Gave them a two star because at least they streamline getting their money. Otherwise, the staff does not care about the reason for towing cars. According to one of the staff's account the property manager called in a car at a certain address. They came to my address instead and towed my car. When I saw this error they changed their story to justify what they did. I asked to speak to a manager and the staff did everything but make that happen and kept punting me around to their coworkers rather than letting me speak to the manager/owner (I think they said his name was John... they probably made that up to) to cover their tails. Additionally, there were plenty of other cars (including the car at the address they wrote down that they allegedly had to pick up from) in violation and they did nothing about those even when the cars were reported again. To make matters worst, why would they quote $400+ to get your car back before 0800 and then drop the price to $331 after 8 am? I arrived hoping to handle my business efficiently, but instead encountered an incredibly unprofessional and confrontational experience with Joe. When I approached, Joe was already in a heated argument on the phone. I remained patient and respectful despite the energy he brought into our interaction. As he reviewed my documents, he incorrectly claimed the VIN number was missing from my bill of sale--even though it was clearly visible. I calmly pointed it out and also showed official U.S. Customs paperwork with a validation stamp proving I'm the legal owner of the vehicle. Understanding that my vehicle is registered in Canada, I even tried to reason with him, knowing he might not be familiar with international documentation. Still, Joe insisted I leave the office at 2:30 a.m. to go print documents--something completely unreasonable, especially since we were already standing in an office with technology available. When I suggested emailing the documents, he said he had no email, which I found hard to believe in a professional setting. Then, after making me wait an hour for him to show up in the first place, he asked me to return at 6 a.m. When I calmly pointed out the inconsistency in his actions, Joe became defensive and kicked me out of the office. While I was outside speaking with my mechanic and expressing my frustration, Joe burst out of the office aggressively, accusing me of things I never said. I told him, in context, "If you keep smoking those cigarettes, you're going to die"--which he later twisted to say I threatened him. That was absolutely not the case. Instead of de-escalating, Joe heightened the situation. He called the police and gave them a false narrative. This behavior felt targeted and discriminatory. Rather than maintaining professionalism, he chose to escalate and distort the facts. I drove from the southwest area to handle my business properly and had all the required documentation to prove vehicle ownership. Joe even acknowledged it, then contradicted himself by saying I didn't have it. His behavior--chain-smoking, yelling, and dismissing valid paperwork--was not only unhelpful but unprofessional and demeaning. This experience was not just disappointing--it was unacceptable. We've used Action Towing several times during unfortunate circumstances. Each time the driver was friendly and courteous using all safety precautions with our vehicles. Some tows were from our home but recently my husbands front tire snapped from the upper control arm while doing 65 on the freeway. Action came to the rescue and loaded it in a very dangerous area of the interchange. He took great care loading it as to not cause further damage. Great guy with obviously a lot of experience. I was concerned about the negative reviews at first, but I gave Action Towing a try because they were able to come within an hour and their rate was reasonable. Make sure you know whether your car is 2WD or AWD because the dispatcher will ask. The tow guy arrived on time to load the car and deliver it to the auto shop as requested. Service was professional and straightforward, so I used them again to tow my elderly parents' car back to their house when it was ready for pick up at the auto shop. I went to pick my car up and get my belongings out of my vehicle Because my vehicle is not drivable cause this tow company or one their drivers decided to destroy my interior ripped my radio out also tore up my gear shifter for no reason whatsoever stole my Pittsburgh my car stereo tool bag with two DeWalt drills in there charger and also a bunch of miscellaneous tools supplies they stole as well. All my paperwork was missing forced entry to the vehicle. No broken windows nothing like that and the car was locked and was in pristine condition when I left it. This is by far the worst experience I've had with A tow company they literally pulled off all my panels in my center consul area for no reason to steal my radio and destroy the plastic where my gear shifter is now drivable, and I am out of car I have pictures