We signed up with A2Z Remodeling for a major renovation which includes 2 bathrooms, kitchen with removal of load bearing wall, flooring, interior paint and a new construction fireplace (which A2Z recommended to work with Nova and we were very happy with Erik customer service). I'd say that Dror, the owner and later the Project Manager, quickly talked me into hiring his company for the project despite the rather "pricey" quote. He impressed me with his knowledge and promised a work with no charge time and/or change orders (unless something he can't see after demolition as he mentioned he is not a magician) and assured me that the team is dedicated and that they have very high standards and provide high quality of workmanship. He seemed to quickly understand what I'm looking for and was able to provide a detailed estimate at my house (very surprising while It took other companies about a week and they weren't half as detailed as Dror) and even gave me a 3% discount because we reached an agreement on the first appointment. We had initial problems with starting the project because of plan checker review (because we did structural work and removed a load bearing wall), which was not the company's fault at all. We waited patiently for the permit to arrives and as Dror promised once it's arrived they started the job right away (we got the permit on Tuesday and the crew started next Monday morning). Although we did most of the shopping on our own (my wife have strong opinion on the design she wanted) he guided us with what materials to look that will comply with CA regulations and provided us with accurate  measurements and quantities. Dror referred us to show rooms he work with that we could get discounts (he offered to come but there was no reason for that) and even opened an about in a specialty store that he didn't had an account with in order to save us an additional 15% on a really nice and expensive mosaic backsplash my wife wanted for the kitchen. I highly recommend Dror and his company as they are very efficient and organized. He was always on time and showed up whenever he says he would, he constantly kept us updated with whatever is going on and gave us an update every few days. We really enjoyed working with Oscar the foreman and the crew (especially Pedro). The results are excellent and the professionalism throughout was top notch.  The guys were always clean, polite, friendly and very hardworking. Sergio the tile guy is very talented as well and the tile work looks remarkable, thank you Sergio! I trust their professionalism, integrity, and quality of work. Their were a couple of small bumps here and there (which I expected with an approx time of 3 month renovation) but Dror was on top of everything and made sure to take care of them right away and to our satisfaction. It would take me 5 pages to give you in full detail how great Dor and his team are at A2Z Remodeling but I will give you some insight into the recent project we just completed. Project: Complete gut and remodel of a 4 unit building in Oakland, In the middle of the pandemic with supply chain issues/ material shortages and Covid 19. (Crazy! I know but this should give you a good background to how professional and knowledgable Dor and his team are!) This project was slated to take 9 months and we did in fact complete it on time and within budget. His team is experienced , professional and extremely knowledgable about the various crafts they perform (i.e Electrical, Carpeting, Painting, HVAC, Plumbing) and work hard/efficient and professionally, even working on weekends if that what was needed to finish on schedule. This was an extremely large and detailed project.Dor went above and beyond throughout this project and used all of his resources to ensure materials were available when needed even if that meant ordering supplies months in advance that would typically arrive right on time. Dor and his staff worked to Obtain 10 plus permits for the project, kept crews on site and kept schedules and provided schedules so material purchases would not be delayed due to supply chain issues. I have been in the business for decades and many crews would have taken 18 months to do what Dor and his crew did in 9 months considering the labor issues with Covid sickness/ Supply chain issues. More importantly to anyone considering working with A2Z, THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING, DO IT EVERYDAY, DO IT WELL, ON TIME AND AT A FAIR PRICE. My project was massive which they handled under the worst of circumstances in the middle of a global pandemic. I'll be honest - I was nervous hiring a contractor after hearing so many horror stories from friends. But A2Z Remodeling made the whole process way easier than I expected. We hired them for a full kitchen remodel (cabinets, countertops, backsplash, new lighting, and flooring). From the first estimate to the final walkthrough, they were professional and actually communicated - which seems rare these days. Mike came out to do the estimate. He listened to what we wanted, didn't try to push expensive upgrades we didn't need, and pointed out a few things we hadn't thought of (like moving an outlet that would've been behind the new fridge). The quote was detailed and clear - no vague line items. The crew showed up every morning between 8 and 8:30. They laid down floor protection, kept dust contained to the work area as much as possible, and cleaned up before leaving each day. We have a toddler, so this was huge for us. The work itself? Flawless. The cabinet install is level and solid, the tile backsplash lines are straight, and the new flooring transition looks factory. Our painter (I think his name was Luis) even came back the next day to touch up a couple spots without us asking. We had one small hiccup - the wrong cabinet handles were ordered. I called them at 9am, and by 2pm the correct ones were installed. That's the kind of service that matters. Total job took 12 days, exactly what they estimated. Final price came in $200 under the original quote because we ended up needing less material than they accounted for. Name another contractor that charges you less - I'll wait. We chose A2Z Remodeling over 4 other contractors we interviewed with to remodel our 2 bathrooms