Chicken teriyaki was delicious and prepared fast. This place is pretty solid, I've had several menu items over the years and it had always been great. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Plenty of tables inside and parking right outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Nasai Teriyaki is a tiny hole-in-the-wall spot in the Kirkland area on NE 85th Ave. It's conveniently located near Costco and the 405 freeway. There is parking in the front and there is indoor seating. I ordered the chicken teriyaki ($12.70) which came with a salad on the side. The chicken was tender although I could've used more sauce with the chicken. The portion size was pretty good and it was filling. The salad was standard and nothing special. This is a no-frills spot that has quick service and is an inexpensive meal.

Located in a strip mall with parking. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Spacious clean dining area with lots of booth and table seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was quick despite not ordering in advance. We ordered the katsu and chicken teriyaki with gyoza and both were delicious and good portioned.

Quick and easy meal and they have brown rice for a small up charge. Friendly service and free black tea with your meal.

Chicken and gyoza combo with brown rice (salad is not shown)

Ordered takeout here for dinner and thought it was pretty good. Portion is generous for the price as it's rare to find meals for under $15 dollars any more. We got the beef and pork teriyaki with stir fry veggies as well as the chicken and gyoza combo with the brown rice and salad. The beef here is very well cooked, it was tender and juicy. The brown rice and stir fry veggies were also fabulous. The rest was just standard for me. Fyi: it does cost $1 more for brown rice and $3 more to sub stir fry veggies. Overall, probably one of the better teriyaki places in the area for a reasonable price in my opinion

Hot & spicy stir fry (no rice, extra salad) and chicken katsu

Great service, good portion for the price, and delicious. Food is fresh, relatively healthy, and quick friendly service. We will definitely add this place in our regular rotation.

    Chicken teriyaki to go $12.99

Haven't been here since 2019! Food still really good! No idea if the serving sizes are still large since I got it to go. Basic chicken teriyaki for $12.99. Some places in Kirkland charge more so I would say this is considered a good deal for Kirkland standards.

    Veggie yakisoba. Success!

Standard teriyaki fare with a couple of alternatives like yakisoba- which I tried. It was good! We also tried the spicy chicken teriyaki which came with a small salad. Also good! I'm not a fan of the styrofoam's containers, but hopefully they're just using up their back stock. I would say Nasai Teriyaki is nothing to write home about but definitely good enough to write a Yelp review about.

The chicken and white rice "teriyaki" meal with no teriyaki sauce.

I ordered the chicken and white rice Teriyaki meal here a few days ago and they didn't even put teriyaki sauce on it and they also didn't give me any teriyaki sauce on the side. I ordered my meal to-go and then I got home and opened it only to discover they just gave me dry chicken and rice with no teriyaki sauce. I paid $14.50 for the meal and I tipped $2.50, so I paid $17 total and they didn't even put teriyaki sauce on my "chicken teriyaki" meal. So before I could eat my meal I had to drive to the grocery store and buy a bottle of teriyaki sauce to put on my meal, and the bottle of teriyaki sauce cost me $7. So don't order a teriyaki meal here, they won't even put teriyaki sauce on it and you'll have to go out and buy your own bottle of teriyaki sauce if you want a teriyaki meal.

Tables and booths are laid out in a way that gives patrons both privacy and a wonderful space to have conversations. The tableware is immaculate and thoughtfully picked out. Our server, Brandonlee A was truly a star! He was very friendly and has the entire menu memorized right down to the specific ingredients used in EVERY single dish- yes, even the side dishes! He's a big reason that we had such a wonderful first experience at Noii and I sincerely hope Management takes notice and promotes this guy to become a manager because he clearly is so passionate about his job, cares about the customers he serves and so knowledgeable about the food! That's something very refreshing to see in the service industry. The lunch bento set was wonderful - the sushi upgrade was definitely worth it too IMO, because I'm a huge aburi toro fan. Everything from the beef croquette to the salad with crispy fish skin and ikura was delicious. The food presentation/plating was 10/10 and it was a feast for the eyes too. Even the grilled chicken rice bowl with the onsen egg was so yummy. We also loved the yuzu mixed drinks as well. The birthday dessert with a yuzu jelly topped with meringue and edible flowers added the perfect finishing touch to our meal. The ambience, food and service were all a home run for me. That says a lot because VERY few restaurants are able to achieve the perfect trifecta of all 3. Hopefully they will keep these high standards up! This is now one of our favorite restaurants in Kirkland and we've already told all our friends to come check it out.

