    Nigiri

Japanese restaurant with great value! I say Japanese, not just sushi, because the ramen I tried was less than $6 and actually had quite a flavorful broth. They seem to have a bunch of other appetizers and hot dishes that I would like to try too. The sushi was also great value: most nigiri was around $3-6.50 for two pieces. The quality is actually great too.

4.5 Stars I loved the menu that had pictures of all the sushi and the conveyer belt - style (but no conveyer belt) portions and ordering (checkmarked sheet). This structure of ordering allows you to try lots of types of sushi :) Salmon Sashimi Bowl ($12.99) - I was surprised by the quality of the fish. Loved all the components in the bowl too (roe, tamago, seaweed salad) and it was beautifully assembled. BF got a few California Roll pieces and Shrimp tempura roll pieces and wasn't a fan of- I liked them though! Kind staff.

Met my granddaughter and her Uber driver at aa Sushi for a fun, casual dinner. The service was fast and friendly. We had the calamari, a couple of California rolls, octopus, shrimp and eel. All of it was fresh and delicious, and the prices are a bit lower than most other sushi restaurants.

This place is SO GOOD! I've been ordering from here often through DoorDash and I couldn't believe they're a conveyer belt sushi! The quality of their sushi is one of the bests in the Eastside. Highly recommend!

My husband and I have continued to frequent AA Sushi since we arrived in Kirkland. There's always plenty of seating, so we never really have to deal with a wait. Staff is friendly and the owner is a hoot! Somehow he always remembers us and always brings the laughs. We enjoy the pay by the plate setup. Perfect for when you want to try a little of everything! We end up spending about $30 a piece each time we're there. The Atlantic salmon toro nigiri is my weakness - so tender and buttery! Any fish we get is fresh and the sushi is prepared beautifully. They have a huge selection of rolls, appetizers, and even some ramen. There's something for everyone!

Ordered this place for delivery not realizing how far this was from Seattle and I was shocked as to how good this place was with delivery from Kirkland. Ordered the Lion King, Godzilla, Black Spider, and Seared Salmon w/Garlic. Favorite was the Lion King roll with the salmon on top melting in my mouth, but also enjoyed the Black Spider and Seared salmon. Would probably pass on the Godzilla.

We got the Lion King roll, Hawaiian roll, V8 roll and Lampion roll along with a miso soup. Everything was worth it and fresh.

Tasty, fresh sushi. They come super small so ordered a lot of rolls. We've never been disappointed.

Tenzarusoba was exactly what I had in mind. Tempura was made perfectly with minimal oiliness. My husband got the sukiyaki and the flavoring was great. Not too sweet like the Americanized places. The server was efficient and polite. They all speak Japanese there which was a huge bonus. We came for a late lunch but you could tell this was a place where they had many regulars come by. Wish I lived nearby so I could become a regular here too. They played instrumental Japanese Pop songs from 90s and early 2000s in the background. Affordable and delicious. Give it a try.

It's been a few years since we last dined here. It's one of our go-to restaurants whenever we visit Seattle. Over the years, the menu has changed and so have the prices! I noted the higher menu prices but I wasn't surprised since the economy has been unstable lately. We were a family of four dining and our server graciously took group photos of us before and after the meal. What a cute gesture to offer to take after meal photos. hahaha! I think our smiles were bigger then. The fresh seafood, friendly and efficient service, and tasty Japanese food makes this still my go-to Japanese restaurant. I recommend this place.

The sashimi was beautifully served, fresh and delicious. I had one roll, salmon skin. I would like a touch less rice, but it tasted very good. The spicy scallop gankun was outstanding! When I first stepped in the door, I was so glad I brought a light jacket with me even though it was 80 degrees outside. I'm not sure why, but the restaurant had the A/C turned up so high that even the people eating next to us had their puffer coats on. Even with my coat on though, I was still cold. The interior is small and modern. However, the tables and menus were extremely and unpleasantly sticky. The soy sauce bottle was also empty at our table. I ordered the HAPPY HOUR CHIRASHI BOWL ($22 which is half the size and price of the usual $44 Chirashi Bowl off their main menu). It came with two pieces of salmon, two pieces of albacore, two pieces of hamachi, and two pieces of some other tuna (or maybe it was mackerel) plus tamago (egg), and Ikura (salmon roe) on top of their signature purple rice. The presentation was nice, but the fish quality lacked. The albacore in particular was so chewy I had trouble biting through it and so I knew it wasn't fresh; I ate one piece but left the other in the bowl because I didn't want to chance it. Regardless, my stomach regretted it later in the evening and the next day... Service was fine, but we had to waive down the waiter both to order and get our check. When he asked if I wanted a box for my piece of albacore, I told him it was too chewy and he said sorry and walked away. Overall, I was unfortunately disappointed by my experience at Kuro. For a recommended place on Yelp, I expected a better environment and fresh fish. Overall: 2/5 for food, 3/5 for service, 2/5 for atmosphere

Not a lot of people there for a random weekday lunch. Lots of different rolls and sushi on the menu, along with beverages. The happy hour menu is also valid during lunch time. We tried a bunch of appetizers. My favorite was the calamari. There isn't much batter but there is a sweetness from orange zest. The edamame and takoyaki were decent. The chicken kaarage was not particularly flavorful nor did it have much of a crispy skin. Also tried the Cos-no-politan mocktail which definitely had that grapefruit flavor. For mains, I got the bento and the Super Bad Boy roll off the happy hour menu. The bento box has good portions. The contents change day to day, but I got chicken teriyaki over rice, 3 pieces of a crab roll, 2 pieces of fish nigiri, seaweed salad with some small octopi. Everything in the box was decent except the teriyaki, which was a bit rubbery. As for the Super Bad Boy roll, it's one of their fried rolls, and the frying made the roll taste a bit dry. Should have ordered a non-fried roll. Overall, service was good, portions okay. Some items were good, some were not that great.
