The ambience is casual, not too loud and good for conversation. The location is convenient and parking is easy to find. Food: We ordered the spicy chicken teriyaki, and a combo of beef and chicken teriyaki. We both really enjoy our food, the sauce and the meat were on point. The spicy chicken teriyaki was not too spicy but has a nice kick to it. The salad was standard. The portion was generous, we had leftover for the next day. Went there about 2 weeks back on a Sunday, of all days, and came across Nasai. We used to live only a few blocks away but never stopped by the entire two years we lived there. I took our rather picky 6 year old and I walked away wanting to come back. The portions are good and the meat seems to be pretty good quality. The teriyaki was mild (even the spicy chicken wasn't hot) but wasn't cloying like some of the other places. individual plate portions were more than enough for two people to share. Rice is rice, so can't say too much about it. The included salad is exactly what you'd expect with the same sesame(?) dressing on the side. I'd equate it pretty close to Sappori Teriyaki in Redmond (one of my favorites) in terms of quality and quantity of food. Our 6 year old loved her pork teriyaki so much it's now her special "dining" restaurant when she gets a chance to choose a place and somehow loves the salad (she mainly steers clear of vegetables and especially salads everywhere else) - so I guess they must be doing something right. read more

I ordered my meal to-go and then I got home and opened it only to discover they just gave me dry chicken and rice with no teriyaki sauce. I paid $14.50 for the meal and I tipped $2.50, so I paid $17 total and they didn't even put teriyaki sauce on my "chicken teriyaki" meal. So before I could eat my meal I had to drive to the grocery store and buy a bottle of teriyaki sauce to put on my meal, and the bottle of teriyaki sauce cost me $7. So don't order a teriyaki meal here, they won't even put teriyaki sauce on it and you'll have to go out and buy your own bottle of teriyaki sauce if you want a teriyaki meal. read more

I have been going to this Teriyaki place for years. It was right down the street from where I went to high school and has always been in a convenient location for me. The service is pretty quick here. You can go in and order or call ahead and do takeout. They have parking out front and that also makes it extra convenient. You can also get a stamp card that they punch each time with a stamp towards a free meal. If you forget your card, don't worry, you can combine stamp cards to get your free meal. I like to order the special when I want some variety. It comes with Chicken Teriyaki and Gyoza. The Gyoza are not anything special but I still consider them better than most Teriyaki places. The chicken teriyaki is pretty saucy and comes with two large scoops of rice, just like their other meals. Recently I have been ordering the chicken breast teriyaki. "A healthier choice." To be a fan of the chicken breast teriyaki, you must be okay with eating semi dry chicken. I like it but I think that is because I am used to it being on the dry side. Each meal also comes with a little salad. This is your littler asian salad with a sweet honey mustard ish taste dressing; probably nothing nutritious coming from this. They also have the option to order brown rice. It has the texture of white rice if you were curious. We were really disappointed to see that Nasai is only using styrofoam for serving meals. Not just to go but for dining in. This is terrible not only for the environment as they are constantly creating unnecessary trash but eating hot meals out of styrofoam is not healthy as it melts it leaches chemicals. They blamed it on the pandemic but I can't understand how that has anything to do with their dishwasher. If that's the case they should absolutely be required to use a recyclable or compostable container. Their restroom is also "out of order" with a really dirty wood sign. Judging from the prior picture on this page from 4 months ago, it's been at least that long. Patrons cannot use the restroom to even wash their hands after opening the door and touching their cash/payment. Where do the employees get to use the restroom? Seems like another "pandemic" excuse. The chicken had an odd soft feel as if it was microwaved? You know the chicken Caesar salads you can get from like qfc/Fred Meyer with the small pieces of chicken that is like sort of chewy but soft? I've always been a fan of Nasai - I've been coming here for about 10+ years now. I don't know if it's because it's sentimental but I always go here if I have a craving and I'm in town. They have changed ownership since I first went here - so the taste of the food has changed. The parking lot can easily get packed - so just be mindful of that. I used to get Spicy Chicken Teriyaki - but now that I don't eat meat - I order the Yakisoba. You can ask for double-rice with your teriyaki if you don't want the side salad. The side salad is good - it comes with this sweet dressing that is bomb. If you are in a hurry - you can call ahead and order for pick-up. All in all, I always find myself back here whenever I am in the area and crave some teriyaki. read more

The lady working the counter in the evenings is rude and just doesn't care about customer service. We were in the middle of eating our dinner and she quite literally at 8pm kicked us out telling us they were now closed!! Seriously??? We have also come in at 7:45pm at night and ordered food only to be told "let me check and see if we have any of that still". Huh??? Don't you cook your food fresh and to order?? Apparently not at Nasai! I replied by saying, "well you can cook more, cant you? It's only 7:45. To which she replied, "we've already cleaned or grills". What??? You're open for another 15 minutes and you're turning away business and serving up food you've cooked up some time ago so that you can close and leave right at 8pm??? That's just simply not good business or the way to run a business!! This place has been my 425 teriyaki anchor for close to ten years now, even through a change of ownership. The current owner has been here for a few years, and it's even better than it was before he bought it. He's just finished remodeling, putting in nicer booths and tables--there's a vaguely Japanese aesthetic to the booths now, which is surprisingly appealing to look at. Surprisingly nice for a yaki place, I mean. The service here is always so cheerful and nice; I think the front of the house is mostly family. The prices are not the cheapest, but it's certainly not robbery--it's priced competitively with decent teriyaki. The spicy chicken breast has clearly been cooked whole and chopped to serve, and has decent heat to it. Thank goodness for the Sriracha bottles on the tables. There's a brown rice option, but the vegetables on the side are iceberg mix. I think they do have steamed real veggies for an extra fee. There's usually a Mariners game on the one TV, or some other sports focused as locally as possible. It's always, always, always busy. The yaki is great. I hadn't been in here for a couple years since my job moved to a building a little farther south, but it was fun to come back. read more