I'm placing this as one of my new favorite sushi spots on the Eastside! Four of us came for an early dinner around 4:30P on a Saturday and got seating right away in a booth. The restaurant is on the smaller end with just a few tables on each side and a few seats at the sushi bar. In addition to an appetizer, two of us shared three specialty sushi rolls and the other two in our group ordered the chicken katsu meal set. Our sushi arrived beautifully all on one plate. Each specialty roll included 10 pieces and they all contained a generous amount of filling with a relatively thin rice layer, making the average price of $18 - $19 per roll worth the value. + TAKOYAKI ($7.50): These deep-fried dumplings had a soft creamy interior and housed a small piece of tender octopus. Four pieces came in an order, topped with mayo, unagi sauce and bonito flakes. I loved the crispy exterior and they were served steaming hot. I am not sure they were made in-house or frozen, but they were delicious. + KOUSHI ROLL ($17.99): A crab, avocado and cucumber roll topped with cajun seared salmon, spicy mayo, unagi sauce, green onion and fish roe. Between the crab filling and spicy mayo, this is a pretty creamy roll. The salmon on top had a very light sear, so while the smoky flavor was noticeable, I considered it closer to raw. The unagi sauce added some sweetness that offset the mild spice. + NAGOYA ROLL ($18.99): Tuna avocado roll topped with salmon, ponzu sauce, sweet sesame sauce, green onion and fish roe. The freshness of the fish especially shined here between the large cubes of tuna inside and the meaty slice of raw salmon on top. The sauce simply enhanced the roll without taking over the flavor, so it didn't distract from the purity of the ingredients. + SETO ROLL ($18.99): Spicy tuna and cucumber inside topped with tuna, ponzu sauce and green onion. This roll is HOT, like at least 3/5 stars on the spice scale! As spicy as it was, I really enjoyed it, especially since half the roll was topped with medium fatty tuna which was such a nice treat. Lean tuna draped over the other half. Chopped green onion on top added pops of freshness. The chicken katsu meal ($16.99) came with salad, rice and miso soup. I tried one piece of the chicken which was tender and had an excellent light crunch! Service was great as the two employees managing the dining room checked back a couple times and were actively watching in case any of the tables needed anything. I know I'll be back again for more sushi!

I didn't see any offer to top off the dipping broth with daishi broth (soup-wari). Not a deal breaker though! I love Japanese curry, and was so stoked to see such a unique curry on the menu (made with dark chocolate so it gives a richer flavor). $5 more to add shredded cabbage and miso soup; I definitely think this is worth it because there's no other fresh greens in the entree. It helps cut the heavy, fried-ness of the katsu and provides a different texture. My shrimp (ebi) katsu curry was so flaky and crispy, which is so hard to find at katsu shops where the breading is cakey and falls off the protein. However, the shrimp to flakes ratio was off and I could hardly taste the shrimp or know when I bit shrimp versus the flakes because there was so much breading. This wasn't a problem for the pork katsu, though! The portion size is massive; half the plate is rice, and the other half is the curry. For $29 for the shrimp katsu ($34 total pre tax and tip after adding the shredded cabbage and miso soup combo), I think it's worth the price if you're starving or sharing. I think it'd be cool if they did a protein combo where you pick two proteins, especially because they have a variety of pork options. This would help people justify their cost while tasting more of the menu with less overwhelming commitment. Servers are kind and attentive, and they don't rush you when you order or need more time. The interior is beautiful and well-lit with bar seating, tables and booths, and high top tables too. I'd come again if I wanted to share a katsu entree with a friend!