and we couldn't be happier. After meeting with Meir Bar and Dror Postiner himself we discussed a reasonable cost estimate for the work (they were not the cheapest but they showed a lot of knowledge and pointed things that no one else has mentioned) that needed to be done. Meir took us out shopping in a tile and plumbing fixture store while Dror worked on pulling our permit with his permit expediter. Throughout the entire process the staff from their front office to their onsite foreman Jose were always very responsive and helpful. This our second remodel (first one was a kitchen remodel in previous condo we used to live in) and we were very impressed with the level of communication, organisation, laborers were very knowledgeable about creating the bathroom we wanted to achieve while keeping up to date with building codes and city permits. We had several meetings with Meir throughout the project confirming location of plumbing, layout of tile etc. The guys gave us suggestions when we were clueless, and always advised us properly when choosing fixtures and other materials for the build. The crew, was clean, kept Covid protection and it was nice to see the same faces over and over again since the moment that we started until the end. Dror promised to be on time and budget and they were (it was helpful since once we set up a budget we wanted to make sure there are no surprises). We hired Dor after receiving 2 other bids. He was immediately very likable, his prices were reasonable, and felt we could trust him. Of all the contractors we interviewed, Dor was easily the most enthusiastic and responsive towards the needs of our project. We did a remodel of our kitchen/family room, replaced flooring in the entire house and painted all of the interior. After interviewing and choosing our contractor we had to wait 2 months before we could take possession of our new home because we let the previous owner rent back. We recently completed a remodel of two bathrooms with A2Z Remodeling. Meir Bar was our project manager, and he and his team were great to work with. One thing that stood out from the beginning was how responsive A2Z was. Unlike several other contractors we contacted, they responded quickly and got things moving without weeks of waiting. This was a substantial project involving two complete bathroom renovations with custom cabinetry, large-format porcelain slabs, and steam shower systems. We worked with Dror Postiner at A2Z Remodeling on a large project at our house that involved building an 300+ sq. ft. extension, moving our kitchen there, relocating our living room and adding a new bedroom and bathroom. We recently renovated our garage to make it a finished space for our son and his friends to use. We chose A2Z Remodeling because they were very prompt in coming out to assess the project, provide a quote and were competitive. They also provided great recommendations for our 'wish list' ideas. Arman was our project manager and did a great job keeping everyone in the loop at different points in the project. We had regular communication with regard to when crews would be showing up and if there were any delays or unexpected challenges. They estimated three weeks and were spot on. The quote for the original scope of work was fixed. We did have a couple of unexpected additions that came up but they explained what they were and our options and how much extra those fixes would be prior to taking action on them. The quote didn't include materials such as doors, baseboards, fixtures etc but they were clear about that from the beginning and provided accurate estimates of what those items would cost and even links and vendors to order from. A2Z Remodeling did an excellent job on our kitchen remodel. We interviewed many potential contractors, and Dror was by far the best project manager at listening to our ideas, answering our questions, and presenting a clear and thorough bid. We replaced all appliances, cabinets, countertops, light fixtures; and we upgraded our electrical sub-panel. Dror estimated a 6-7 week project, and that is exactly how long it took. Our project team was led by Eduardo, and they were a pleasure to have in our home, 6 days a week, 8-9 hours a day. They never missed a work day, they kept the work area very clean, and they consulted us on every detail. We are sticklers for the details, and the workmanship is perfect. Every cabinet is level, every door is aligned, every tile and grout line is even. Our kitchen is not expansive in size, and Dror ensured that our cabinet choices maximized every centimeter of storage space. We had a relatively small project, but one that is having a big impact on our everyday lives. Our laundry room was old, unappealing, and sorely lacking in storage. There was a lot of underutilized space. Dror helped us plan a much needed renovation. We especially appreciated Dror's prompt and effective communication throughout the process. There were no budget surprises and Dror even helped us save money on the countertop by using an off cut since our counter is small. Dror and team tiled the floors, handled plumbing and gas (adding recess boxes for the water and gas lines), added electrical outlets, installed the cabinets, installed the sink fixtures, and painted. The entire process was just under two weeks, which is what Dror estimated upfront. We also ordered the cabinets through their sister company A2Z Kitchen and Bath, which was super convenient. We also upgraded the main panel and apparently there are specific codes when it come to kitchen remodel. Dror offered to add a sub panel in the garage but since I would like to have a Tesla car charger in the future he told me I should already upgrade the main and and then won't need to do the extra sub panel. I highly recommend A2Z Remodeling. We finally tackled remodeling our bathroom that was in very sad shape in our craftsman home. Meir was our project manager and he was great to work with: he was reliable, communicative, friendly and always able to help solve whatever problems came up. It was clear he really wanted me to get what I wanted. Although the bathroom is small, we were able to maximize the space and we ended up with a beautiful new bathroom that makes me feel like I'm on vacation each morning.
