Very excited to have a legit boba place in town. Since the soft open, I've tried three of the flavors: House Milk Tea, Jasmine Milk Tea and brown Sugar Milk Tea. They were all pretty good, but the House Milk Tea is my favorite so far (it's got a nice toasty aftertaste). The traditional "brown sugar" boba pearls are also pretty good. Can't wait to try the crepes when they're available, or the Oreo drink. The store is located between Sausal and Smallcakes. It's fairly compact and easy to miss. It can get a bit crowded inside when the store is busy, but the drinks tend to come out very quickly. Looking forward to going back! read more

The drinks here are fine but not super great. It works because there's nothing else in the area, but it's fairly overpriced and mediocre quality. Also, hate that they nickel and dime for customizations. It's 50 cents to get less ice, so instead you end up just paying for a cup of mostly ice unless you eat the upcharge, at which point you're paying $6 for a small drink. read more

What a special find in El Segundo! I happened to be walking on main and this store front caught my eye! It has the appearance of a cute little cafe with muted pinks tones with pops of green. Very aesthetically pleasing! I was helped out by the owner Gift who explained the teas to me and I ended up getting the brown sugar milk tea which I believe she said is her best seller. The boba had the perfect texture and the tea itself had a wonderful flavor, not too sweet. Next time I visit I want to opt for a fruity tea! Found this little boba place while we were in the area over the weekend. It is nested in a small shopping plaza with limited parking. The drinks here were delicious! I tried the coconut milk with mango and added jelly for another $.75. Deduct one star because there was very little mango in my drink (I think 4-5 pieces of mango that were half of a dime size) and 75% of my drink was ice. Overall, not bad if you are craving for a cool drink during the summer! read more

We ordered a drink and it did not process the payment somehow and we waited, until we confronted them and had to order again. The lady at the counter didn't really process or understand anything I was saying. After we got our drink, we had asked to exchange because it tasted absolutely horrible- DO NOT get the dragonfruit tea!- and she just stared at me. Very basic, nothing special. They have oat milk though it's not listed on their menu. Tried their matcha latte, milk with crystal boba, and fruit teas. All pretty mid. The fruit tea had zero fruity flavor; it was just vague sweet water. They ran out of normal boba so we had to get crystal instead. How does a boba shop run out of boba??? So happy a boba spot is finally opening up in el segundo! This place is really cute and the drinks are yummy. I got the mango sparkling pop drink with lychee jelly (not shown on the physical menu) and rainbow jelly and my coworkers got the house tea which they said was delicious. The only downside was that the boba wasn't ready and we didn't have enough time to wait for it; we came right when they opened at 11. I will definitely be back to try the boba and more drinks:) read more

I was happy to see that a boba place opened. SUPER SAD THAT THE STAFF HERE ARE VERY UNFRIENDLY AND VERY UNWELCOMING! It is like the are hiding in the back. I find that so disrespectful and RUDE! I walked in ( first time) and someone was on this machine which I didn't know what it was and I could see (2) ladies in the back . No hello! No welcome! No, let me know if you have any questions. Woooooow! Ok, cool. I went through the menu and figured out what to order. My tea was placed on the counter and the lady said go ahead and take a straw. Unfortunately she didn't suggest a bigger straw as I ordered boba and I grabbed a smaller straw not knowing. So I didn't get to enjoy the boba. I only came here once and was a little disappointed, they seem to have a lot of options for boba toppings but they don't do simple basic hot milk tea, which was what I wanted on a cold rainy day. Small little spot to stop in and get a delicious boba. I love the brown sugar milk tea, lychee popping boba in the peach soda and house milk tea. Very clean and fast. Self check out kiosk. This place is tucked away in a corner and I would not have been able to find it without the A-stand sign that they placed by the parking lot. You order inside at a kiosk and they bring the order out to a little window (inside the store). I got the lychee iced tea with lychee popping boba. Meh, I had high hopes and really looked forward to ATM opening in ES. Unfortunately both times I've ordered it's just been ok. I ordered a milk tea with boba the first time and although it wasn't super sweet (which I prefer) the tea was just a ok, the flimsy cup and cheap straw made my experience meh as well. The 2nd time I tried the Thai boba shaved ice and was really surprised how small it was, definitely did not feel like I got my money's worth. Both times the boba was a little too chewy for my liking. When I have the time I'll prob go elsewhere, as this place is walking distance for me. read more

In my opinion, it's not worth it for people who love milk tea. Maybe their coffee is better, but I don't care much for their milk teas at all.

The matcha flavor was rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced. It wasn't too sweet, which is exactly what I love in a matcha drink. You can really taste the high-quality matcha, and the texture was smooth without being overly thick. To make the experience even more fun, I decided to upgrade to the special cup option. This boba shop is fantastic! They have an amazing selection of drinks, and ordering is a breeze with their large screen device. Payment is super convenient--you can use cash, card, or even Apple Pay! The floral milk tea had a slight flowery taste and was bitter. The boba they have is perfectly fine though. Neither of those really make the cut for me. In my opinion, it's not worth it for people who love milk tea. Maybe their coffee is better, but I don't care much for their milk teas at all.

I came with my family one Sunday evening on a hot July day, bypassing several chains on the way, including the new(er) Salt and Straw across the street. The inside is packed to the brim with sweets, small toys, and people, much like a candy shop of old. After reaching the front of the winding line our family shared a Banana Split ($13) - three scoops of ice cream, a split banana, hot fudge, a single dry topping (we chose coconut), whipped cream, and a trio of cherries - about as classic as it comes. The ice cream was good but not exceptional. The chocolate and strawberry were fairly generic, but I liked the third scoop of banana foster ice cream which had a nice banana kick. I doubt this ice cream is home made. The complements and construction to the sundae were great, however, and the flavors came together well. As I would hope for a location like this, the staff are local youths who served with patience and passion. In cases throughout the store are several of their other specialties - ice cream cookie sandwiches, dipped frozen bananas, and more - inviting repeat visits. Prices are elevated but not crazy for such a trendy area, although I would say with the middling quality of the ice cream a couple dollars less would be fine. Overall, Manhattan Beach Creamery is a local landmark worth at least a single visit for anyone in the area. If you can get past the generic, if a little boring, ice cream flavor and rampant commodification of the interior, you'll find a classic ice cream parlor with great service and history.
