. My drink was okay but tasted more of the grainy taro and sweetness rather than matcha. The matcha quality was okay. I think next time I'll try a more classic drink like a milk tea to make an updated review. For now, I guess this is a decent spot if you're craving boba in the El Segundo area (since there aren't too many other options around).

Lychee Iced Tea with Mango Jelly

Refreshing tea goodness. Ordered lychee tea with mango jelly, came with actual lychee which was pleasantly unexpected. Easy ordering system. Select order on a computer, pay and wait in the cute seating area - small but quaint. Quick service and cute spot. Would come here when in the area. Note: enter on Main Street, between SAUSAL and Gingers.

This place is a tiny hole in the wall boba shop with a self ordering kiosk. The decor is pretty cute and very pink. I got the recommended classic milk tea and it was alright but the boba was pretty bad...it tasted rather not fully cooked and kept getting stuck on my straw that it was pretty difficult to even get to it.

Give yourself a tea moment! :) This boba tea is amazing! There's really no wait time, you place your order on a touchscreen unless you ordered for pickup. The drinks can be customized in so many ways, and this is literally one of the best bobas I've ever tried. There is a patio in the back, away from the busy street, if you prefer to stay and enjoy some quiet time. Parking is easy to, as this little plaza has its own parking structure. If you become a regular, be sure to sign up for their rewards program.

Talk about a boba shop caught up on aesthetics vs providing good quality drinks. $6.70 for a regular boba milk tea where the boba is stale and old (not fresh) and clumped together to the point where I couldn't get the boba out of the straw, milk tea that isn't fragrant, and an overall watered down drink is disappointing. I didn't even order the milk tea. I ordered a brown sugar boba milk (no tea).

It's a very cute place with a good grip on its aesthetic. They have a wide range of drinks with varying flavor profiles. I had the Thai tea lemonade, and I did not like it. I just don't think it's a pleasant flavor, not that they made it poorly. It does seem a little boring(?). They have those tablet ordering kiosks and then there's a small window where they give you the drink; It feels like it's missing an element of humanity that would bring comfort and make me want to go again.

My party of three girlfriends (GO,PLATS!!!) once again overstuffed ourselves at the nearby Jame. Like that wasn't bad enough, we decided to get boba. Because there's always room for boba! I was hoping they had wintermelon, but they didn't. No biggie, matcha green tea is always good, so I got that with green jelly. Ordering was easy using the pad, so you get exactly what you pick. As it was a warm-ish hot SoCal day, it was only natural there was a wait. There were at least a half dozen peeps waiting for their treats. It was certainly worth the wait. My drink was refreshing (really that's an understatement.) This is my first run on green jelly and I think me likey a lot A LOT! Not too much ice, not too sweet, it was a good ending to our food run! DRINK: 5. There was nothing wrong with it, so can't rank it less. SERVICE: 3. Very little interaction, average at best. VALUE: 4. Reasonable for what we got, especially for its location. PARKING: Street and there's a private lot nearby. It can get busy. OVERALL: 4. That green jelly is a game changer. Will come back to try it again most likely with a different drink. Also curious about them savory crepes. Point is: there will be a future visit!

    Thai Iced Tea

Food Coworkers and I decided to get some boba during lunchtime and found this cute little place. I love boba and I try out new boba places quite often, and I got a thai iced tea, because it is my usual go to and will determine if the boba place is good or not. The actual drink was pretty okay, good flavor, and just the right sweetness(i got less sweet), and not overly filled with ice too. The brown sugar boba it came with was a tad undercooked as it was a bit too chewy, but I didn't mind since I like it chewy. Service/Ambiance It's a really small place with no seating inside and a few benches on the outside. You order from a self-serve kiosk and wait for your order in the window. Initially, since it was the middle of the day I wanted vietnmese coffee since the posted menu had it as an option, but it was nowhere to be found in the kiosk so that's a disappointment.

Love it's location right off of Main Street in El Segundo next to a cupcake shop and some popular restaurants. Interior is small with a walk up order window, additional order kiosk, and minimal seating. Lots of menu drink options, and with non dairy creamer used instead of milk. I ordered the taro milk- light ice, 50% sweet, and added boba. It was just ok... still felt there was a lot of ice, it was very sweet, and in the end most of the boba were clumped together. Too hard to sip the boba through the straw and I don't care for eating clumped boba. Nothing special... I think throwing in some chunks of taro would elevate it more.

    Jasmine Milk Tea

Got the Jasmine Milk Tea and it was delicious. Right amount of sweetness just like I ordered. I got the brown sugar boba and it was super silky and chewy. Absolutely delicious drink & this place I didn't know was open 8 mo. ago shame on me! One of my top 3 boba spots moving forward, I'm glad it's close by my job. The place is super cute, clean and the colors are amazing inside. They blend very well and the employees were very helpful and welcoming. They also have a big screen so you can do a touch less order I'll be a regular here from now on.

Free keychain with purchase of crepe and drink! (limited time)

Such a cute place to have tea and dessert! Came here with friends on a weekend and sat in the back patio to enjoy our crepes and drinks. The green tea I got was refreshing, well-made, and I of course, enjoyed the rainbow jelly topping. The staff was very attentive and friendly to my party of 8. The selection and variety of of drinks was great, served my friends who were non-tea drinkers, too! They call your number out of the ordering window once its ready. You can even self order on the screen to the right (very cool) if the line is really long. My friend even did the limited-time offer of getting a crepe and drink to receive a free keychain! So fun! Such a great place to just hang out and talk with friends!

