We called A1 in a bit of a panic as we thought our system was having major issues. They were able to make it out the same day to check out our system. It turned out that everything was okay and the sewer smell we were experiencing was actually drifting into our home from a neighbor's system (lucky for us, bummer for the neighbors). Since this was our first service since buying our home we had a lot of questions and they were great about walking us through our system and everything that they were checking as they pumped our tank. Now we know where all of our septic access points are located and what to keep an eye on should we have any issues in the future. Friendly service and super informative for septic newbies. I'm a bit suspicious when a company only has 5 star reviews, but after this experience I can see why Stan has earned them. We're getting ready to put our home on the market and needed a septic inspection and pumping. Although timing was not critical, we wanted to get it done sooner rather than later. After calling around to get bids, we decided to go with A-1. Stan proposed a few dates/ times that would not work for us because of scheduling conflicts with other contractors. He then offered to come out later that same day, which was totally unexpected. He arrived on time, was courteous, professional, and careful of surrounding landscaping. A1 Septic provided great service. I have a very steep driveway, and rather than throw up his hands and give up (like a prior service call to a competitor had ended), Stan remained upbeat and cheerful and found a way to make it work. He even happily moved the truck out of the way when my roommate arrived home and needed to get up the driveway. Expect a few charges on top of the quoted pump fee (digging, filter, fuel), but I expect most companies would add those, and the total cost was very competitive. I had an emergency situation with my septic system and I called in the morning and they said they could come by between 1 and 5. I had to be somewhere else and called to see if he could come the next day, but he said he would still come by and he did! He got done a little after 9pm and resolved the issue. He was very courteous and explained things so I could understand what had happened with the septic. He did excellent work and cleaned up and packed everything up quick. My septic started showing issues Sunday morning. I called A1 Septic Monday morning at 7am. He was at my house pumping before 9. He diagnosed a problem with the tank and recommended it get fixed. I called on a Sunday night, A1 was out on Monday morning, they quickly opened up the tank, got it pumped and discovered that the outflow was also a little clogged and not very well attached. Stan came out to Woodinville (licensed in King and Snohomish Counties) and quickly pumped out the chambers and found a repair needed due to the settling of the dirt around the outflow baffle. A1 septic was awesome! They helped last minute on a Saturday! My grandfathers basement bathroom backed up due to the full septic tank and clogged pipe. The guy was awesome. I made about 10 phone calls looking for the same day service but could not find anyone. A1 service also was busy but he was able to squeeze me onto his route. He emptied the tank and cleaned the filter without charging extra for this and even cleaned a hole in the ground full of water, just because he was there. read more