Before and after this is quite ridiculous, I will be contacting corporate. You just don't steal from people The gentleman was also very rude to me about it telling me it's not his problem hung up on my Wife three different times on the phone company to shut down. My car wouldn't start, so I called this company. After 1 hour and 20 minutes, a tow came and checked my vehicle. The tow guy said he needed to jump-start to tow my vehicle. I asked him if it seemed to be a battery problem, and he said it was not. My vehicle was towed to the Honda-West dealer. The tow guy charged me $80 for 6 miles and $45 for a jump-start. Tow service was very quick to fill service call. Driver was knowledge about craft of towing and recovery... in fairness if it all ended there they would have got 11 out of a score possibility of 10. My tow was for a car without keys, so at drop off driver discovered the flatbed he was in was missing some kind skids to be able easily unload the recovered vehicle. Bad news for him as he could not unload the recovered vehicle. Or at least offload it with grace. He had to try and bounce a 5000 lb ford flex by radically operate the hydrualics of the flatbed causing it to bounce the vehicle off... This was something i had never seen in my 50 plus years in the car industry. What wasn't noticed immediately after the car was finally unloaded is the damage to my landscape curb. Driver was paid, drove off and in walking around car i realized the damage, photographed broken curb and immediately called action tow. They were polite and asked photos be forwarded and were BUT NOW THEY ARE GHOSTING ME for a week now. Thats why they have insurance...I thought??? Estimate is 500 and as you can see in pictures it must be fixed to look right. Bottoe line, avoid these people like the plague. read more

It took me to get my car towed to realize I had lost me registration card . After calling the California DMV, Kia finance , to get them to help me fax any information that proves I'm the owner of the car . CA DMV told me they would have to mail it and it would take 2-4 week. Kia finance told me it would take them 24-48 hours to fax . I was crying thinking I wasn't going to be able to get my car back. What a scare !! And not to mention I live in California and have to go to the dmv out there to get a printed registration card . Joana went above and beyond trying to find a solution for me . I can't recommend these guys even higher then I expected. The driver knew what he was doing on my Mercedes Benz unlike other towing companies just drug my car up on a flat bed. I received notifications from the roadside company stating they would be arriving within 90, and then 60 min. When I waited longer than 3 hours with my 3 month old and 2 year old in the cold. I called Action. They decided to reroute my driver to another car that they stated was in an emergency situation involving a car accident and police. When I talked to the manager, he assured me that had there not been an emergency he would have not rerouted the tow truck. I was later informed that the "emergency" was that the maids were unable to start their owners Mercedes that had been parked in the garage for months. No accident, no police, just a very poor excuse. My friend and I are from Los Angeles and spent weekend in Vegas. On our drive home we had a issue with my Mercedes. We called Mercedes roadside service and they dispatched Action Towing, however Mercedes sent the wrong information and my phone number to Action. Leaving us waiting for tow for about 3 hours. When I finally contacted Action myself. They knew who I was and had been trying to contact me. Mercedes never responded to their request for my phone number The dispatcher Bobby went extra mile to correct Mercedes error and desperately tried to get driver dispatched. To avoid any further delays getting a driver to us to get car to dealer before it closed. The driver they sent Luis, was professional and caring picking my car up and taking two senior women to the dealer in time. Had a blow out and called warranty. They assigned action towing. They arrived quickly but did not have a compressor on tow truck to inflate spare tire. Told me my option was to tow. I declined. So it Memorial Day and I'm just getting into town. I received a phone call about 8:30pm from my mother that some jerks ran off with her purse. Now she's stuck....no car keys, no wallet, and no cell phone. I was afraid they would return and steal the car so I wanted to get it towed ASAP. I called Action Towing about 8:55pm ON MEMORIAL DAY. Randy was very understanding of the situation we were going through. He arrived there within 10minutes. I was about 20minutes away from where the car was. Randy said he'd head there and look for the vehicle. Would block it so that no one took off with it. He did just that. He waited there until I arrived. They took care of us while we were going through a rough situation. Price was affordable, given the circumstance we would have paid more if needed.