Got to try this place as it's been on my Yelp list for a while, so I tried the mermaid lemonade, a non-tea drink, and got it less sweet as well. Unfortunately it tasted like there was absolutely NO sweetness whatsoever (which isn't what I wanted obviously), it just tasted like sour lemon water. Really disappointed. However, I think I'll still go back to give this place a go again, just maybe order something different.

Solid bubble tea shop in downtown El Segundo. Small shop with self order kiosk, and you get your drink out of a window when it's ready. There's a patio in the back, which is great for a lazy Saturday afternoon. They have a really good selection, including non tea drinks and tea lattes. I got the brown sugar tea latte with boba--so good!

Left is black milk tea with boba and right is jasmine milk tea with boba. Good milk teas, but the boba lacked flavor/sweetness.

I think the straws are weak, they break pretty easily. I think it needs to be a bit more durable along with the carrier.

I'm not a fan of coffee so I'm always deciding between their mochi, fresh fruit, or iced teas etc. My go-to drinks are the Yuzu Citrus No. 8 and Jasmine Frost Iced Tea (less sweet for both options). The Yuzu Citrus has the perfect amount of tang with a slight sweetness that cuts through the acidity. The tea flavor manages to shine through the fruitiness, and overall the flavors pair well with one another. The Jasmine Frost Iced Tea is very aromatic and brewed to really highlight the Jasmine. My boyfriend normally gets the mochi mango which has soft chunks of mochi mixed, and tart/sweet mango puree. I appreciate how the smoothie is never icy, and has a creamy texture. There are plenty of seating options for people, whether it's socializing or studying. It gets pretty busy and wait-times can vary greatly; I would recommend ordering ahead of time. The staff members are friendly and helpful. The only issue I have with the spot is that the drinks do tend to be on the more expensive side, with drinks ranging from $7-9. The matcha drinks are also not the highest quality, and often the matcha tastes quite diluted. Overall a solid spot!

It is a well crafted dessert coffee. Lots of places have flavored drinks that either feel like the coffee is incidental/nonexistent, or they feel like coffee with a La Croix hint of whatever flavor is advertised. The Amai banana turon, on the other hand, is beautifully balanced. It's like eating a slice of salted caramel banana bread while drinking a latte. Both flavors are fully present and complement each other. I usually avoid foam, since I can find the texture unappealing, especially when it feels close to bubble bath suds. The foam at Amai is thick and creamy and genuinely added to the drink.

This review is regarding a visit on June 1 between approximately 12:10 PM and 12:30 PM…read more I am leaving this feedback as a regular customer who has purchased different matcha drinks from this business on multiple occasions. I have consistently enjoyed visiting this location, which is why I am sharing this experience in detail rather than simply not returning. On this visit, I ordered the House Matcha with almond milk and paid $7.75. The drink was significantly underfilled, which resulted from my request for no ice. While I understand that removing ice can affect volume, the amount of empty space at the top of the cup made it feel like I received less than a full drink despite paying the full price. In addition, I was charged for an almond milk substitution, which further contributed to the expectation of a properly filled drink. The cup size also raised concerns. I recently ordered a Banana Cream Matcha at the same price point and received a noticeably larger cup. On this visit, the House Matcha was served in a smaller cup, and even the sleeve did not fit correctly. The combination of a smaller cup and reduced fill level created an inconsistency in value that was immediately noticeable. The most significant issue was that the drink contained no sweetness at all. The House Matcha is described as "perfectly sweet matcha" and includes agave syrup, so it is reasonable to expect sweetness as part of the standard preparation. Instead, the drink was completely unsweetened. There was no communication during ordering that sweetness needed to be selected separately, and in prior visits I have never been asked about sweetness level. This is also not the first time I have received a matcha drink without sweetness despite it being described otherwise. By the time I realized, I had already left the store and was unable to return due to time commitments, and it does not feel reasonable that multiple preparation issues should require a return visit. It is also concerning that there is no clear pricing listed next to the different matcha options in the matcha section of the menu. The lack of visible prices makes it difficult to understand the cost of each drink at the point of ordering and reduces transparency for customers. From a broader perspective, consistency issues across cup size, fill level, and recipe execution affect the overall experience. I regularly purchase specialty drinks and would be comfortable paying $7.75 if the product consistently matched the menu description, portioning was accurate, and expectations were clearly communicated at the point of sale. As someone who visits this plaza several times per month, I would genuinely like to continue supporting this business and have consistently positive experiences. That depends on clearer communication, more consistent preparation standards, and attention to detail during both ordering and fulfillment. At home, I am able to prepare matcha easily using a variety of milks, including almond, oat, coconut, cashew, pistachio, banana, and pea protein, along with simple sweeteners such as agave, maple syrup, honey, and organic brown sugar. I also keep ingredients such as whipped cream, sea salt, strawberries on hand, blueberries, and mango, allowing me to make specialty drinks like strawberry matcha, blended matcha with frozen strawberries, or other customized variations. Because of that, the value of a café drink comes down to consistency, accuracy, and convenience rather than ingredients alone. If issues such as inconsistent cup sizes, underfilling, missing ingredients, or unclear customization options are occurring across orders, it may point to a need for improved staff training and clearer standardization. Addressing these areas would likely improve the experience for both regular and first-time customers. I hope this feedback is received as constructive input from a returning customer meant to improve overall customer satisfaction and repeat business.
